Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1989;0(05):-
AIM and METHODS: To study the effect of Nao-xue-bao at three different doses on blood coagulation, platelet aggregation by observing the changes in activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), prothrombin time (PT), antithrombin-Ⅲ(AT-III), fibrinogen(Fng), plasminogen(Plg) and platelet aggregation(PAG). RESULTS: Compared with thrombosis group, the rats treated with Naoxuebao showed that the plasma APTT,PT were longer, and the activity of AT-III was increased. The content of Fng was reduced, TT was longer, there was a negative correlation between Fng and TT. Furthermore PAG-1, PAG-5 and PAG-M were reduced. CONCLUSION: Nao-xue-bao could inhibit thrombosis in different keys of blood coagulation.

AIM:To observe the influence of Chuanbaiqufeng Capsule(Rhizoma Chuanxiong,Radix Paeoniae alba,Herba Schizonepetae, etc.) on the primary trigeminal neuralgia of the model rat.METHODS:Chuanbaiqufeng Capsule was taken to treat the primary trigeminal neuralgia and the pain after chronic constriction injury, and then compared with the control contrast group and the Carbamazepine group.RESULTS:Chuanbaiqufeng Capsule could raise the content of substance P and 5-HT in the rats' brain of the primary trigeminal neuralgia. But for the rat's model after chronic constriction injury,Chuanbaiqufeng Capsule could make the pain threshold risen(P

Objective To investigate the correlations of ATP-binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1) protein expression in renal interstitium with foam cells formation, tubulointerstitial lesion and serum cholesterol in glomerulonephropathy. Methods Five patients with Alport syndrome,28 patients with membranous proliferative glomerular nephritis (MPGN),35 patients with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS),36 patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN) and 34 patients with IgA nephropathy (IgAN) were enrolled in the study.Expression of ABCA1 protein was detected by immunohistochemical method. The relative area of foam cells in renal interstitium was semi-quantified and the correlations of ABCA1 protein expression in renal interstitium (except for renal tubules) with the relative area of foam cells, integration of tubulointerstitial lesion (TIL) and serum cholesterol were examined using t test and linear correlation analysis. Results In renal interstitium,monocyte-macrophages,foam cells and renal tubular epithelial cells expressed ABCA1 protein.ABCA1 protein expression in renal interstitium with foam cells infiltration was significantly higher as compared to that without foam cells infiltration (P< 0.05),but there was no correlation between ABCA1 expression and foam cells area (P>0.05).In MPGN,FSGS,IMN patients, there was a positive correlation between ABCA1 protein expression in renal interstitium and integration of TIL (P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between serum cholesterol level and ABCA1 protein expression in renal interstitium (P<0.05).Conclusions In glomerulonephropathy, cholesterol may promote the ABCA1 expression in renal interstitium.ABCA1 may have double-effects on transportation of cholesterol.ABCA1 may take part in the process of tubulointerstitial lesion.

Knowledge-attitude-practice model is widely used in the self-management of type-2 diabetes.Through proper education, patients can gain diabetic knowledge as well as positive attitude on glucose control.By regulating diet, exercise, self glucose monitoring and medication compliance, diabetic patients are able to control blood glucose more effectively, and have less complications and higher quality of life.Researches on the application and effectiveness of various diabetic knowledge, attitude and self-management behavior scales are reviewed in this article.

Chinese Journal of Clinical and Experimental Pathology 2009;(6):606-609,614
Purpose To observe the pathologic types of glomerular diseases which have high renal interstitial foam cells infiltration and to evaluate the relationship between infiltration of foam cells (FC) in renal interstitial tissue and pathologic parameters. Methods A total of 2 862 patients who had received renal biopsy were enrolled in this study. Patients with Alport syndrome (AS,n=5), membranous proliferative glomerular nephritis (MPGN,n=28), focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS,n=144), idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN,n=132), IgA nephropathy (IgAN,n=893) were divided into two groups:FC+ group with foam cells and FC- group without foam cells. Results Infiltration of foam cells in renal interstitial tissue was commonly seen in AS.The frequency of interstitial foam cells was 46.43% in MPGN, 20.14% in FSGS, 13.64% in IMN, and 6.27% in IgAN. It was found that the segmental glomerular sclerosis and interstitial fibrosis were more severe in FC+ group than that in FC- group. Conclusions The renal interstitial foam cells are most common in patients with AS, but also seen in patients with MPGN, FSGS, IMN and IgAN. There might be a relationship between glomerular sclerosis, interstitial fibrosis and infiltration of foam cells. The present of foam cells in the renal interstitial tissue may contribute to the progression of renal diseases.

Objective To analyze the molecular characterization of PrM/C and E genome of Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV) strain,CQ11-66,a newly strain isolated from patients with epidemic encephalitis B Chongqing Municipal. Methods The samples were collected from Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, and inoculating BHK-21 cells were used to detect and isolate the Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV) strain, computer analysis of the phylogenetic, nucleic acid data and deduced amino acid sequence was accomplished using the Clustal X(1.8) and MEGA5 programs. Results Only one JEV strain was isolated from patient's cerebrospinal fluid specimen, named CQ11-66.Comparison of the PrM/C genome sequence of strain CQ11-66 with other 31 JEV isolates showed a 74.8%-97.4% nucleotide sequence homology among them, which resulted in 85.6%-98.7% amino acid sequence homology; Meanwhile, comparison of the E genome sequence of strain CQ11-66 with other 35 JEV isolates showed a 81.6%-99.6% nucleotide sequence homology among them, which resulted in 94.8%-99.6% amino acid sequence homology. There were high homology between CQ11-66 and JEV isolates from Fujian province on nucleotide sequence and amino acid sequence.Phylogenetic analysis of PrM/C and E genome showed that the CQ11-66 belonged to genotype Ⅲ.Conclusion Only one JEV strain was isolated from patient's cerebrospinal fluid specimen. There were some differences between CQ11-66 strain and other JEV isolates, and CQ11-66 strain belonged to genotype Ⅲ.

OBJECTIVE: To study the chemical constituents of Alocasia macrorrhiza (L.) Schott. METHODS: Chemical constituents were extracted by organic solvents, isolated and purified by chromatographic techniques with silica gel, polyamide, ODS, Sephadex LH-20, semi-preparative HPLC and recrystallization. Their structures were identified on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectral data analyses of MS and NMR, et al. RESULTS: Nine compounds were isolated from its rhizoma and identified as glycosmisic acid (1), N-trans-feruloyltyramine(2), grossamide(3), protocatechuic acid(4), borneol acetate(5), vanillic acid(6), methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate(7), β-daucosterol(8), and β-sitosterol(9). CONCLUSION: Compounds 1-9 were isolated from Alocasia macrorrhiza for the first time.
