2.Influence of nursing health education on morning blood pressure surge fluctuations in aged people with hypertension

Objective: To explore influence of nursing health education on morning blood pressure surge (MBPS) fluctuations in aged patients with hypertension.Methods: A total of 100 outpatients and inpatients with non-dipper hypertension, who haven't been treated, were selected from Apr 2011 to Sep 2015.According to random number table method, patients were randomly and equally divided into routine treatment group and health education group (received nursing health education based on routine treatment group), both groups were treated for four weeks.MBPS, trough/peak(T/P) ratio and smoothness index (SI) were measured and compared between two groups after treatment.Results: Compared with routine treatment group after four-week treatment, there were significant reductions in systolic blood pressure (SBP) morning surge[(46.95±5.17) mmHg vs.(42.21±5.19) mmHg]and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) morning surge[(16.31±3.23) mmHg vs.(14.21±3.58) mmHg], and significant rise in SBP T/P[(59.22±6.65)% vs.(70.11±6.41)%], DBP T/P[(50.91±5.04)% vs.(56.97±5.12)%], SBP SI[(1.19±0.13) vs.(1.42±0.12)]and DBP SI[(1.11±0.09) vs.(1.29±0.08)]in health education group, P<0.05 all.Conclusion: Health education can effectively improve blood pressure fluctuations and may likely improve prognosis in patients with non-dipper hypertension, which is worth extending.

The present problems were analyzed in the education in the gynecology of traditional Chinese medicine. And then the discusion was underwent as fellowes: the reasonable allocation of teaching hours, enriching teaching methods, setting up the concept of combining traditional Chinese and western medicine, developing the another class, paying attention on teacher training and student feedback. In this way, we want to explore the effective methods to improve the quality of education in the gynecology of traditional Chinese medicine.
4.The patients satisfaction with participation in medical and nursing decision making among cancer patients: a cross-sectional study

Objective To explore the patients satisfaction with participation in medical and nursing decision making and the influencing factors among cancer patients, and to provide a basis for developing better medical care services. Methods Totally 159 cancer patients were recruited from Beijing Cancer Hospital, and then were investigated with the general information questionnaire, the patients′ expectation for participation in clinical decision making scale, the patients′ competence for participation in clinical decision making scale, and the patients′satisfaction with participation in medical and nursing decision making questionnaires. Results The total score of patients′satisfaction with participation in medical and nursing decision making were (45.92±3.91) and (34.25±3.31) respectively. Compared with female patients, male patients had higher satisfaction with medical decision making (46.45±3.24&44.87±4.84) and nursing decision making (34.68 ± 2.93&33.42 ± 3.84) (t=2.416, P=0.017;t=2.275, P=0.024);and compared with melanoma patients, lung cancer patients had higher satisfaction with medical decision making (46.51 ± 2.69&43.33 ± 7.07, P=0.002);compared withⅢstage patients, Ⅳstage patients had higher satisfaction with nursing decision making(34.97±2.24&32.40±4.56, P<0.01). Meanwhile, the satisfaction with participation in decision making was significantly positively associated with patients′ expectation and competence for participation in clinical decision making. Conclusions Patients′satisfaction for decision making may vary from different gender, tumor types, disease stages, and patients′expectation and competence. Health care providers still further strength patients′ knowledge and initiative of decision making, and then improve patients′satisfaction with participation in decision making.
5.Inhibitory effects of mesenchymal stem cells on antigen-specific T cells and antigen presenting cells in experimental autoimmune uveitis

Background Our previous studies found that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can ameliorate experimental autoimmune uveitis (EAU) and reduce tissue impairment.Its mechanism is still pending.Objective This study was performed to investigate the effects of MSCs on T cell subsets and antigen presenting cells (APCs) in EAU rats.Methods MSCs were isolated from bone marrow of six male Wistar rats and cultured by plastic adherence method.Twelve female Lewis rats were assigned randomly into MSCs group and PBS group.EAU rat model was induced by immunization with 200 μl emulsion containing 30 μg interphotoreceptor retinoid-binding protein (IRBP) 1177-1191 polypeptide fragment R16 and complete Freund adjuvant (CFA).The eye manifestations of the rats were observed and scored under the slit lamp microscope after modeling.The R16-immunized rats were treated intravenously with 5×106/ml MSCs for 3 consecutive days from day 9 to 11 after modeling in the MSCs group,and the equivalent volume of PBS was used with the same way in the PBS group.Fifteen days after modeling,the spleens and draining lymph nodes were collected to evaluate the proportion of interferon-γ (IFN-γ) positive CD4+ T cells,interleukin-17 (IL-17)positive CD4+ T cells and forkhead helix transcription factor p3 (Foxp3) positive CD4+ T cells by flow cytometry.The T cells and APCs from the different groups were cocultured and divided into PBS cocultured group,MSCs cocultured group, PBS-MSCs cross-cultured group and MSCs-PBS cross-cultured group under the stimulation of R16 at the concentration of 0.3,1.0 or 10.0 μg/ml, and the proliferation indexes of the T cells in different groups were assayed by 5-bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) Elisa kit.The use of experimental animals complied with the regulations on the management of experimental animals promulgated by the national science and technology commission.Results The ocular surface inflammatory scores of 11,12,13 and 14 days after modeling in the MSCs group were significantly lower than that in the PBS group (t=3.825,5.100,4.250,3.400, all at P<0.05).Compared with the PBS group, the proportions of IFN-γ positive CD4+ T cells in spleen and draining lymph notes were considerably decreased in the MSCs group (t =5.651,4.376, both at P<0.05) , so were the IL-17+ CD4+ T cells (t =3.300,4.925, both at P<0.05).However,the proportions of Foxp3 + CD4+ T cells in spleen and draining lymph notes were statistically raised in the MSCs group compared with the PBS group (t =-5.172,-2.825,both at P<0.05).The proliferation index of T cells increased with the rise of R16 dose in the PBS cocultured group, and the proliferation indexes were all declined in the MSCs cocultured group compared with the PBS cocultured group under the stimulation of 0.3,1.0 and 10.0 μg/ml of R16 (P =0.027,0.000,0.000).In addition, significant reduces of proliferation indexes of T cells were seen in the PBS-MSCs cross-cultured group and MSCs-PBS cross-cultured group in comparison with the PBS cocultured group when stimulated by 1.0 μg/ml and 10.0 μg/ml R16 (1.0 μg/ml R16 : P =0.001,0.000;10.0 μg/ml R16:P=0.000,0.000).Conclusions MSCs can ameliorate EAU by inhibiting the functions of antigen-specific T cells and APCs and up-regulating T regulatory cells in EAU rats.
6.Spatial distribution and clustering in birth defects from 2010 to 2013 in Shaanxi Province

Objective:To explore the spatial distribution and clustering in birth defects from 2010 to 2013 in Shaanxi Province.Methods:Spatial distribution was used to describe the birth defects,while ordinary Kriging method was used to predict the status of birth defects in Shaanxi province.The spatial characteristics for the birth defects at the county/district level were analyzed by spatial autocorrelation.Results:The overall incidence of birth defects was 219.196/10 000;Birth defect did not appear to be a random distribution but show a significant spatial aggregation.Spatial interpolation predicted the geographic distribution for occurrence of birth defects in Shaanxi Province.Local autocorrelation analysis showed nine hot spot areas for birth defects,such as Qian County,Liquan County,Yongshou County,Bin County,Fufeng County,Jingyang County,Chunhua County,Wugong County and Xingping City,and seven cold spot areas including Jia County,Yuyang District,Mizhi County,Suide County,Wubu County,Qingjian County and Zizhou District.Conclusion:There are spatial clustering in birth defects from 2010 to 2013 in Shaanxi Province.Spatial interpolation and spatial autocorrelation can be used to predict the spatial features of birthdefects in the whole province and provide evidence for the further intervention.
7.Effect of WS070117M1 on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in mice and the underling mechanisms of anti-inflammation.

The aim of this study is to investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of the adenosine derivative N6-(3-hydroxylaniline) adenosine (WS070117M1) on cigarette smoke plus LPS (lipopolysaccharide)-induced chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in mice and its mechanism. COPD model was established by exposing male BALB/c mice to cigarette smoke and challenged with LPS inhalation. Supernatants of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) were harvested and IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8 and TGF-β1 levels were measured by ELISA (enzyme-linked immunesorbent assay). The number of total white blood cells and neutrophils in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid was counted separately. Lung tissue was stained with Mayer 's hematoxylin and eosin for histopathologic examination. pAMPKa protein expression and distribution of lung tissue were analyzed by immunohistochemistry method. In vitro, levels of AMPKα phosphorylation in phorbol-12- myristate-13-acetate (PMA) differentiated THP-1 cells was detected by immunohistochemistry, IL-8 level in supernatants of cigarette smoke condensate stimulating PMA differentiated THP-1 cells was measured by ELISA. The results showed that WS070117M1 treatment significantly activated AMPKa in the lung tissue. It also resulted in down regulation of IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8 and TGF-β1 levels in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and IL-8 level in cigarette smoke condensate stimulating PMA differentiated THP-1 cells. In addition, WS070117M1 could inhibit the recruitment of total white blood cells and neutrophils. These results suggest that WS070117M1 may alleviate the airway inflammation by activating AMPK in the lung tissue.
8.Validation of Microbial Limit Test Methods for Thirteen Kinds of Ointments

Objective:To establish the microbial limit test methods for thirteen kinds of ointments. Methods:The microbial limit of 13 kinds of ointments was respectively determined by the routine method, culture medium dilution method and membrane filtration method. Results:The recovery of the tested bacteria in the samples was above 70% by the different methods. Conclusion:The micro-bial limit test methods for thirteen kinds of ointments are stablished, which may be used in the quality control.
9.Effects of dihydroxy-stilbene compound Vam3 on airway inflammation, expression of ICAM-1, activities of NF-kappaB and MMP-9 in asthmatic mice.

The aim of the present study is to investigate the effects of Vam3 which is one of the dihydroxystilbene compounds on expressions of ICAM-1 in the lungs of OVA-induced asthmatic mice and the mechanisms of anti-airway inflammation. Balb/c mice were challenged with OVA inhalation. Lung tissues were stained with Mayer's hematoxylin and eosin for histopathologic examination. The expression of ICAM-1 in the lungs of mice was analyzed by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry method. The NF-kappaB activities were detected by NF-kappaB-luc reporter genetic transient transfection method. The activities of MMP-9 induced by LPS, TNF-alpha and PMA in THP-1 cells were determined by gelatin zymography method. The results showed that Vam3 could inhibit the expression of ICAM-1 in the OVA-induced mouse model. In addition, Vam3 could significantly suppress the activities of NF-kappaB in A549 cells and MMP-9 in THP-1 cells induced by LPS, TNF-alpha and PMA. These results suggested that Vam3 could alleviate the asthmatic inflammation by decreasing ICAM-1 expression in asthmatic mice, down regulating NF-kappaB and MMP-9 activities. Compound Vam3 showed inhibitory effects on inflammatory signal pathways involved in asthma.
10.Meta-analysis of Shenqi Fuzheng Injection Assisting TACE in the Adjuvant Treatment of Primary Liver Carcinoma

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Shenqi fuzheng injection assisting TACE in the adjuvant treatment of primary liver carcinoma,and to provide evidence-based reference.METHODS:Retrieved from CJFD,Wanfang database,VIP and PubMed,randomized controlled trials (RCTs) about Shenqi fuzheng injection assisting TACE (trial group) vs.TACE alone (control group) in the treatment of primary liver carcinoma were collected.Meta-analysis was performed by using Stata 12.0 software after data extraction and quality evaluation according to improved Jadad scale.RESULTS:A total of 8 RCTs were included,involving 527 patients.Results of Meta-analysis showed that there was no statistical significance in response rate [RR=1.19,95%CI(0.97,1.46),P=0.091] and clinical benefit rate [RR=1.16,95%CI(0.90,1.48),P=0.251] of 2 groups.The rate of life quality improvement in trial group was significantly higher than control group [RR=2.26,95 % CI (1.64,3.10),P=0.001],while the incidence of above middle fever [RR=0.74,95% CI (0.63,0.88),P=0.001],gastrointestinal reaction [RR=0.52,95% CI (0.32,0.85),P=0.010] and leucocyte reduction rate [RR=0.75,95% CI (0.62,0.92),P=0.005],were significantly lower than control group,with statistical significance.CONCLUSIONS:Shenqi fuzheng injection assisting TACE for primary liver carcinoma cannot improve therapeutic efficacy but improve the quality of life and reduce the incidence of gastrointestinal reaction and leucocyte reduction.
