Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(05):-
Objective: To study the effect of eliminating pyrogen with ultrafiltration on the quatity of Chuanshentong Injection. Methods: The sample solution was filtered with the ultrafiltration membranes of molecular weight 6000 and 20000. Then, the results of eliminating pyrogens and the examination results of quality of sample solution before and after ultrafiltration were compared. Results: The results of elminating pyrogens is satisfactory. But there are larger changes in many items of quality markers after ultrafiltration. Conclusion: Therefore, the ultrafiltration should be used with caution in eliminating pyrogens of injection of Chinese medicinals.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(2):191-197
This paper is aimed to study the differences of allelopathic effects of Panax notoginseng under different allelopathic chemicals resources and selection of appropriate rotation crops. The additive main effects and multiplicative interaction ( AMMI) model had been used to evaluate the stability of allelopathic effects of P. notoginseng on the varieties of corn, wheat and rice properly. The model could use not only to evaluate the stability of non-regional trial data but also explore the interaction between the rotation crop genotypes and donor substances more efficiently. Meanwhile, correspondence analysis can be used in the AMMI to evaluate genotype stability and donor substances. Ejingza No. 1 (g6) had stronger allelopathic effects with high stability, but Yunrui No. 1 (g9) which was appropriate rotation crop genotype, had weaker allelopathic effects with high stability. These findings will aid in choosing appropriate rotation crops and establishing proper rotation system.

Modern Clinical Nursing 2015;(7):10-13,14
Objective To explore the effect of extended care on the quality of life of patients with permanent colostomy . Methods Clinical data of 268 patients with permanent colostomy were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were randomly divided into the experiment group (n=154) and control group (n=114). Two groups of patients after colostomy were given conventional nursing and telephone follow-up and the experiment group also received extended care such as home visits , seminars and fraternity care. Postoperative follow-up was done for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 1 year. Core quality of life questionnaire (QLQ C30) was used to investigate the patients after 1 year intervention. Result Compared with the control group, patients′physical function, role function, emotional function, cognitive function, social function and health status rating were significantly improved in the experiment group (P<0.05). Conclusion Extended nursing can provide more comprehensive, systematic, professional nursing, improve the mastery of relevant knowledge and the skills and finally improve patients′quality of life.

Oral iron is a commonly used preparation for the treatment of iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia in children, but its undesirable taste has become a major factor affecting clinical adherence to the medication. No studies have been conducted to evaluate the palatability of oral iron supplements. Thirteen representative oral iron supplements were selected to evaluate the palatability of oral iron supplements from different perspectives of

ObjectiveTo study the effct of the early rehabilitation of acute stroke with acupunction added to rehabilitational training.Methods120 patients with acute stroke were divided into 2 growps with 60 cases each:the acupunction growp,in which the patients were acepted acupuncture added to rehabilitational training, and the control growp,in which the patients were acepted the rehabilitational training only. All the patients were evaluated with Clinical Nervous Functional Deficiency(CNFD),Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA) and Modified Barthel Index(MBI).Results The scales of CNFD,FMAanal Deficiency (CNFD),Fugl-Meyer Assess me that of the control growp. The rate of cure and significantly in the acupunction growp was 75%,while that of the control growp was 41.7%(P<0.01).Conclusions Acupunction compared with the rehabilitational training is effective on the with stroke.

Objective Using MRI-T2 * method to quantify the cardiac iron overload in patients with β-thalassemia major and to evaluate the correlation between cardiac T2 * values and serum ferritin (SF),liver iron concentration(LIC).Methods Fifty-eight over 10 years old transfusion-dependent patients with β-thalassemia major were underwent MRI heart measurement to obtain T2 * values.Spearman rank correlation was used to analyze the relationship between cardiac T2*,SF,and LIC.Patients were divided into two groups based on standard setting (SF >2500 μg/L or LIC > 15 mg/g of dry tissue).Differences of cardiac T2 * values between two groups were evaluated by Wilcoxon rank sum test with cardiac T2 * < 20 ms as diagnosis standard. The sensibilities and specificities of prediction for cardiac iron deposition with the index of SF > 2500 μg/L or LIC > 15 mg/g dry tissue were calculated, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was performed. Results The range (median) of cardiac T2 * values,SF and LIC in 58 patients were 4.7-51.1 ms (14.0 ms),1345-23 640 μg/L (5741 μg/L),9.0->43.0 mg/g dry tissue (41.4 mg/g),respectively.There was no linear correlation between cardiac T2 * values and SF (r =-0.240,P =0.070).Cardiac T2 * values and LIC was weakly correlated (r =-0.420,P =0.002).The range (median) of cardiac T2 * values was 6.1-47.6 ms (23.7 ms) in 7 patients of SF ≤ 2500 μg/L group. The range (median) of cardiac T2 * values was 4.7-51.1 ms(13.5 ms) in 51 patients of SF >2500 μg/L group. There was no statistically significant difference between two groups (Z =-0.489,P =0.625).The range (median) of cardiac T2 * values was 24.4-51.1 ms (44.8 ms) in 5 patients of the LIC ≤15 mg/g dry tissue group. The range (median) of cardiac T2 * values was 4.7-45.5 ms (13.2 ms) in 53 patients of HIC > 15 mg/g dry tissue group. There was significant difference between T2 * values of the two groups(Z =-2.895,P =0.004).To predict cardiac iron deposition, the sensibilities and specificities were 90.9% (30/33) and 16.0% (4/25) for the index of SF >2500 μg/L,100.0% (33/33) and 20.0%(5/25) for LIC > 15 mg/g dry tissue respectively. The areas under the ROC curve were 0.652 with the index of SF and 0.775 with the index of LIC.Conclusions MRI-T2 * method can directly quantify the cardiac iron overload in patients with β-thalassemia major. There is no linear correlation between cardiac T2 * values and SF.Cardiac T2 * values and LIC is weakly correlated.Using SF or LIC as an indirect index to predict cardiac iron deposition is not reliable in clinical.
