Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2020;36(24):1846-1851
Objective:To study the practice of multicultural nursing teaching, explore the teaching reform of multicultural nursing, and provide the basis for the development of multicultural nursing teaching reform. Methods:Totally 50 college nursing students were selected as the research objects, and the multicultural nursing teaching mode was implemented for the research objects. The questionnaire was used to analyze and compare the mastery and cross-cultural sensitivity of nursing students before and after the intervention, and to analyze the learning effect before and after the implementation of the teaching mode. Results:After the implementation of multicultural nursing knowledge of nursing students increased from (93.38 ± 9.75) points to (116.32 ± 10.13) points, and the total score of cross-cultural sensitivity increased from (76.56 ± 8.15) points to (88.43 ± 7.62) points. The difference was statistically significant ( t values were 9.28, 8.65, P < 0.01). Conclusion:The multi-cultural nursing teaching mode greatly improves the cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability of multi-cultural nursing of nursing students, achieves significant teaching effect, and has high practical and promotion value.

Objective:To explore the application effect of Assessmen-Diagnosis-Plan-Implementation-Evaluation(ADPIE) teaching model based on skill competition in the teaching of "basic nursing" skills in higher vocational colleges. Methods:This was a quasi experimental study. Convenience sampling method was adopted to select students from two classes of 2021 vocational nursing major of Pingxiang Health Vocational College from February to July 2022 as the research objects, among which 53 nursing students from Class 9 were selected as the experimental group and 55 nursing students from Class 13 were selected as the control group. The experimental group was taught based on the ADPIE teaching mode of skill competition. The control group was taught according to the conventional teaching mode, and the academic record and humanistic care ability of the nursing students in the two groups were compared. Results:The three dimensions of humanistic care ability in experimental group were cognition (70.82 ± 9.20) points, courage (59.58 ± 6.04) points, patience (57.17 ± 5.26) points, total score (187.57 ± 20.50) points. They were higher than those in the control group, which were (67.40 ± 8.83), (55.98 ± 9.03), (54.37 ± 5.96) and (177.75 ± 20.82) points, and there were statistical differences between the groups (t values were 2.61 to 3.42, all P<0.05). In addition, the three dimensions of academic performance: ordinary score (6.10 ± 1.22)points, course score (57.10 ± 6.27) points, objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) score (27.09 ± 2.13)points, total score (90.29 ± 9.69) points, they were also higher than those of the control group (5.06 ± 1.33), (52.73 ± 5.44), (25.35 ± 3.29), and (83.14 ± 10.06), and the differences between groups were statistically significant ( t values were 2.52-3.34, All P<0.05). Conclusions:ADPIE teaching model based on skills competition can improve the course scores and humanistic care ability of nursing students, and the teaching effect is significant.

Objective To investigate the status of self-management in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) in Zhejiang province, and to explore the relationship between the self-management level and medical coping styles. Methods From March to September 2016, using the convenient sampling method, a total of 450 aged patients with chronic heart failure from 5 Class Ⅲ Grade A hospitals in 3 districts including Ningbo, Pinghu and Jiaxing of Zhejiang province, who were hospitalized in the Cardiovascular Department, were recruited as research subjects. The Self-Management Scale of Heart Failure Patients and Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire (MCMQ) were applied in the investigation to carry out the correlation analysis. Results A total of 450 questionnaires were distributed, and 437 valid questionnaires were collected. The Self-Management Scale of Heart Failure Patients in the 437 patients were (51.48±10.77) in total score, (18.90±3.10) in facing coping style, (16.12±2.18) in avoiding coping style and (11.85±1.82) in yielding coping style. Pearson correlation analysis showed that the total score of self-management was positively correlated with facing coping style (r=0.303, P<0.01), negatively correlated with yielding (r=-0.157, P<0.01), and positively correlated with avoiding coping style (r=0.117, P<0.01). Multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that family monthly income, self-care ability and marriage were the main factors affecting self-management of patients with chronic heart failure. Conclusions Self-management level in patients with chronic heart failure in Zhejiang province is relatively low, and effected by family income, self-care ability, marriage and other factors. Nursing staff should understand different characteristics of different patients to provide personalized health education, improve their self management level, and promote the patients more actively face the disease, reduce and avoid negative medical coping.
