1.Cultivation of Medical Students′Responsibility for Life
Chinese Medical Ethics 2015;(4):529-532
This paper describes the present situation for the lack of sense of life responsibility from health con-sciousness and life responsibilities, and from the school education, social environment, family influence and its own factors four aspects analyze the medical students lack of sense of responsibility at the root of life, and then on this basis put forward the corresponding countermeasures:schools should innovation course, pay attention to the clinical practice, to strengthen the construction of teachers′quality education, deepen the life value;the government should strengthen the administrative intervention; the network, the media should give full play to the guiding function;play a role of family environment influence and change the concept of family education;improve the ability of self-awareness and self-monitoring of frustration education and emotional education.

Objective To approach the clinical features of batched severe burn accompanied by blast injury in lungs, and to sum up both experiences and lessons drawn from the treatment on those cases. Methods 16 cases of severe burn accompanied by blast injury in lungs were inductively analyzed on their clinical features and the experiences and lessons drawn from the treatment were summed up. Results 14 cases got full recovery, and the 2 remainders died of multiple organ failure. Conclusion An overall treatment plan, evacuation in time and individual therapy are necessary for the batched treatment of severe burn accompanied by blast injury in lungs, and an integrated therapy may get a satisfied result.

Objective:
To investigate the effects of compound Haishe capsule combined with rivastigmine capsule on serum thyroid hormone, inflammatory factors and coagulation function in patients with Alzheimer's disease(AD).
Methods:
From January 2016 to January 2018, 74 patients with AD in the Seventh People's Hospital of Hangzhou were randomly divided into control group and observation group according to the digital table, with 37 cases in each group. The control group was treated with rivastigmine capsule, while the observation group was treated with compound Haishe capsule on the basis of the control group. The two groups were treated for 6 months. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. The changes of BEHAVE-AD and ADAS-Cog scores, thyroid hormones, inflammatory factors and coagulation function were compared before and after treatment.
Results:
The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.59%(35/37), which was higher than 72.97%(27/37) of the control group(

Purpose:
The present study investigated the association between Systematic COronary Risk Evaluation (SCORE)-estimated cardiovascular risk and carotid stiffening in a middle-aged population using ultrafast pulse wave velocity (ufPWV).
Methods:
This study enrolled 683 participants without known cardiovascular disease or diabetes mellitus who underwent ufPWV measurements. Clinical interviews, physical examinations, laboratory findings, carotid intima-media thickness (cIMT), pulse wave velocity (PWV) at the beginning of systole (PWV-BS), and PWV at the end of systole (PWV-ES) were assessed. Each participant underwent an assessment of SCORE risk based on major cardiovascular risk factors (CVRFs), including age, sex, smoking, systolic blood pressure (SBP), and total cholesterol (TC). Crude and adjusted odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals and ordinal logistic regression were used. Overall CVRFs were adjusted to assess ORs.
Results:
cIMT and carotid stiffening in PWV-BS and PWV-ES were significantly different between sex subgroups (all P<0.05), but only PWV-ES increased gradually in age and SCORE-estimated risk subgroups (all P<0.05). Compared with cIMT (r=0.388, P<0.001) and PWV-BS (r=0.159, P<0.001), PWV-ES was more strongly correlated with SCORE categories (r=0.405, P<0.001). Higher PWV-ES values were associated with SCORE categories independently of sex, SBP, TC, and smoking in moderate-risk and high-risk subgroups (OR, 1.63; P<0.001 and OR, 2.12; P=0.024, respectively), but were not independent of age in all risk subgroups (all P>0.05).
Conclusion
Carotid stiffening quantified by ufPWV is linked to SCORE categories, and elevated PWV-ES may aid in cardiovascular risk stratification.

Objectives:To explore the effect and possible mechanisms of mild hypothermia on interferon(IFN)-α2b-induced AC16 cardiomyocytes apoptosis. Methods:Cardiomyocytes were stimulated in ordinary temperature and mild hypothermia by IFN-α2b under different concentrations for different times.Proliferation activity of cardiomyocytes was detected by CCK-8 assay.Apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry technique. The effects of different interventions on mitochondrial morphology were examined using Mito-Tracker Green and laser scanning confocal microscope, respectively. The mitochondrial membrane potentials under different intervention conditions were detected by flow cytometry. The fusion of dynamin-related protein 1(Drp1)and mitochondria, and the effects of different interventions on the mitochondria was examined by Drp1 or mitochondrial fluorescent probes and laser scanning confocal microscope. The effects of different intervention conditions on the protein expression level of Phospho-Drp1(p-Drp1)Ser616,Drp1,cleaved poly ADP-ribose polymerase1(cleaved-PARP1),poly ADP-ribose polymerase1(PARP1)were detected by Western blot. Results:CCK-8 assay and flow cytometry results showed that IFN-α2b inhibited the proliferation and enhanced the apoptosis of AC16 cardiomyocytes in a time and dose-dependent manner, these effects could be attenuated by mild hypothermia.Mito-Tracker Green, laser scanning confocal microscope and flow cytometry results showed that the extent of damage of mitochondria with different interventions were attenuated in the setting of mild hypothermia as compared with ordinary temperature. The morphology of mitochondria remained intact and the mitochondrial membrane potentials were the highest in mild hypothermia group.Injured AC16 cardiomyocytes released Drp1 from cytoplasm to mitochondria and increased mitochondrial fission, these effects were abolished after mild hypothermia.p-Drp1 Ser616/Drp1 ratio and cleaved-PARP1/PARP1 ratio were decreased after mild hypothermia, and above effects could be reversed by mitochondrial division inhibitor-1(Mdivi-1)pretreatment. Conclusions:Mild hypothermia inhibits IFN-α2b-induced AC16 cardiomyocytes apoptosis via improving mitochondrial function.

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity" (WHO, 2017), and mental health is defined as not only the absence of mental illness, but also the presence of psychological well-being. An expanding body of evidence highlights the relationship between nature (such as urban greenspace) and health (Li et al., 2019; Flaxman et al., 2020). However, human development and subsequent effects such as climate change and epidemic disease (COVID-19) lead to altered living environments and lifestyles. Expanding cities and urban residents have inequitable access to nature, particularly in areas of greater depriv‑ation, where both public and private greenspaces are less available (Feng et al., 2021). In addition, young people spend more than 80% of their time indoors due to constant use of electronic devices for work, study, and entertainment (Klepeis et al., 2001). Mobile phones, personal computers, and video-game devices have become the main means for them to release stress. Excessive use of these electronic devices may affect normal brain activity, increasing the risk of Internet addiction and producing a range of physical and mental problems (Tran et al., 2017). These signal the pressing need for scientific investigation of efficient and convenient ways to increase contact with nature, or alternatively, to better regulate emotions indoors.
