Objective To investigate the protective effect of breviscapine on ischemia-reperfusion renal injury, which provides scientific theoretical basis for clinical prevention and treatment of renal ischemia-reperfusion injury. Method 36 SPF male healthy SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups, 12 rats in each group. Group A was ischemia-reperfusion group, group B was erigeron breviscapus injection preconditioning group, and group C was sham operation group. Rats in group A and C were injected with normal saline, while rats in group B were given 12 ml/kg erigeron breviscapus injection by intraperitoneal injection., After 14 days, renal function, renal antioxidant indexes, renal cell apoptosis indexes and expression of Bcl-2, Bax in renal tissue of three groups were compared. Results The indexes of renal function showed that blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and Serum creatinine (SCr) in group B were significantly lower than group A (P<0.05), but significantly higher than group C (P<0.05). Renal antioxidant indexes showed that superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in group B were significantly higher than group A (P<0.05), but significantly lower than group C(P<0.05). The index of renal cell apoptosis showed that the apoptosis index AI in group B was significantly lower than group A (P<0.01), but significantly higher than group C (P<0.01). The results of immunohistochemical staining showed that the expression of Bcl-2 in group B were significantly higher than that of group A and group C (P<0.05), and the expression of Bax in group B was significantly lower than that in group A (P<0.05) while significantly higher than group C (P<0.01). The ratio of Bcl-2/Bax in group B was significantly higher than group A and group C (P<0.05). Conclusion Erigeron Breviscapus Injection may have a protective role on renal ischemia reperfusion injury though antioxidant and anti-apoptosis.

3. Progress of radioactive 125I seed implantation brachytherapy for treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer
Chinese Journal of Interventional Imaging and Therapy 2020;17(1):47-50
125I brachytherapy can generate a high dose within target tumor volumes to continuously destroy tumor cells due to its characters of low radioactivity, high precision, little trauma to surrounding normal tissues and high conformity. It is a more effective treatment for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) without chance of surgery and with weak constitution. Research progress of radioactive 125I particle implantation brachytherapy for treatment of advanced NSCLC were reviewed in this article.

BACKGROUND/AIMS: The current study aims to investigate the protective effects of Bifidobacterium infantis on the abnormal immune response to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-induced colitis. METHODS: Eight-week-old BALB/c mice were separated into five groups at random (control, DSS, DSS+B9 [B. infantis 1×10⁹ CFU], DSS+B8 [B. infantis 1×10⁸ CFU], and DSS+B7 [B. infantis 1×10⁷ CFU]). Colitis was induced by 5% DSS ad libitum for 7 days, at which time we assessed weight, the disease activity index (DAI) score, and the histological damage score. The nuclear transcription factor Foxp3 (a marker of Treg cells), cytokines interleukin-10 (IL-10) and transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1), and related proteins (programmed cell death ligand 1 [PD-L1] and programmed cell death 1 [PD-1]) were detected by an immunohistochemical method and Western blot. RESULTS: B. infantis increased weight, decreased DAI scores and histological damage scores, increased the protein expression of Foxp3 (p<0.05) and cytokines IL-10 and TGF-β1 in mouse colon tissue (p<0.05), and increased the expression of PD-L1 in the treatment groups relative to that in the DSS group (p<0.05). The effect of B. infantis on Foxp3 and PD-L1 was dose dependent in the treatment groups (p<0.05). PD-L1 was positively correlated with Foxp3, IL-10, and TGF-β1. CONCLUSIONS: In a mouse model of IBD, B. infantis can alleviate intestinal epithelial injury and maintain intestinal immune tolerance and thus may have potential therapeutic value for the treatment of immune damage in IBD.

Objective:To explore the significance of empathy and executive function indexes in the diagnosis and classification of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).Methods:According to DSM-Ⅴ diagnostic criteria, 33 children with ASD, 30 children with ADHD and 39 typical development (TD) children and adolescents were enrolled as the research subjects. The empathy and executive function characteristics were compared and analyzed in the subjects.Based on empathy and executive function indicators, the three groups of subjects were diagnosed and classified by machine learning method. Results:The total score of Griffith empathy measure parent ratings(GEM-PR)(ASD: (0.67±0.64), ADHD: (1.00±0.79), TD: (0.98±0.73)) and each factor score ( F=3.595-10.363, all P<0.05) and the total score of behavior rating inventory of executive function(BRIEF)(ASD: (62.79±7.45), ADHD: (59.47±8.77), TD: (49.08±7.91)) and each factor score of the three groups were different ( F=6.557-33.205, all P<0.01). Among them, the scores of empathy and executive function in ASD and ADHD groups were generally higher than those in TD children (all P<0.05). When combined with BRIEF scale and GEM scale, the classification accuracy of the three groups reached 62.75%. Conclusion:Both ASD and ADHD children have damages in empathy and executive function.Combining empathy and executive function indexes are more helpful for diagnosis and classification than single index.
