Objective To investigate the indirect decompression effect of oblique lateral interbody fusion (OLIF) in the treatment of mild to moderate degenerative lumbar stenosis.Methods From October 2014 to November 2016,23 patients with mild to moderate lumbar spinal stenosis underwent OLIF combined with or without posterior pedicle screw fixation;9 males and 14 females with average age of 59.2±11.6 years old;8 cases at L3,4 segment and 15 cases at L4,5 segment.All cases were followed up for more than 6 months.Thin layer scanning of CT and two-dimensional reconstruction images were used to measure the vertical diameter and area of intervertebral foramen.Intervertebral disc height and spinal canal anteroposterior diameter were measured on median sagittal MRI sequence,and the anteroposterior diameter and the cross-sectional area of the spinal canal were measured on cross-sectional MRI sequence.The clinical effects were assessed by the visual analogue score (VAS) and the Oswestry disability index (ODI) for low back pain,lower limb pain and lower limb numbness.Results Compared with those measurements pre-operatively,the post-operative intervertebral disc height increased by 78.6％±13.4％.The post-operative left vertical diameter of intervertebral foramen increased by 36.7％±7.8％,and the post-operative left area of intervertebral foramen increased by 36.6％± 8.7％,and the post-operative right vertical diameter of intervertebral foramen increased by 40.7％±9.6％,and the post-operative right area of intervertebral foramen increased by 40.0％±8.9％.The post-operative anteroposterior diameter of sagittal spinal canal were increased 32.6％ ± 5.9％,and the post-operative anteroposterior diameter of cross-sectional spinal canal were increased 34.4％±6.8％,and the post-operative cross-sectional area of the spinal canal were increased 47.5％±7.2％.All of the differences were statistically significant between pre-operative and post-operative measurements.The VAS score for low back pain was 6.2± 1.7 pre-operatively,and 1.1±0.5 post-operatively.The ODI for low back pain was 81.2％± 18.2％ pre-operatively,and 6.1％±2.0％ post-operatively.The VAS score for lower limb pain was 5.6±1.4 pre-operatively,and 0.8±0.3 post-operatively.And the VAS score for lower limb numbness was 6.6±2.0 pre-operatively,and 3.4± 1.2 post-operatively.All of the differences were statistically significant between pre-operative and post-operative evaluations.Conclusion There were obvious radiological evidences and remarkable clinical effect of indirect decompression using OLIF technique in treatment of mild to moderate lumbar spinal stenosis at early post-operative stage.However further long-term follow-up studies with multicenter large sample were still needed.

Objective To explore the application of nanodisc in functional and drug discovery research of G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR).Methods The purified recombinant 5-Hydroxytryptamine 2B receptor (5-HT2BR) was reconstituted into nanodisc complex.Sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and size exclution chromatography were performed to evaluate the reconstitution reaction,followed by the use of surface plasmon resonance to validate the ligand-binding activity of 5-HT2BR after reconstitution.Results 5-HT2B R was effectively self-assembled into nanodisc while maintained its binding activity toward the antagonist SB204741.Conclusions The presented study provided potential application of 5-HT2B R-nanodisc for the development of subtype-selective drugs against 5-HT2B R and the fundamental of utilizing nanodisc for GPCR structural and functional studies as well as drug discovery.

Objective:To study the clinical features of neonatal hyperthyroidism.Methods:From September 2013 to September 2020, clinical data of neonates with hyperthyroidism admitted to the neonatal intense care unit of our hospital were retrospectively collected and analyzed.Results:A total of 7 neonates were included. The average gestation age was (35.8±2.3) weeks with 5 cases had GA<37 weeks. The median age of diagnostic was 16 d (7~18 d). The common clinical manifestations included tachycardia, irritability, low-grade fever, hyperhidrosis, bulimia, poor weight gain, diarrhea and jaundice. The levels of serum free triiodothyronine (FT 3) and thyroxine (FT 4) were elevated in all 7 cases and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) were decreased. The Doppler ultrasound of thyroid gland in two neonates revealed enlarged thyroid gland with abundant blood flow. All 7 mothers had hyperthyroidism with 4 mothers provided the history of hyperthyroidism and the other 3 were also confirmed after their infants were diagnosed. All 7 infants were treated with anti-thyroid drugs (ATD) and 2 were additionally given β-blockers to control heart rate. The median ATD duration was 40 d (7~58 d). 2 cases (both preterm infants) had slight decrease in FT 4 during medication. FT 4 of all 7 cases returned to normal before TSH. Conclusions:Neonatal hyperthyroidism has various and nonspecific clinical manifestations. Early diagnosis and timely treatment are important to prevent short-term and long-term adverse outcomes. Whether their mothers provide definite history of thyroid disorder or not, the thyroid function of the suspected neonates should be carefully monitored.

Among the 2 141 study participants, a total of 38.21% (818) of women of childbearing age were aware of rubella and 21.25% (455) of women of childbearing age knew about RCV. Among the 455 women of childbearing age who were aware of RCV, 262 (57.58%) were willing to be vaccinated with RCV; 304 women of childbearing age (66.81%) tended to be vaccinated with RCV free of charge. Objective:To investigate the effects of hydroxysafflor yellow A (HSYA) on depressive-like behavior and expression of type A γ-aminobutyric acid receptor(GABAAR)in hippocampus of chronic restraint stress model mice.Methods:The SPF grade male C57BL/6C mice were divided into Control group, HSYA group, Model group, Model + HSYA group and Model + fluoxetine group according to random number table method, with 12 mice in each group.Mice model of depression was established by chronic restraint stress.Mice in HSYA group and Model+ HSYA group were intraperitoneally injected with HSYA(20 mg/kg), mice in Model+ fluoxetine group were injected intraperitoneally with fluoxetine (10 mg/kg), and mice in Control group and Model group administered with 0.9% sodium chloride solution intraperitoneally once a day for 14 days.Then, the forced swimming test (FST) and tail suspension test (TST) were performed to evaluate the depressive-like behavior of mice, and the protein expression levels of different subtypes of GABAAR in the hippocampus of mice were determined by Western blot.SPSS 19.0 and GraphPad Prism 8.0 software were used for data statistical analysis and mapping.One-way ANOVA was used for comparison among groups, and Tukey-HSD test was used for further pairwise comparison.Results:(1) In the behavioral tests, there were significant differences in swimming immobility time of FST and tail suspension immobility time of TST among the five groups ( F=21.59, 20.81, both P<0.05). The swimming immobility time ((143.91±9.97) s) and tail suspension immobility time (( 107.00±6.54) s) in Model group were higher than those in Control group ((52.92±6.70) s, ( 43.50±5.96) s, both P<0.05). There were no significant difference in swimming immobility time and tail suspension immobility time between Model+ HSYA group ((26.17±7.69)s, ( 20.17±7.89)s) and Model+ fluoxetine group ((61.60±16.22)s, (34.14±10.74)s)(both P>0.05), but the swimming immobility time and tail suspension immobility time in these two groups were lower than those in Model group (both P<0.05). (2) The Western blot results showed that there were significant differences in the expression of GABAARβ1 and GABAARβ2 protein in hippocampus among the four groups ( F=12.21, 11.40, both P<0.05). The expression levels of GABAARβ1(45.60±10.76) and GABAARβ2 (46.27±4.82) protein in hippocampus of Model group were lower than those in Control group ((100.00±3.44), (100.00±3.26), both P<0.05). Compared to Model group, the expression of GABAARβ1 (79.91±5.00) and GABAARβ2 (79.08±5.53) protein in hippocampus of Model+ HSYA group were higher (both P<0.05). In addition, the expression of GABAARα1 and GABAARγ1 proteins in hippocampus were not significantly different among the four groups( F=0.23, 0.10, both P>0.05). Conclusion:HSYA can effectively alleviate depressive-like behavior in depression model mice, which may be related with the upregulation of GABAARβ1 and GABAARβ2 of hippocampus tissue.

OBJECTIVE To provide reference for constructing scientific and reasonable pharmaceutical service mode for hospitalized patients with chronic airway diseases. METHODS From October 2023 to March 2024， 250 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and acute exacerbation of asthma who were hospitalized in the respiratory department of Hebei General Hospital and received pharmaceutical care （PC） were randomly divided into control group （125 cases） and observation group （125 cases）. The control group received general pharmaceutical services throughout their hospitalization， while the observation group received standardized and graded pharmaceutical services throughout their hospitalization. The differences in clinical value indicators， humanistic value indicators， and quality management indicators were compared among different PC service models. RESULTS Among clinical value evaluation indicators， the observation group had better achievement rate of disease treatment goals， correct use score of inhalation devices， the incidence of adverse drug reactions， and the number of drug-related problems solved than the control group （P＜0.05）. Among the humanistic evaluation indicators， compared with the control group， the observation group had better medication compliance scores， pharmacist intervention success rates， and patient satisfaction scores （P＜0.05）. Among quality management evaluation indicators， the proportion of drug costs， the proportion of intravenous medication， the use rate of antibiotics， the intensity of antibiotic use， and the number of pharmaceutical services in the observation group were significantly better than the control group （P＜0.05）. CONCLUSIONS Standardized and graded pharmaceutical care services have improved the efficiency of pharmacists and service effectiveness， making it a new pharmaceutical service model worth promoting.

OBJECTIVE To systematically evaluate the effectiveness of different treatment regimens as first-line treatment for metastatic urothelial carcinoma （UC） using a network meta-analysis （NMA） approach. METHODS Electronic databases including PubMed， the Cochrane Library， Embase， Wanfang Data， CNKI， and VIP were searched for randomized controlled clinical trials （RCTs） on first-line treatment for metastatic UC from January 1， 2010 to January 31， 2024. After literature screening and data extraction， a risk of bias assessment of included studies was conducted. R software （version 4.3.2） was used to perform the NMA. RESULTS A total of 11 RCTs involving 14 treatment interventions were included. No significant differences were noted in objective response rate among groups， with the combination of pembrolizumab， gemcitabine and cisplatin having the highest probability of ranking first. Regarding progression-free survival （PFS） and overall survival （OS）， no significant differences were observed among groups， while enfortumab vedotin combined with pembrolizumab showed a trend towards better PFS extension compared to gemcitabine combined with cisplatin [HR＝0.45， 95%CI（0.20，1.06）， P＝0.049]， and it had the highest probability of ranking first in both PFS and OS. CONCLUSIONS The combination of enfortumab vedotin and pembrolizumab may have an advantage in prolonging survival in the first-line treatments for metastatic UC.
