1.Study on the effects of the TT1 prescription in treating light and medium hypertension without blood lipid metabolic disorder
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;517(8):74-77
A controlled prospective study included 50 normal Swiss white mice and 62 patients with mild and moderate hypertension without blood lipid metabolic disorder were divided into two groups randomly. The control group: 31 patients treated by Caporil 25mg, two tablets twice daily, (at 12 hours intervals). The study group: 31 take a TT1 prescription daily within 28 days continuously. The result showed that: No acute toxicity from TT1 prescription on trial dose of white mice: 50g/kg. No side effects occur when the patient uses a TT1 prescription daily. No blood lipid metabolic disorder on mild and moderate hypertension patients. TT1 had clearly good efficacy on hypotension. This efficacy after two weeks treatment is less effective than Caporil 25mg, twice daily but equivalent with Caporil 25mg, twice daily after 4 weeks. Some symptoms such as dazzle, dizziness, headache, red face, red eyes, tightness on chest had improved by TT1 and it was much better than Caporil.

2.Lipaemia disorders in diabetes
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2003;285(6):17-22
Investigation on 72 diabetics in Ha Noi communities found that: Lipaemia disorders of diabetics were high. Among cholesterol total (CT) increased acquired 41.67%, trigleceride (TG) increased acquired 38.89%, high density lipid (HDLC) decreased acquired 26.39% and low density lipid (LDLC) increased acquired 25%. The disorders associated 2 lipid index commonly was: CT increased associated with LDLC increased, then CT increased associated with TG increased and CT increased associated with high density lipid HDLC decreased. The complications indiabetics with lipeamia disorders such as: hypertension, visual acuity decreased, retinopathy and peripheral neural lesions

3.Remarks on change and biochemical indices link the elderly with hypertension at An Hai District - Hai Phong
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2004;304(11):151-157
The study of 165 the elderly with hypertension and 50 healthy people of the controls at An Hai District - Hai Phong. The hypertension: the age group of 60 - 70 is 60.61%. Blood lipid disorder of the elderly with hypertension is 61.68%; the mean cholesterol total increasing in the age group, the average triglycerid is most increased at the age group of 75 - 84 (2,02 mmol/l); the average HDL-C is the lowest at the age group of 75 - 84 (1.05 mmol/l); LDL-C increasing follow age. Blood glucose, blood creatinin of the elderly with hypertension is much higher than in the controls people

4.Study on the changes of blood - lipid ratio in primary nephrotic syndrom before and after treatment
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;0(12):49-50
Study on the changes of blood - lipid ratio in primary nephrotic syndrom under effect of general treatment. Objects included 43 patients (34 men and 9 women) at the age from 18 to 44. The result showed that: In patients with nepherotic sydrome, through treatment increased total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL-cholesterol, Apolipoprotein A1 and Apolipoprotein B, descreased HDL cholesterol. After the treatment without use lipid lowering actions of drugs, the result show that reduction of total and LDL-cholesterol, triglyceride, Apolipoprotein A1 and Apolipoprotein B, increased of HDL cholesterol.

6.Studying correlation between weight, BMI and blood pressure and increasing lipaemia in staffs checked up health in Ha Dong area in 2004
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;501(1):44-46
Studying relationship between obesity, blood pressure and dyslipidemia on 138 people (from 20 to 60 ages) presented at Ha Tay hospital showed that: Percentage of hyperlipidemia in these subjects was 47.1%. Average value of systolic and diastolic blood pressure in overweight people and in people with degree I and degree II obese were the same. Rate of overweight was 7.79% in men and 16.67% in women. Obesity in degree I was 2.17% in men and 6.52% in women. Rate of increasing total cholesterol combine with hypertriglycerides in
over weight group was higher than that in control group (31.1% vs 12.9%). Risk factors affected on hyperlipidemia included: BMI≥23 had been seen in 10.14% of men and 23.19% of women. The waist to buttock circumference ratio ≥0.95 presented in 6.52% of men. The waist to buttock circumference ratio ≥0.85 had been seen in 30.43%

8.Clinical study on acupuncture for treatment of 80 cases of simple obesity.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2005;25(2):95-97
OBJECTIVETo search for an effective method for treatment of obesity and to study the mechanism of acupuncture slimming treatment.
METHODSThe cases of obesity were randomly divided into a diet group of 40 cases and an acupuncture group of 80 cases. Their therapeutic effects and changes of TC, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C contents before and after treatment were observed.
RESULTSThe effective rate of 76.3% in the acupuncture group was better than 27.5% in the diet group, and acupuncture could decrease serum TC, TG, LDL-C contents and increase HDL-C content.
CONCLUSIONAcupuncture combined with diet therapy is an effective method for reducing weight at present, and metabolism of lipids is involved in acupuncture slimming mechanism.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2005;25(8):542-544
OBJECTIVETo observe therapeutic effect of acupuncture on diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) and explore the mechanism.
METHODSSixty-eight cases of DPN were treated with acupuncture at Jianyu (LI 15), Quchi (LI 11), Waiguan (TE 5) etc. and their blood sugar, blood lipids and hemorrheologic indexes and nerve conductive velocity before and after treatment were determined.
RESULTSAfter treatment, 43 cases were markedly effective, 20 cases were effective and 5 cases were ineffective, with a total effective rate of 92.6%; the nerve conductive velocity, plasma insulin, C-peptide, opioid peptides increased significantly (P<0.01) and blood viscosity significantly decreased (P<0.01).
CONCLUSIONAcupuncture has a definite therapeutic effect on DPN and the increase of nerve conductive velocity is possibly related with the increase of plasma opioid peptides.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the differences of metabolic pathways of leucocyte-deplated RBCs prepared by using lipid whole blood and nomal blood during routine storage so as to provide some reference for clinical blood use.
METHODSTwenty U whole blood from 20 donors, including 10 U lipid blood and 10 U normal whole blood, were selected for preparing leukodepleted red blood cells, red blood cells were taken from storage bags on day 0, 14 and 35, respectively. Metabolites in the red blood cells were analyzed, red blood cell metabolic extracts were detected by UPLC-MS/MS. The metabolite data of RBC from 2 groups were analyzed by SIMCA-P 13.0 software using OPLS-DA and by SPSS 19.0 using Mann-Whitney U test. Difference of metabolic pathways was described according to different metabolites.
RESULTSThe glucose, adenine, pyruvic acid, GSH, GSSG and niacinamide levels on day 0 in lipid RBCs were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). The glucose, pyruvic acid and GSH levels on day 14 in lipid RBCs were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the levels of adenine, GSSG and niacinamide were higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The glucose level on day 0 was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), and the levels of adenine and niacinamide were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). but the pyruvic acid, GSH and GSSG levels were not significantly different between 2 groups (P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONCompared with the normal red blood cells, the energy metabolism pathway decreases in lipid red blood cells within the storage period and pentose phosphate pathway increases.
