1.Lead Contamination of Drinking Water Stagnated in Household Pipe

Objective To investigate lead pollution of drinking water stagnated in household pipe and its characteristic, and provide the scientific basis for safe and health consumption of drinking water. Methods 30 taps in households were randomly chosen as objects. According to the stagnated time the water samples were divided into group A (12-13 hours), group B (7-8 hours) and group C (3-4 hours). The samples were collected in 0 min, 1 min and 2 min after opening taps. Lead levels in the samples were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), whose comparative analysis was performed by SPSS software. In total, 320 samples were analyzed. Results In group A, lead concentrations (geometric mean, the same for latter) of water samples in 0 min, 1 min and 2 min were 61.33, 12.27and 5.47 ?g/L respectively, but they were 33.90, 9.13 and 4.59 ?g/L in group B,and 11.37, 6.29 and 4.27 ?g/L in group C. 2.Clinical study of growth development and endocrine function of long-survived children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia

ObjectiveTo study the effects of chemotherapy on growth development and endocrine function of long-survived children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Methods30 ALL patients who were received standard chemotherapy and survived more than five years were enrolled in this study. Their growth and development data and endocrine function examination were investigated. ResultsThrough testing,except two cases of height more than two standard deviation above,the others were all within the normal range; BMI exceeded bid in 1, and the rest were in the normal range;The results of sex hormones examination were consistent with age and Tanner installment, the girls appeared secondary sex characteristics in 9 years old or so,menstruation in 13 years old. Boys appeared sec-ondary sex characteristics around 10 years old;Cortisol and promote adrenal cortical hormone with 2 cases of obese children were in the normal range,but c-peptide and insulin were elevatory;The results of IGF-1 were in the normal range. ConclusionChemotherapy had no significant effect on growth development and endocrine function for patients with ALL.
3.Genetic analysis of neonatal diabetes mellitus and its influence on treatment outcome

Fourteen neonatal diabetes mellitus(NDM)patients were recruited. 9 patients were treated with glyburide and the other 5 with insulin. ABCC8, KCNJ11, and INS genes were sequenced in 6 of them. Gene mutations were found in 2, 1, and 1 cases in these genes, respectively. One case with 6q24 hypomethylation and another without known mutation were also found. 8 out of 9 patients treated with glyburide reached euglycemia(88.9%). The other 5 patients with insulin therapy either died or lost contact. The results suggest that glyburide therapy is effective in neonatal diabetes mellitus, while insulin therapy may contribute to poor compliance.
4.Real-time Detection Method for Motion Artifact of Photoplethysmography Signals Based on Decision Trees

PPG(photoplethysmography)holds significant application value in wearable and intelligent health devices.However,during the acquisition process,PPG signals can generate motion artifacts due to inevitable coupling motion,which diminishes signal quality.In response to the challenge of real-time detection of motion artifacts in PPG signals,this study analyzed the generation and significant features of PPG signal interference.Seven features were extracted from the pulse interval data,and those exhibiting notable changes were filtered using the dual-sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test.The real-time detection of motion artifacts in PPG signals was ultimately based on decision trees.In the experimental phase,PPG signal data from 20 college students were collected to formulate the experimental dataset.The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves an average accuracy of(94.07±1.14)%,outperforming commonly used motion artifact detection algorithms in terms of accuracy and real-time performance.
5.Analysis of brain gray matter volume alterations in adolescents with bipolar disorder

Objective To explore the alterations in gray matter volume(GMV)in adolescents with bipolar disorder(BD).Methods 36 BD patients(BD group)and 37 healthy controls(HC group)who underwent magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)for artificial visual inspection in Affiliated Hangzhou First People's Hospital,School of Medicine,Westlake University from September 2019 to December 2021 were selected.Structural MRI data were processed by using FreeSurferv6.0.0,and statistical analysis were conducted by using SPSS 26.0 and R language software.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve were employed to assess the diagnostic efficacy of various brain regions.Results Compared to HC group,patients in BD group exhibited significant reductions in GMV in the right superior frontal gyrus,right nucleus accumbens,left insula,right lateral orbitofrontal cortex,and right medial orbitofrontal cortex(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis indicated that area under the curve(AUC)for the right superior frontal gyrus and right nucleus accumbens were 0.739 and 0.712 respectively,while the combined AUC for multiple brain regions was 0.820.Conclusion Adolescents with BD show significant reductions in GMV in specific brain regions,provide reference for the early identification and pathological mechanism research of BD.
