BACKGROUND: Whether one-stage bone healing with red bone marrow or mesenchymal stem cell transplantation is needed? Whether closed reduction with intramedullary interlocking nailing combined with autologous red bone marrow transplantation can promote osteogenesis in the one-stage treatment of femoral comminuted fracture still remains unclear. OBJECTIVE: To explore the effects of closed reduction with intramedullary interlocking nailing and one-stage treatment with autologous red bone marrow transplantation on fracture healing. METHODS: Twenty healthy New Zealand rabbits were selected and anesthetized, and then the models of femoral comminuted fracture were established at the hinder limbs after throwing a 5 kg of hammer from 30 cm height. All rabbits underwent intramedullary fixation using Kirschner wire (diameter: 2 mm); the right limbs served as control groups, and the left limbs as transplantation group, subjected to the injection of autologous red bone marrow (1 mL) into the fracture region. Then the rabbits were respectively killed at 14, and 28 days after modeling, the thickness of thickest callus was measured on X-ray films, and the number of chondrocytes and relative area of bone trabecula in the fracture region were observed through hematoxylin-eosin staining under light microscope.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The thickness of callus formation in the control group was significantly less than that in the transplantation group at 14 days after modeling (P < 0.01). (2) The number of chondrocytes in the transplantation group was significantly more than that in the control group at 14 days after modeling (P < 0.01),and the fracture healing in the transplantation group was faster that in the control group. (3) Compared with the transplantation group, the relative area bone trabecula in the fracture region in the control group was significantly reduced at 28 days after modeling (P < 0.01). (4) These finding indicate that red bone marrow transplantation promotes fracture healing in the intramedullary fixation for femoral comminuted fracture in rabbits.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the characteristic and regularity of antineoplastics-induced ADR,and to provide refer-ence for safety use of antineoplastics in clinic. METHODS:In retrospective study,309 cases of antineoplastics-induced ADR col-lected from a special hospital during Jan.-Dec. 2015 were summarized and analyzed statistically. RESULTS:Among 309 ADR cas-es,female (58.25％) was more than male (41.75％). The patients aged more than 40 years old occupied the highest proportion (78.64％). Main route of administration was intravenous dripping(94.82％). There were 225 cases of severe ADR(72.82％). To-tal 268 cases were improved after drug withdrawal or treatment(86.73％). A total of 24 kinds of antineoplastics were involved in 309 ADR cases;most of ADR were induced by docetaxel,followed by cisplatin,cyclophosphamide. Most common organs/system involved in ADR was hemopoietic system (64.24％),main clinical manifestation was myelosuppression. CONCLUSIONS:It is necessary to strengthen ADR monitoring,prevent,discover and treat antineoplastics-induced ADR timely,in order to reduce the harm to the patients and ensure the safety and effectiveness of drug treatment.

Objective To study the risk factors of severe acute pancreatitis(SAP) complicated with MODS at the early stage.Methods One hundred and seven SAP patients served as A group,who admitted from Janurary 1995 to December 1999.One hundred and thirty patients served as B group who admilted from Janurary 2000 to 2005.Age,sex,Ranson' score,APACHEⅡ ,CT score,biliary tract obstruction,hypoxia,lung infection,shock,abdomen compartment syndrome,hyperlipemia,pleural effusion,and mortality were analyzed.Results Twenty-five in the A group and 28 in B group two were complicated with MODS at the early stage.There existed difference in Ranson's score,APACHEⅡ,CT score between patients with and without MODS(P

AIM:To establish HPLC fingerprint for controlling the quality of Rubus chingii Hu. METHODS: Analysis was performed on Alltech C_(18) column(250 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m)with a mixture of acetonitrile and water as mobile phase in gradient mode,flow rate was 1.0 mL/min,wavelength at 211 nm. RESULTS: There were 15 common peaks in the HPLC fingerprints of Rubus chingii Hu.The RSD of precision and reproducibility lay within 5%. CONCLUSION: The method has good sensitivity and repeatability.This chromatographic fingerprint method can be used to controll the quality of Rubus chingii Hu.

OBJECTIVE:To prepare Geinstein (GEN) solid dispersion,and improve the dissolution rate of GEN in vitro. METHODS:Using PVP K30,PEG6000,and PEG4000 as carriers,GEN solid dispersion was prepared by solvent melting meth-od,and its dissolution in vitro was investigated. The structure of the solid dispersion was characterized by FTIR and DSC. RE-SULTS:GEN solid dispersion prepared with PEG4000 as carrier was better than those with other carriers in dissolution,and drug-carrier ratio (1:5) was the best. The results of DSC and FTIR showed that GEN in solid dispersion took amorphous form. CONCLUSIONS:GEN solid dispersion is prepared successfully and significantly improve the dissolution of GEN in vitro.

Objective To further clarify the pathogenesis of different types of Kaposi′s sarcoma (KS) by measuring the protein expressions of caspase-3 and E-cad in tumor tissues of Xinjiang Uygur patients with acqured immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)-Kaposi′s sarcoma (KS) and classical KS.Methods From July 2011 to October 2014, 38 patients with KS at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University and Urumqi Infectious Disease Hospital were enrolled, among whom 28 were male and 10 were female, and all of them were uygur.Immunohistochemical and Western blot methods were used to detect the expressions of caspase-3 and E-cad proteins in 22 cases of AIDS-KS patients and 16 cases of classic KS.The quantitative data of normal distribution were analyzed by t test, while count data were compared with χ2 test with R × C table.Results KS lesions in patients with classic KS were confined to the skin, without mucosal, lymph node or visceral involvement.Lesions in AIDS-KS patients were not only confined to the skin and superficial lymph nodes, but also oral mucosa involved in 12 cases and internal organs involved in 7 cases.Liver and lung involvement was more common.The CD4+T lymphocyte count in patients with AIDS-KS was (200.8±166)/μL.All 15 AIDS cases with CD4+ T cell count less than 200/μL developed opportunistic infections.CD4+ T lymphocyte count of patients with classic KS was (562.52±222.66)/μL and the 16 patients with CD4+T lymphocyte count greater than 350/μL had no opportunistic infections.The results of immunohistochemistry showed that the positive expression rate of caspase-3 protein in KS tissues in patients with AIDS-KS was 68.2%, in patients with classic KS was 100.0%, with significant difference between two groups (χ2=7.37, P=0.01).The positive expression rate of E-cad protein in KS tissues in patients with AIDS-KS was 72.7%, in patients with classic KS was 100.0%, with significant difference between two groups (χ2=5.18, P=0.03).Western blotting showed that the gray value of caspase-3 in the KS tissue of patients with AIDS-KS was 0.55±0.36, and that in patients with classic KS was 0.86±0.56, with significant difference between two groups (t=-2.070, P<0.05).The gray value of E-cad in the KS tissue of patients with AIDS-KS was 0.54±0.41, and that in patients with classic KS was 0.85±0.45, with significant difference between two groups (t=-2.060,P<0.05).Conclusions There are differences in the protein expressions of caspase-3 and E-cad in tumor tissues of patients with AIDS-KS and classical KS in Xinjiang Uygur patients with Kaposi's sarcoma, which may correlate with a faster progression and a higher mortality rate for AIDS-KS.

The first genetic linkage map of Salvia miltiorrhiza was constructed in 94 F1 individuals from an intraspecific cross by using simple sequence repeat (SSR), sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) and inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers. A total of 93 marker loci in the linkage map, consisting of 53 SSR, 38 SRAP and 2 ISSR locus were made up of eight linkage groups, covered a total length of 400.1 cm with an average distance of 4.3 cm per marker. The length of linkage groups varied from 3.3 -132 cm and each of them included 2-23 markers, separately. The result will provide important basis for QTL mapping, map-based cloning and association studies for commercially important traits in S. miltiorrhiza.

Objective To analyze and evaluate the current progress of blood transfusion department establishment and clinical blood transfusion management in Hangzhou,China.Methods Questionnaires were sent to 35 medical institutions to gather information regarding blood transfusion department establishment and clinical blood transfusion management in the provincial,municipal and county tier hospitals.The investigated criteria covered the establishment of the hospital blood transfusion management committee,the utilization of software and hardware of the transfusion department,the compatibility status of various software systems in use and performance evaluation of these systems in clinical applications,etc.In addition,tests were also conducted on members of the blood transfusion departments to confirm whether they are properly trained and present adequated knowledge of clinical blood applications Results were then collected for statistical and descriptive analyses.Results The results out of the 35 hospitals surveyed presented no obvious statistical significance.Nevertheless,the average score of these hospitals in different segments helped us to reach the following conclusions:1,Triple-A hospitals scored the highest average score for patient clinical status evaluation pre-transfusion;2.Double-B hospitals came first when it comes to patient clinical status evaluation post transfusion;3.Triple-B hospitals possessed the most thorough clinical records for transfusion treatment.A total of 350 papers were issued and 350 papers were collected,with 327 out of the 350 considered valid.As for the test results regarding the departments members,triple-A,triple-B and double-A hospitals scored significantly higher than double-B and unranked hospitals.(P＜0.05);.350 clinical transfusion records were also collected and 247 of which are considered valid.It appears there are numerous difference in Hb indexes among the tested hospitals and even the departments of internal medicine and surgical presented different takes on the subject as well.Conclusion The clinical blood transfusion management in Zhejiang province and the establishment of blood transfusion departments still need to be improved.A plan to manage clinical blood use need to be carried out ASAP,which would specify evaluation references,standardize personnel training and tech investments.Ultimately,we hope such actions would help to further regulate the clinical blood use in the region.

Objective To investigate the protective effect of Gabexate mesilate(GM)on D-galactosamine- lipopolysaccharide-indneed acute liver failure in rats.Methods The model of acute liver failure in rats was produced by injection of D-galactosamine(D-GalN)and lipopolysaccharide(LPS).The alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST)in serum and malondiadehyde(MDA)content,superoxide dismutase(SOD)and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-PX)activities in liver homogenate were assayed by spectrophotometry.The levels of turnout necrosis factor-?(TNF-?),interleukin-?(IL-?)and interleukin-6(IL-6)were determined by ELISA method.Hepatic pathological examination was observed.Results 25 mg?kg~(-1),50mg?kg~(1),100 mg?kg~(-1) of GM significantly decreased the serum transaminase activities,the infiltration of inflammatory cells,and MDA content,hut didn't reduce SOD and GSH- PX activities in liver homogenate.GM significantly reduced TNF-?,IL-1?and IL-6 levels in serum.Conclusions GM showed significant protective effects on acute liver failure in rats.
