Objective To investigate correlation between post-stroke depression (PSD) and multiple factors during onset of acute cerebral infarction. Methods Depression was measured with Hamilton Depression Rating Scales (HAMD) in 58 patients with acute cerebral infarction, and their neurological function were evaluated by neurological function defect (NFD) score. Their immunoglobulin G (IgG) index was calculated and level of nitric oxide (NO) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) was measured. Lesion and nature of cerebral infarction in 58 patients with acute stroke were located by CT. All the data were statistically analyzed with student-t test and ? 2 test, as well as linear regression model. Results Seventeen of 58 patients of stroke appeared PSD with an occurrence rate of 29.3%. OBJECTIVE:To investigate clinical significance of programmed cell death 5 (PDCD5) protein in serum of pa-tients with lung cancer. METHODS:80 lung cancer inpatients were selected from the First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University School of Medicine(hereinafter referred to asour hospital)as lung cancer group;60 healthy volunteers were selected from our hospital at the same period as normal group. ELISA was used to test the expression of PDCD5 protein,and the relationship of PDCD5 protein with clinical pathological features of lung cancer patients were analyzed. RESULTS:The expression of PDCD5 pro-tein in normal group was significantly higher than lung cancer group,with statistical significance (P<0.05). The expression of PDCD5 protein in lung caner patients was not associated with gender,smoking history and pathological type(P>0.05);it was de-creased as the decrease of tumor differentiation degree,with statistical significance(P<0.05). The expression of PDCD5 protein in patients with carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)<5.6μmol/L was significantly higher than those with CEA≥5.6μmol/L;the expres-sion of PDCD5 protein in patients with cytokeratin 19 soluble fragment (CYFRA21-1)<5.6 μmol/L was significantly higher than those with CYFRA21-1≥5.6 μmol/L,with statistical significance(P<0.05). The expression of PDCD5 protein in patients with Ⅰ-Ⅱ stage lung cancer was significantly higher than Ⅲ-Ⅳ stage lung cancer patients;the expression of PDCD5 protein in patients without distant metastasis was significantly higher than those with distant metastasis. The expression of PDCD5 protein was in de-creasing as the increase of the number of metastasis site,with statistical significance(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:PDCD5 protein in serum of patients with lung cancer shows low expression level,which is related to tumor differentiation degree,tumor marker level as CEA and CYFRA21-1,tumor stage and distant metastasis,etc. The detection of PDCD5 protein may contribute to clinical diagnosis of lung cancer.

To observe the clinical results of innercapsular phacoemulsification with primary intraocular lens ( lOL ) implantation in the treatment of lens dislocation.METHODS: A total of 23 cases ( 23 eyes ) of lens dislocation ( lla and llb ) were underwent innercapsular phacoemulsification combined with primary lOL implantation. lOL implantation were underwent during operation, the complications of intraoperative and postoperative, postoperative vision, intraocular pressure ( lOP ) , corneal endothelial cell, lOL location were analyzed.RESULTS: The operations were successfully completed for all patients in accordance with the pre - surgery program; lens nucleus or its fragments did not crash into the vitreous cavity; 20 cases of corneal edema and 17 cases of lOP presented at the first day after surgery, the deviation or displacement of lOL and serious complications such as retinal detachment were not appeared. At the first week postoperation, the average lOP was 15. 81 ± 2. 10mmHg, with statistically significant differences when compared with the preoperative ( P<0. 01 ) , the visual acuity in all eases increased, with statistically significant differences when compared with the preoperative ( P < 0. 01 ). Corneal endothelial cell density and percentage of hexagonal cells decreased, the variation coefficient increased in first week of postoperative, with no statistically significant differences when compared with the preoperative (P>0. 05) CONCLUSlON: lnnercapsular phacoemulsification combined with primary lOL implantation in the treatment of the whole lens dislocation (‖a and ‖b ) can restore function in patients with diplopia and control lOP effectively, reduce corneal endothelial cell damage, which is an effective method to treat the whole traumatic lens dislocation.

5 days.Blood gas analysis and blood pressure were determined at admitted day.Meanwhile,peripheral white blood cells at d1,3,5,and blood glucose were measured every day,respectively.GCS at d1,3,5 and hyperglycemia scorce(HS) were evaluated.Results Of the 82 studied patients,36 cases died.Univariate analysis showed that hypotension,lower GCS,higher peripheral white blood cells and HS were the independent death risk factors(Pa0.05).In multivariate logistic regression,the factors significantly associated with an increase in mortality were hypotension,lower GCS and higher HS.Conclusion Lower GCS,higher HS and hypotension are associated with poor outcome of children with severe trauma brain injury.

The effects of pioglitazone (PIO) and tumor necrosis faetor-?(TNF-?) on two kinds of adiponectin receptor (AdipoR) mRNA expression were observed in 3T3-L1 adipocytes by RT-PCR.AdipoR mRNA expression was up-regulated during 3T3-L1 preadipocyte differentiation;PIO could increase the AdipoR mRNA level expressed in undifferentiated and differentiated 3T3-L1 adipocytes in a time-and dose-dependent manner,and TNF-?had no influence on the expression of AdipoR mRNA.

The secondary metabolites of plants are important sources of natural drugs. Betula plants have abundant pharmacological value, complex mechanism and wide applications, which are closely related to the triterpenoids of theirs. Triterpenoids in Betula species are mainly divided into dammarane-type, ocotillol-type, oleanane-type, lupane-type and cycloaltunane-type. The extracts of Betula species have varieties of activities such as anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial, etc. And the biosynthetic pathways of triterpenoids after 2,3-oxidosqualene are split into four branches of dammarenediol-II, lupeol, cycloartenol and amyrin according to the different oxidosqualene cyclases. This review summarizes the chemical constituents, pharmacological activities and biosynthetic pathways of triterpenoids in Betula plants. It provides a reference for the research and development of new drugs and the production of these triterpenoids in microbial cell factories by synthetic biology methods.

Traditional herbal medicines, Panax ginseng, Panax quinquefolium and Panax notoginseng, attract our attention for their extensive and powerful pharmacological activities. Ginsenosides are the main active constituents of these medicinal herbs. The related glycosyltransferases involved in ginsenoside biosynthesis are the key enzymes which catalyze the last important step. Modification of ginsenoside aglycones by glycosyltransferases produces the complexity and diversity of ginsenosides, which have more extensive pharmacological activity. At present, ginsenoside aglycones and compound K have been obtained by synthetic biology. As the last step of ginsenoside biosynthesis, glycosylation of ginsenoside aglycones has been studied intensively in recent years. This review summarizes the basic strategies and research advances in studies on glycosyltransferases involved in ginsenoside biosynthesis, which is expected to lay the theoretical foundation for the in-depth research of biosynthetic pathway of ginsenosides and their production by synthetic biology.

Pichia pastoris is one of the most important systems used in the field of molecular biology for the expression of recombinant proteins. The system has advantages of high expression, high stability, high secretion, easy high-density fermentation and low cost. Many factors affect the expression of recombinant protein, such as gene copy number, codon usage preference, type of promoter, molecular chaperones, glycosylation, signal peptide and fermentation process. In this review, research advances of the above aspects are summarized, which lay a foundation for improving the expression of recombinant proteins in P. pastoris.
