1.Simultaneous Content Determination of Quercetin and Kaempferol in Penthorum Chinense Pursh by HPLC
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2016;23(3):77-79
Objective To establish an HPLC method for the simultaneous content determination of quercetin and kaempferol in Penthorum Chinense Pursh. Methods The HPLC analysis was carried out on Kromasil C18 (250 mm× 4.0 mm, 5.0 μm) with a mixture of methanol-0.1% phosphate (50:50) as the mobile phase. The determination wavelength was set at 360 nm with the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The column temperature was set at room temperature. Results The quercetin and kaempferol showed good linearity in the range of 0.105 6–2.112 0 μg and 0.023 6–0.472 μg respectively. The average recovery rates of quercetin and kaempferol were 98.46% (RSD=2.29%) and 98.17%(RSD=1.99%) respectively. Conclusion The method is accurate and sensitive, which can be used for the content determination of quercetin and kaempferol in Penthorum Chinense Pursh.

Objective To explore the classification of ultrasound images of hepatic parenchyma of schistosomiasis japonica. Methods A total of 2 918 hepatic photographs were selected and classified . All the photographs came from the former research project, which had B ultrasonography examination for residents from three medium endemic villages adjacent to the Dongting Lake, such as Huarong, Hanshou, Lixian, and for advanced schistosomiasis patients in Xiangyue hospital. Results For these hepatic parenchyma images there were five types, including normal echogenic dots (91 photographs), widened echogenic dots (1 757 photographs), echogenic paths(121 photographs), e-chogenic strips (467 photographs) and echogenic bands (482 photographs), etc. , and eight patterns, including nomal echogenic dots (91 photographs), widened echogenic dots (1 757 photographs), echogenic slices (59 photographs), echogenic patches (62 photographs), fine strips (323 photographs), coarse strips (144 photographs), narrow reticular(280 photographs) and wide reticular (202 photographs). Conclusion B ultrasonic images of the liver of schistosomiasis japonica can be classified into five types and eight patterns.

OBJECTIVE: To provide reference for the improvement of management quality of high-alert medications in ward area. METHODS: Risk management was used to estimate risk factor of commonly used high-alert medications in ward area. Then the homologous management measures were formulated based on potential risk. RESULTS: With enforcement of risk management, risk awareness of relevant responsible person was strengthened. They knew more knowledge about high-alert medications and its rate increased from 60% to 96%. The phenomena such as nonstandard storage and placement of drugs, unclear identification had never happened again. CONCLUSION: The application of risk management in high-alert medications contributes to improve anti-distress awareness of relevant responsible person, guarantee safety of drug use and enhance the quality of care.

Objective:To explore the intervention effect of different modes of ankle pump exercise on femoral vein peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) catheter-related thrombosis in patients with lung cancer. Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, 96 cases of lung cancer patients with femoral vein PICC catheterization admitted to Xiangya Hospital of Central South University from January 2019 to October 2020 were set as the control group and 97 cases of lung cancer patients with femoral vein PICC cannula from October 2020 to October 2021 were set as the observation group. They adopted the comfort angle ankle pump exercise and the maximum angle ankle pump exercise mode, respectively. The differences in the incidence of catheter-related thrombosis, the incidence of unplanned extubation, fatigue score and catheter indwelling time were compared between the two groups. Results:The incidence of catheter-related thrombosis and unplanned extubation in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . The fatigue score and catheter indwelling time of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The maximum angle ankle pump motion mode can reduce the incidence of catheter-related thrombosis and unplanned extubation of femoral vein PICC catheterization in patients with lung cancer and improve the catheter indwelling time, but it is easy to cause patient fatigue, so clinical promotion and use should consider the patients' tolerance.

Objective:The incidence of occupational burnout among emergency department healthcare workers is high, and their occupational health deserves attention.Establishing a comprehensive occupational health system in medical institutions is crucial. This study aims to understand the current status of occupational burnout among emergency department healthcare workers, analyze its influencing factors, and provide references for preventing burnout in this population. Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted using convenience sampling through the Questionnaire Star platform from December 2022 to January 2023 among emergency department healthcare workers. The Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey(MBI-GS)scale was used to assess the level of occupational burnout, and univariate analysis and binary Logistic regression analysis were employed to explore the influencing factors of burnout. Results:A total of 1 173 valid questionnaires were collected, with 946(80.65%)respondents experiencing occupational burnout. The proportions of mild-to-moderate and severe burnout were 73.57%and 7.08%,respectively.The scores for the three dimensions of burnout among emergency department healthcare workers were as follows:emotional exhaustion(EE)2.33±0.31;depersonalization(DP)1.88±0.28;low personal accomplishment(LPA)3.20±0.39.The overall score was 2.46±0.22.Factors associated with occupational burnout included being an only child(OR=1.362,95%CI-0.707 to-0.058),the average number of night shifts per month(OR=1.167,95%CI 0.091 to 0.272),and personal experience of workplace violence(OR=1.094,95%CI 0.027 to 0.195)(all P<0.05). Conclusion:The incidence of occupational burnout is high among emergency department healthcare workers.Effective measures should be taken by management to promptly intervene, reduce burnout, and ensure the smooth functioning of emergency medical services.
