Objective To build the dynamic management system of nursing staff allocation in general pediatric wards based on working hours measurement.Methods 30 general pediatric wards of 25 general or children hospitals of upper first class were selected to measure working hours.Depending on the average nursing hours required for pediatric patients in different care levels by each positions,we achieved the nursing staffing formulas.Results 7 nursing posts under double-shift turn and three-shift turn were collected.The average hour that nursing posts provide for one different nursing grade patient was made out.Taking a ward which had 20 patients as nursing grade one and 20 patients as nursing grade two for example,it would need 8-9 responsible nurses,2-3 long night shift nurses,1-2 general affairs nurses,2 night assistance nurse,1 day assistance nurse by double-shift turn,meanwhile,it would need 8 responsible nurses,4 early night shift nurses,3 late night shift nurses,1-2 general affairs nurses by three-shift turn.Conclusions Using the formulas based on measurement of working hours to calculate the number of nursing staff could provide a way to help the managers.

Objective To share for the nursing adverse events resources in the region, which would provide scientific data for nursing security management. Methods The form of nursing adverse events reporting was first designed by researchers. Then with the help of computer engineers the module on regional collaborative information platform was constructed. Preliminary running was used to modify and improve. Through continuous improvement the module function of adverse events reporting, query and statistics was finally made out. Results The module on regional collaborative information platform for nursing adverse events reporting and analysis was constructed, and it worked well. Conclusions The module realizes the sharing of nursing adverse events resources in the region. It can improve the level of nursing safety management in each hospital, which helps to reduce the incidence of nursing adverse events.

Objective To investigate correlation between post-stroke depression (PSD) and multiple factors during onset of acute cerebral infarction. Methods Depression was measured with Hamilton Depression Rating Scales (HAMD) in 58 patients with acute cerebral infarction, and their neurological function were evaluated by neurological function defect (NFD) score. Their immunoglobulin G (IgG) index was calculated and level of nitric oxide (NO) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) was measured. Lesion and nature of cerebral infarction in 58 patients with acute stroke were located by CT. All the data were statistically analyzed with student-t test and ? 2 test, as well as linear regression model. Results Seventeen of 58 patients of stroke appeared PSD with an occurrence rate of 29.3%. Objective To establish the quality standard of Buxin Ruanmai granules. Methods TLC was used to identify Ophiopogonis, Corni Fructus, Hirudo, Ginkgo Folium and Polygoni Cuspidati Rhizoma et Radix. HPLC was used to determine the content of salidroside and loganin. Results Ophiopogonis, Corni Fructus, Hirudo, Ginkgo Folium and Polygoni Cuspidati Rhizoma et Radix could be identified by TLC. The linear range of salidroside was within 0.290 2-2.902 4 μg and the average recovery (n=6) was 99.64%(RSD=2.72%). The linear range of loganin was within 0.083 1-0.831 2 μg and the average recovery (n=6) was 100.12% (RSD=2.27%). Conclusion The method is simple, accurate and reproducible, which can effectively control the quality of Buxin Ruanmai granules.

Objective To evaluate the dynamic changes of T lymphocyte subsets in children with hand-foot-and-mouth disease(HFMD)and to provide new evidence for the therapy and prognosis.Methods Peripheral venous blood samples of 346 HFMD cases in acute stage who were hospitalized in Beijing Ditan Hospital from May 1,2008 to August 31,2008 were collected and T lymphocyte subsets were assayed by flow cytometer.Meanwhile,T lymphocyte subsets of 67 HFMD cases in recovery phase were also detected.The pathogens were determined by reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)using pharynx swab samples from 99 cases.Different samples were compared by independent-sample t test,paired t test or variance analysis.Results The average levels of T lymphocyte subsets of HFMD children in different agc groups were all lower than reference levels of healthy children in according age groups.In severe cases.T lymphocyte(TL)/lymphocyte (L)ratio in all age groups,helper T cell(Th)/L ratio in children older than 1 year,TL,Th and Th/suppressor T cell(Ts)ratio in children of 1-2 years old were all lower than those in common eases (P＜0.05).The Th/L ratio tended to increase with the disease progression.Ratios of TL/L and Th/L in common cases were increased in recovery phase(TL/L:56.3±8.6 vs 61.1±9.1,t=2.56,P＜0.05;Th/L:30.2±7.2 vs 34.9±7.9,t=2.90,P＜0.05)and all indices of severe cases except Ts/Lratio and Th/Ts ratio increased apparently in recovery phase(P＜0.01).TL[(1.738±0.976)×10~6/Lvs(2.696±1.946)×10~6/L,t=2.17,P＜0.05],Th/L ratio(25.9±7.0 vs 30.2±7.2,t=2.34,P＜0.05),Th[(0.864±0.550)×10~6/L vs(1.459±0.879)×10~6/L,t=2.90,P＜0.01]and L[(3.352±1.458)×10~6/L vs(4.664±2.435)×10~6/L,t=2.32,P＜0.05]of severe cases in acute phase were all lower than those of common cases(P＜0.05),while those were not significantly different in recovery phase between two groups(P＞0.05).The T lymphocyte subsets of enterovirus(EV)71 positive cases were lower than EVT1 negative cases,but there was no significant difference between these two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion T lymphocyte immune responses may be correlated with HFMD onset and progression.

Objective To explore the effects of MIF stimulation on collagen Ⅰ and Ⅲ synthesis in the cultured blood vessel SMC ofrats. Method The content of collagen Ⅰ and Ⅲ protein in primary culture of SMC was measured with Western-blot. Results MIF couldpromote the increasing of the collagen Ⅰ protein expression in the SMC. But there were no improvement on collagen Ⅲ. Conclusions MIFcould stimulate SMC to synthesize the collagen Ⅰ.
