Objective To evaluate the safety of coronary artery bypass grafting(CABG) on patients with end-stage hemodialysis-dependent renal failure.Method Two patients with hemodialysis who received CABG were reported.The features of clinical manifestation were studied.Results CHDF was preformed in two cases after operation.One patient died of hemorrhage on the third day after operation,the other patient showed relief of recurrent chest pain and improved quality of life after CABG.Conclusion Under a well-prepared dialysis program and meticulous perioperative management,CABG can be performed in dialysis-dependent patients,with increased but acceptable perioperative morbidity and mortality risks.Our initial experiences of CHDF during and after CABG suggest that the technique provides excellent electrolyte,metabolite and fluid management for the cardiac patients with chronic renal failure.

Objective To diagnose the infection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa early. Methods Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to amplify the fragment of Pseudomonas aeruginosa OprI gene. The fragment was determined by HaeⅢ and PvuⅡ digestion, and sequencing analyses. Results It showed that 96 of 223 specimens were cultured to be positive with Pseudomonas aeruginosa, 96 of which had expectant streaks. Otherwise the other specimens had no positive streaks. The procedure needed only 4 hours. The PCR products were determined by ribonuclease HaeⅢ and PvuⅡ , and resulted in two small fragments with 49bp and 112bp separately. By automatic sequencing analysis, the coincidence rate with the gene bank was 100%. Conclusions The results indicates that the OprI gene detection by PCR is a specific, sensitive and quick technique for the diagnosis of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the protective effects of oral administration of D-methionine tablets on noise-induced hearing impairment. METHOD: Two hundred and three volunteers were recruited and randomly divided into two groups: experimental group (n= 113) and control group (n=90). The subjects received oral administration of D-methionine tablets in the experimental group and placebo in the control group before noise exposure. Routine audiometric evaluation and ABR testing were performed and recorded before and after noise exposure. The statistical analysis was carried out with SPSS 11.0. RESULT: There were no differences in auditory threshold and I-V interpeak latency pre-noise exposure (P>0.05), however, there were statistically significant differences between two groups 1 d, 7 d after noise exposure (P<0.01 and P<0.05). In-respective-group, there were statistically significant differences between before and 1 d after noise exposure (P<0.05 and P<0.01), however, no difference was noted between before and 7 d after noise exposure in the experimental group (P>0.05). CONCLUSION The protective effects of D-methionine tablets were prominent on the noise-induced hearing impairment. Further studies regarding the optimal time of D-methionine administration will be recommended in the future.

Background Researches determined that the pathogenesis of retinal vein occlusion (RVO) is associated with primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) in Caucasian population.However,the relationship between RVO and POAG in Asian population is unclear.Objective This study was to survey the percentage of POAG in RVO patients in China.Methods A prospective cross-sectional observational study based on hospital was performed.Three hundred and seventy five patients with newly diagnosed RVO by fluorescein fundus angiography (FFA) were consecutively enrolled in Peking University Third Hospital from October 2011 to May 2013,and gonioscopy was carried out in all the patients.Glaucoma was diagnosed according to the criteria of the International Society of Geographical and Epidemiological Ophthalmology (ISGEO).RVO was classified into central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO),hemicentral retinal vein occlusion (HRVO) and branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO) based on fundus photograph and FFA,or classified into arteriovenous crossing RVO (AV-RVO),optic cup RVO (OC-RVO),optic nerve RVO without optical nerve head swelling (NONHS-RVO) and RVO with optical nerve head swelling (ONHS-RVO) based on the sites of venous occlusion.The percentages of POAG in different types of RVO were calculated.This study was approved by Ethic Committee of Peking University Third Hospital,and written informed consent was obtained from each patient before entering study cohort.Results Three hundred and seventeen RVO patients finished screening of glaucoma,with the response rate 84.5％.The percentage of POAG is 8.2％ in RVO patients,including 7.1％ in the CRVO patients,23.5％ in HRVO patients and 6.2％ in BRVO patients.The percentage of POAG was significantly higher in OC-RVO patients (27.9％) and NONHS-RVO patients (13.2％) than that in AV-RVO patients (4.7％) and ONHS-RVO patients (1.3％) (all at P＜0.05).Conclusions The overall percentage of POAG in RVO patients in China is 3-4 times higher than general population.Higher percentage of POAG is found in OC-RVO patients and NONHS-RVO patients,suggesting that pathogenesis of RVO is probably associated with the glaucomatous anatomic changes of optical nerve head.

Objective To construct a home-care service package for the urban disabled elderly that satisfy their demands and improve the efficiency of service. Methods From August to October, 2014, a total of 285 disabled (mild, medium and severe) elderly from a cluster sampling were investigated with the self-designed questionnaire about home-care demands among them. An initiatory service package was drawn to meet the demands reported by 40% of them or above. The package was consulted by a group of 15 experts using Delphi method. Results The final service package included 11, 19, 20 items of care for the mild, medium and severe disabled elderly, respectively. Conclu-sion The disabled elderly home-care package in Zhengzhou has been created based on the demands among disabled elderly.

Objective To investigate the effect of sufentanil postconditioning on cardiomyocyte apoptosis during myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) in rats.Methods Thirty-six male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 250-280 g were randomly divided into 3 groups ( n =12 each):sham operation group (group S),I/R group and sufentanil postconditioning group (group SP).Myocardial I/R was induced by occlusion of the left coronary artery for 30 min followed by 120 min reperfusion.Sufentanil 3.0μg/kg was injected iv at the beginning of reperfusion in group SP.HR and MAP were recorded during I/R.The rats were sacrificed at 120 min of reperfusion and their hearts were removed for determination of infarct size,number of apoptotic cardiomyocytes,and the expression of Bax mRNA and Bcl-2 mRNA,and apoptotic index was caculated.Results There was no significant difference in HR among the 3 groups ( P ＞ 0.05 ).Compared with group S,MAP and Bcl-2 mRNA expression were significantly decreased,apoptotic index and Bax mRNA expression increased in group I/R,and apoptotic index,and the expression of Bax mRNA and Bcl-2 mRNA were increased in group SP (P ＜ 0.05).Compared with group I/R,the infarct size,apoptotic index and Bax mRNA expression were decreased,and Bcl-2 mRNA expression was increased in group SP (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Sufentanil postconditioning can attenuate myocardial I/R injury in rats by up-regulating Bcl-2 expression,down-regulating Bax expression and inhibitting cardiomyocyte apoptosis.

Objective:To study the wound healing effects of the extracts of Shengji Huayu Fang with different solvents and demon-strate their important role in wound healing for deep second degree burn wound. Methods:Sixty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly di-vidied into six groups(ten rats in each group): the control group (saline), the positive control group (asiaticoside group), Shengji Huayu Fang group respectively with petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate and n-butanol as the extraction solvent. The extracts of Shengji Huayu Fang with different solvents were applied in the rats with deep second degree burn wound, and the wound healing was e-valuated by the healing rate judged by naked eyes and computer image analysis, DNA cell cycle analysis using a flow cytometry, patho-logical reports and the degree of re-epithelialization studied by the other methods. Results:The mean healing time of the chloroform ex-tracts group [(15. 67 ± 1. 12)d] was much shorter than that of the control group [(22. 87 ± 1. 01)d, P<0. 01]. The hydroxyproline content and the percentage of S-phase cells in wound tissue in the chloroform extracts group was obviously higher than those in the con-trol group (P<0. 01). Conclusion:The present study indicates that topical application of chloroform extracts of Shengji Huayu Fang is beneficial to burn wound healing, and the chloroform extracts of Shengji Huayu Fang is the main bioactive fraction.

Objective To evaluate the performance of BC‐5000 five categories hematology analyzer (BC‐5000) .Methods The background and blank values ,carryover rate ,precision ,accuracy ,trueness ,and linear range were evaluated ,as well as the compara‐bility of its results with reference instrument (XE‐2100) detection and artificial classification of leukocytes .Results The back‐ground and blank values were both qualified .The carryover rates of all the detection items were less than 1% .The intra‐and inter‐precision of all the detection items were good ,and the accuracy and trueness were verified eligibility .The linearity of WBC ,RBC , HGB ,and PLT were good (r>0 .990) .Comparing with XE‐2100 and artificial classification ,Bas% was the only one item with poor correlation coefficient (r=0 .744 ,P>0 .05) .Conclusion BC‐5000 has good performance in hematology detection ,and it is an ideal small five categories hematology analyzer .
