Objective To investigate the therapy efficiency and complication prevention in patients undergoing radiofrequency current catheter ablation combined with multiple X-ray projecting angles. Methods Two hundred and six atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) patients were involved in this study. The distance between the tip of His and the ostium of coronary sinus were measured under different X-ray projecting angles respectively, including posterior anterior (PA), right anterior oblique 30° (RAO 30° ) and left anterior oblique 45° (LAO 45° ) in each patient, and mapping was proceeding under the corresponding X-ray projecting angles with the longest distance. The distance between ablating catheter and His was confirmed again before powering by the other two X-ray projecting angles. Results The longest distance between the tip of His and the ostium of coronary sinus were obtained in 66,75 and 65 patients under PA,RAO 30° and LAO 45° respectively(P> 0.05 ),and the data were (2.94 ± 0.87), (2.98 ± 0.76)and (2.91 ± 0.52) cm(P> 0.05). Transient first or second degree of atrioventricular blocking was observed in 4 cases among 22 high risk patients in which the powering sites were above the medium level of the distance between the tip of His and the ostium of coronary sinus under three kinds of X-ray projecting angles obviously. However, only 1 case was observed in other 184 patients(P< 0.01 ). All patients were cured successfully and no permanent atrioventricular blocking occurred. Conclusion Radiofrequency current catheter ablation combined with multiple X-ray projecting angles is helpful to increasing the successful rate and preventing complication in ablating therapy.

AIM: To investigate the effects of homocysteine (Hcy) on apoptosis and expression of caspases-3 in cultured human vascular smooth muscle cells (HVSMCs). METHODS: HVSMCs were cultured in vitro. The rate of apoptosis in HVSMCs was detected by flow cytometry. The expression of caspases-3 mRNA in HVSMCs was detected by reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). RESULTS: The rates of apoptosis in HVSMCs incubated with 500 ?mol/L Hcy for 0 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h and 48 h were 2.39%?0.47%, 2.45%?0.64%, 7.58%?1.02%, 13.37%?4.71% and 17.69%?3.13%, respectively. The ratio of the absorbance of caspases-3 mRNA/GAPDH was 0.24?0.08, 0.29?0.10, 0.89?0.26, 1.37?0.24 and 1.82?0.53,respectively, suggesting that Hcy induces the apoptosis and expression of caspases-3 mRNA in HVSMCs in a time-dependent manner. The rates of apoptosis in HVSMCs incubated with 0, 100, 200, 500 or 1 000 ?mol/L Hcy for 24 h were 2.68%?0.23%, 2.79%?0.12%, 8.45%?2.41%, 13.37%?4.71% and 23.75%?5.56%, respectively, revealing that Hcy induced the apoptosis in HVSMCs in a concentration-dependent manner. CONCLUSION: Hcy induces the apoptosis in HVSMCs by regulating the expression of caspases-3, which may be one of the mechanisms involved in atherosclerotic effects of Hcy.

AIM: To evaluate whether tolerogenic dendritic cells (DC) loaded with heat shock protein 60 (HSP60) inhibit the progression of aortic atherosclerotic plaque in hypercholesterolemic apolipoprotein E (Apo-E) -null mice. METHODS: Bone marrow derived DC of the mice were loaded with HSP60 and co-cultured with rapamycin to generate tolerogenic DC. The tolerogenic DC, DC loaded only HSP60 and PBS were injected into the ApoE-null mice at 8 weeks of age for three times at a one-week interval. 8 weeks after the last injection, aorta were harvested for HE staining and anti-CD4~+T cell immunostaining. Responses of pleenic cells to HSP60 were also evaluated. RESULTS: Compared with DC, DC_ HSP60 expressed higher levels of CD86, and stimulated T lymphocytes to proliferation significantly, while the tolerogenic DC expressed lower levels of CD86, and inhibited T lymphocytes to proliferation. After immunization with different injection, the numbers of CD4~+ T cells in plaque were increased significantly in DC_ HSP60 group vs in PBS group (P

Giant tumor cells and their varieties in the bone marrow were found in 7 patients with abnomal hematopoiesis phenomena. These cells were artificially devided into 5 kinds according to the difference of their morphology. Most of these cells were corresponding to lymphoid-monocytoid-macrophagocytoid cells with Wright's staining, cytochemical stainings, immunocytochemical stainings, flow cytometry examination, electron microscopy and pathologic study. The bone marrows were hypercellular and marked dysplastic hematopoiesis phenomena. Two of the 7 cases were diagnosed as malignant lymphoma with bone marrow biopsy. All cases characteristically showed no lymph node enlargement or hepatosplenomegaly or any local tumor mass. As to the prognosis of these cases, two patients died with survival time of 8 and 17 months, respectively, one was on critical condition at course of 10 months, and the other 4 cases were in comparatively stable condition with courses of 2.5 to 24 months. These patients seem to be a group of rare malignant lymphoid-monocytoid-macrophagocytoid proliferative diseases.

Objective To systematically evaluate the adult intraoperatively acquired pressure injury risk prediction model. Methods Related study on IAPI risk prediction model in Chinese and English databases such as CBM,CNKI,PubMed and Web of Science were searched. The language is limited to Chinese and English, and the search time is until November 4,2022.Two researchers independently screened the literature and extracted the data, and applied the bias risk assessment tool of prediction model research to analyze the bias risk and applicability of the included literature. Results 13 articles were included, including 17 models(operation time, age, diabetes,BMI and serum albumin are the most commonly used predictors).Among the 17 models, the area under the curve of 14 models was 0.616 to 0.984,and the other study did not report the AUC results.Among the 13 studies,10 had good applicability, while the remaining 3 had unclear applicability.13 studies have a high risk of bias, mainly because the included studies are retrospective studies, the predictive factors are screened based on univariate analysis, and the predictive outcomes are not defined by guidelines or standardization. Conclusions The existing IAPI risk prediction model for adults has good applicability, but the risk of bias is high, and the construction is not perfect. It is necessary to pay attention to the effectiveness of different risk assessment methods in the later construction,so as to get a better and more accurate risk prediction model and provide some reference and basis for formulating relevant prevention strategies.
