Gastric cancer is one of the most common types of cancer worldwide. In China, approximately 42%of new cancer cas-es are documented. However, the prognosis of advanced gastric cancer remains poor because of high recurrence and metastatic rates. In gastric cancer patients with peritoneal metastasis, malignant bowel obstruction (MBO) is often detected. Many of these patients endure excruciating pain because of ineffective diagnosis and treatment. In recent years, the symptoms of many patients with MBO have been effectively relieved after somatostatin and other drugs have been administered. Other patients with MBO have been provided the chance to undergo chemotherapy, and their survival time has been prolonged. Hence, the diagnosis and treatment of these patients could be im-proved by further advancements in basic and clinical research in cancer therapy.

Objective To analyze the correlation between critical thinking ability and self- efficacy for nursing students in university of traditional Chinese medicine, so as to provide references and evidences for nursing quality teaching. Methods A total of 291 nursing students in university of traditional Chinese medicine were investigated with Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory- Chinese Version (CTDI- CV) and General Self- Efficacy Scale (GSES). Results The total scores of critical thinking ability and self- efficacy were (288.24±32.95) and (25.44±5.74). There were consistence between critical thinking ability and self- efficacy (r=0.348, P<0.01). Regression analysis revealed that self- efficacy and interpersonal relations were predictors of critical thinking ability. Conclusions There were consistence between critical thinking ability and self- efficacy. Self- efficacy and interpersonal relations were predictors of critical thinking ability. It is suggested to promote critical thinking ability by enhancing self- efficacy and interpersonal relations, which contributes to improvement of comprehensive quality.

BACKGROUND:Numerous diseases like cardiac hypertrophy and intervertebral disc degeneration are known to be implicated in the changes of mechanical stress acting on surrounding tissues or cells, and autophagy contributes to the pathogenesis of these diseases. OBJECTIVE:To review the effects of mechanical factors on autophagy in different tissues and the underlying molecular mechanisms, thereby providing references for the research of autophagy and the prevention and treatment of related diseases. METHODS:A search of Web of Science and PubMed databases was performed for the literatures addressing the effects of mechanical factors on autophagy using the English keywords ofautophagy, mechanicaland the articles were summarized systematically. Finally, 52 literatures were enrolled according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Mechanical factors make great effects on autophagy of various cells, such as myocardial cells, endothelial cells, chondrocytes and skeletal muscle cells. Autophagy is a self-protective reaction, and the mechanical stress of physiological conditions induces autophagy to maintain cellhomeostasis, normal function and survival. The mechanism of autophagy induced by mechanical stress may involve PI3K-AKT-mTOR, oxygen free radical, AKT-FoxO and other pathways, and the definite mechanism needs to be further studied.

Objective:To explore the effect of self-designed fixed support in the postoperative nursing of abdominal flap repair. Methods:From January 2016 to December 2019, 47 patients with hand tissue defects undergoing abdominal skin flap repair in Shajing People′s Hospital, Guangzhou Medical University were divided into control group (23 cases) and observation group (24 cases) by random digits table method. The control group was treated with traditional methods, and the observation group was treated with self-designed fixed support. The wound healing of abdominal flap, the wound tearing after flap operation, pedicle ulcer after flap operation and the patients' nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:There were 7 cases of primary healing and 16 cases of secondary healing in the control group, 18 cases of primary healing and 6 cases of secondary healing in the observation group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( χ2 value was 9.368, P<0.01). The incidence rate of the wound tearing after flap operation was 26.1% (6/23) in the control group and 0 (0/24) in the observation group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( χ2 value was 7.177, P<0.05). The incidence rate of pedicle ulcer after flap operation was 69.6% (16/23) in the control group and 33.3% (6/23) in the observation group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( χ2 value was 6.170, P<0.05). The patients' nursing satisfaction was (76.8±8.4)points in the control group and (90.4±6.5) points in the observation group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (t value was -4.640, P<0.01). Conclusions:The use of fixed support after the operation of abdominal flap is helpful to the wound healing, reduce the occurrence of wound tear and pedicle ulcer, and improve the satisfaction of nursing, which is worth popularizing.

Objective To clone and identify the heat shock factors(HSFs)of Schistosoma japonicum and analyze its molec?ular structure and alternative splicing pattern. Methods The New Zealand rabbits were infected with the cercariae of Schistoso?ma japonicum and were killed and dissected 42 days post?infection, and the adult worms of S. japonicum and the livers of the rabbits were harvested. Then, the total RNA was extracted by using Trizol reagent. The Sj?hsf open reading frame(ORF)and the alternative splicing fragments were amplified by RT?PCR from the female, male and egg samples, then cloned and verified by enzyme digestion and sequencing. DNAMAN 8.0,InterPro,Mega 6 combined with the Internet databases were utilized to clarify the gene structure, functional domains, alternative splicing pattern, and the homology and phylogenetic tree of HSFs. Re?sults Sj?hsf ORF and the alternative splicing fragments were amplified from the female, male and egg samples of S. japonicum by RT?PCR. After cloning, the positive recombinant plasmids pBSjHSFf?F,pBSjHSFf?M,pBSjHSFf?E containing Sj?hsf ORF, pBSjHSFs?F,pBSjHSFs?M,pBSjHSFs?E with Sj?hsf alternative splicing fragments were identified by enzyme digestion and se?quencing. Three alternative splicing Sj?hsf isoforms were observed through sequence analysis:Sj?hsf?isoform1(2 050 bp),Sj?hsf ?isoform2(2 086 bp)and Sj?hsf?isoform3(2 111 bp);the GenBank accession numbers were KU954546,KX119143 and KX119144,respectively. All the three isoforms located in the same Contig SJC_S000780 of S. japonicum genome and all ex?pressed at female, male and egg stages, but Sj?hsf?isoform1 with a high?level expression. Sj?HSF?isoform1(671 aa)and Sj?HSF?isoform2(683 aa)had DBD(DNA binding domain),HR?A/B and HR?C domains, while Sj?HSF?isoform3(282 aa)stopped in advance without HR?C domain. Phylogenetic tree analysis of HSFs illustrated that Sj?HSFs belonged to HSF1 family, with a close phylogenetic relationship to Sm?HSFs. Conclusions There are three alternative splicing isoforms of Sj?HSF existing in the female, male and egg stages of S. japonicum, but Sj?HSF?isoform1 expresses in a high?level. This study lays the foundation for further study on molecular mechanisms of Sj?HSFs in regulating the heat shock response system.
