Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of biofeedback for anxiety patients by carrying out a Meta-analysis.Methods We searched CNKI,VIP,CBM(1989 to 2013) to identify relevant randomized-control trials applying biofeedback for anxiety patients.We used Review Management (RevMan) 5.0 software (provided by the Cochrane collaboration) to conduct Meta-analysis.Results We included 11 studies.Meta-analysis for the biofeedback group vs.the control group showed that biofeedback was significantly superior to control (SMD=-3.00,95％CI:-4.40～-1.61); Meta-analysis for the biofeedback plus drug group vs.drug group showed that biofeedback plus drug was significantly superior to drug (SMD=-1.33,95％CI:-1.82～-0.85).Conclusions We found evidence that biofeedback (applying alone or combined with drugs) is effective in improving anxiety symptom.But all the studies had methodological limitations,our conclusion needs further studies with strict design,high quality and consistent assessment tools to be expounded and proven.

Objective To investigate the effects of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) versus cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) for treating adult posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) .Methods A total of 81 patients with PTSD con‐forming to the including standard were randomly allocated to the EMDR group ,CBT group ,and control group ,27 cases per group . The PTSD symptoms ,anxiety and depression moods in 3 groups were assessed before and after treatment by adopting the Clinician‐administered PTSD Scale (CAPS) ,Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) .Results The drop‐out rates were 29 .63% for the EMDR group ,7 .41% for the CBT group and 7 .41% for the control group respectively ;the re‐experience symptoms score of CAPS in the EMDR group was lower than that in the CBT group with statistical difference (P=0 . 036) .Conclusion Both EMDR and CBT are the effective psychological therapeutic method ,EMDR has more effective than CBT in the reproving the re‐experience symptoms of PTSD .The future studies should pay more attention to the application of stabilization technologies for reducing the dropout rate of EMDR .

Objective To study the differences in retinoic acid receptor γ(RARγ) mRNA expression levels in blood leukocytes between antipsychotic-free and antipsychotic-naive schizophrenic patients and healthy control,especially in different genders. Methods Forty-three acute schizophrenic patients who were antipsychotic-naive or antipsychotic-free for at least three months (male = 34, female = 9) and 39 age- and sex-matched healthy subjects (male =25 ,female = 14) were included for blood leukocytes expression of RAR γ mRNA ,using real-time PCR technique. Results Kolmogorov-Smirnov Z analysis showed a significant increase of RARγ mRNA (P =0.041) level in blood leukocytes of pooled schizophrenic patients(0. 027 ± 0. 003) than in the healthy subjects (0. 020 ± 0.002). The elevation was mainly found in the female patients (0. 030 ± 0.003). Within-sex analysis showed that the female schizophrenic patients showed a trend increase (P = 0. 166) of RAR γmRNA expression compared with the male patients (0. 026 ± 0. 001) and exhibited greater RARγ mRNA expression (P = 0. 014)when compared with the female healthy subjects(0. 018 ±0.004). Conclusions The present findings showed an abnormal expression of leukocyte RARγ mRNA level in antipsychotic-free and antipsychotic-naive schizophrenia especially in the female patients. Blood RARγ markers could add to the diagnosis and individualized pharmacotherapy of schizophrenic patients ,especially the female patients.

Objective To discuss the clinical value of ultrasonic elastography for thyroid nodules,and compared with pathology.Methods 77 patients with 105 thyroid lesions were analyzed.Tissue stiffness on elastography was scored from one(greatest elastics train)to five (no strain).Results On elastography:scores 1 and 2 were found in 75％ benign lesions.Scores 3 to 5 were found in 97.4％ malignant lesions.There were statistically difference in the scores of elastography between the benign and malignant lesions (P ＜0.01).Conclusions The ultrasonic elastography had positive significance in differentiating benign and malignant thyroid nodules.If the score of elastography is more than or equal to 3,the thyroid nodule is highprobablely malignant.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of 99Tcm-MIBI gated G-MPI in detecting the myocardial damage in sarcoglycanopathy.Methods 99 Tcm - MIBI G - MPI was performed in 8 patients (3 males,5 females,age ranged from 10 to 30 y) with sarcoglycanopathy confirmed by clinical results and molecular pathology and 4 healthy persons as control group.Quantitative gated SPECT (QGS) software was used for processing and interpretation.Myocardium of left ventricle was divided into 7 segments and 20 subsegments.A five-point scoring system was used to evaluate the myocardial damage.Results Seven patients showed positive results in G-MPI (7/8).Fifty-nine sub-segments of injured myocardium were detected in the 140 sub-segments of 7 abnormal patients.One abnormal segment was observed in 1 patient,two abnormal segments were detected in 2 patients,and ≥3 abnormal segments were observed in 4 patients.Enlarged left ventricles were detected in 5 patients (5/8),and the LVEF of 3 patients among them decreased to (43.1 ±2.8)％.Conclusion 99Tcm-MIBI G-MPI can detect myocardial damage in sarcoglycanopathy as a direct and non-invasive method,and can be used in the early diagnosis and long-term follow-up in sarcoglycanopathy.
