ObjectiveTo explore a method for reconstruction of the middle and lower facial tension system for surgical rejuvenation.MethodsFrom 2003 to 2011,257 female patients were treated with this procedure,in which superficial musclo-aponeurotic system (SMAS) of the cheeks were tightened and fixed to the deep temporal fascia and the temporal muscle fascia in muhidirectional and oblique toward the eye and ear rather than just toward the ear through purse string suture method to achieve the goals of facial rejuvenation.ResultsThe follow-up data were obtained in 50 cases, with time range of 3-60 months. Each case was evaluated by both the patient and the surgical team.Excellent or good results were achieved for 255 cases. In all we succeeded in correcting the nasolabial sulcal deformity, and the cheek ptosis, and the contour of the face were more smoothly than that of preoperative appearance. The outlines of lower face became narrow, and thinner than the preoperative. All the patients were without loss of facial identity.Complications occurred occasionally, including the tensional blister on the dermal suture point and local numbness. No incision scar, alopecia and facial nerve injury occurred.Effects of rejuvenation were obvious and natural in 3-6 months after surgery.Especially 12 months after operation the results were the best.ConclusionsThis technique addresses the multiple factors involved in the senescent changes of the midface.Proper patient selection, good aesthetic judgment, and surgical competence are required to restore the midface and lower face tension system reconstruction. This novel approach is safe and effective, and the result is stable and lasting.

Objective To investigate the clinical status of post-core crown in anterior teeth aesthetical restoration and to observe its effect. Methods 126 cases of anterior teeth in patients with mild deformity, restored with post-core crown after informed consent meanwhile conducted clinical follow-up observation. Results In addition to 2 cases of disease after root canal treatment, 1 incisal and labial surface of porcelain fracture, other cases achieved desired results in the way of self-satisfaction,clinical efficacy and x-ray observation and periapical films. Conclusion Post-core crown in anterior aesthetical restoration has a unique position and clinical efficacy.

Objective The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of multipoint transfixion combined with filling of temporal fascia and the lateral orbicularis oculi muscle as an alternative rejuvenation technique on crow's feet wrinkles during face lift. Methods A retrospective review was conducted in 86 patients who underwent crow's feet wrinkles treatment during 2005 and 2009.During operation orbicularis' strength was broken down and blocked when we multi-pointly sutured and fixed the orbicularis oculi and deep tissue, temproal musculofascia was filled on the surface of multi-pointly sutured orbicularis oculi.By postoperative follow-up,complications,aesthetic outcome, and patient's satisfaction were recorded. Results In the group of 86 cases,50 cases were followed up from 3 to 28 months. The effect was lasting obviously and there was no any severe complications, such as hematoma or nerve injury.Patients were satisfied with their results.Among the total,2 patients appeared the temporary movement loss of the eyebrows in one side, but both recovered 3 months later. And 1 case appeared subcutaneous nodular inflammation and recovered after pulling out the suture. Conclusions The authors demonstrate that combination of filling with temporal fascia and the multipoint transfixion of lateral orbicularis oculi muscle is a safe technique, which may be a good alternative for periorbital rejuvenation and help in avoiding lower lid incisions or extensive dissections during face lifting in some cases.

Objective To determine the median effective target effect-site concentration (EC50) of sufentanil inhibiting responses to insertion of laryngeal mask airway (LMA) when combined with propofol in the elderly patients. Methods ASA physical status Ⅰ or Ⅱ patients, aged 66-75 yr,with body mass index of 19-30 kg/m2,scheduled for elective transurethral resection of prostate under general anesthesia, were included in this study.Anesthesia was induced with propofol given by target-controlled infusion. The initial target effect-site concentration (Ce) of propofol was 1 μg/ml,and the Ce was increased by 0.5 μg/ml every 1 min until it was increased to 2 μg/ml and maintained at this level for 5 min.Sufentanil was simultaneously administered by target-controlled infusion. The target Ce of sufentanil was 0.3 ng/ml in the first patient. The concentration of sufentanil was determined using the modified Dixon's up-and-down method. After the patients lost consciousness,LMA was inserted after the target effect-site and plasma concentrations were balanced. The insertion response was defined as positive when MAP and HR increased by 20% of the baseline value within 5 min after insertion of LMA.The Ce of sufentanil was increased/decreased in the next patient if the insertion response was positive or negative. The ratio between the two successive concentrations was 1.2.The EC50 and 95 % confidence interval of sufentanil blunting responses to insertion of LMA was calculated using Probit analysis. Results When combined with propofol, the EC50 (95% confidence interval) of sufentanil blunting responses to insertion of LMA was 0.160 (0.130-0.188) ng/ml.Conclusion The EC50 of sufentanil inhibiting responses to insertion of LMA is 0.160 ng/ml when combined with propofol in the elderly patients.

OBJECTIVE To retrospectively investigate the ciprofloxacin-resistance rate of Escherichia coli(ECO) and its main impact factors, and then guide empiric therapy for its infection. METHODS We looked up relative data in Hubei Network for Surveillance of Bacterial Antimicrobial Resistance.WHONET 5.2 Software was used to analyze resistance rates, and SAS software to perform univariate and multivariate Logistic regression assay. RESULTS Ciprofloxacin-resistance rate of ECO was and is on the rising, meanwhile, its resistance rates were different for laboratory, patient origin, age group, gender and so on,and the differences were all very significant(P

The complex level of constructing biopharmaceutics classification system of Chinese materia medica CMMBCS) was the study of traditional Chinese compound, on the premise of insisting that the multicomponent simultaneous determination, when carrying out the study of intestinal permeability, the primary task was to define the source of the components that was absorbed through the intestinal wall, namely, which medicinal material the components belonged to in traditional Chinese compound. The technology of chemical fingerprint and in vitro everted gut sac model were used in this research to make multicomponent an intuitive source attribution which permeated the intestine in the classic formula Gegen Qinlian decoction, and to lay the foundation for the further qualitative and quantitative research of intestinal permeability.
