1.The expression of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 in the hippocampus of rats restrained and stressed by electroacupuncture
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2009;31(3):159-162
Objective To observe the expression of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (11β-HSD1) in the hippocampi of rats stressed by restraint, and adjustments to 11β-HSD1 expression in response to electroacupuncture. The mechanisms of adjustment of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis(HPA) to electroacupuncture were also studied. Methods Rats were randomly divided into a control group,a group stressed by restraint and an electroacupuncture group. The rats in the control group received no treatment. The rats in the strssd group were put into a small columnar cage and their hind legs tied outside the cage. The electroacupuncture group, in addition to being restrained, received electroacupuncture at the Zusanli acupoints on both sides of their bodies. The rats were then sacrificed and their hippocampi were isolated and lysed. The expression of 11β-HSD1 in each hippocampus were observed using the Western blotting technique. Results The leves of expression of 11β-HSD1 in the hippocampi of the restrained group were significantly higher than those in the control group. After electroacupuncture,11β-HSD1 expression in the hippocampus increased further and lasted 3 h. Conclusion Electroacupuncture at the Zusanli acupoints (ST36) can increase 11β-HSD1 expression in the hippocampus of stressed rats, and this adjustment may be related to the HPA axis' negative feedback function.

Objective To conduct the clinical and pathological evaluation on the conservative surgery in tubal pregnancy . Methods 513 cases of tubal pregnancy in this hospital from January 2006 to December 2012 were divide into the conservative sur-gery group(A ,314 cases) ,samlpintectomy group(B ,43 cases) and the medication conservative treatment group (C ,156 cases) .The hospitalization days ,HCG negative-conversion time ,cure rate ,re-pregnancy outcome ,pregnancy during 1-year follow-up were com-pared between the group A and C .In group B ,43 cases of tubal pregnancy and accomplishing fertility were firstly performed the tubal linear incision in the pregnant site ,then the biopsy was conducted after stopping bleeding and finally the salpingectomy in af-fected side was performed .The tubal electric injury degree by the unipolar or bipolar electrocoagulation and the pathological changes under light microscope were observed .Results The hospitalization days ,symptom relief rate ,HCG negative-conversion time ,cure rate and re-pregnancy outcome had statistical differences between the group A and C (P<0 .05) .Conclusion The tubal conserva-tive surgery has short hospitalization time ,high symptom relief rate ,high cure rate and few complications .The pathological observa-tion shows the localized electrocoagulation injury .The pregnancy rate after surgery is high .

ObjectiveTo investigate the therapeutic effectiveness of defibrase in treating penumbra and reperfusion.MethodsIntraluminal suture method was used to develope reversible middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO). Rats were subjected to MCAO 3 hours followed by reperfusion for 3, 6, 24, 72 hours, and to MCAO 6 hours followed by reperfusion for 3, 6, 24 hours. The treatment groups rats were injected intravenously defibrase at 0.5 hour before reperfusion. Meanwhile, the control group received normal saline. Clinically Neurological Deficits Scale were evaluated every day. Infarction volume was measured by using 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining. Pathologic change were examined microscopically in HE stained sections.ResultsThere were significant difference at treatment groups of reperfusion 3 hours after MCAO.Infarction volume and Clinically Neurological Deficits Scale was significant reduced as control group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences at treatment groups of reperfusion 6 hours after MCAO (P>0.05). Cerebral hemorrhage wasn't increased in defibrase treatment group.ConclusionsDefibrase was effective on Clinically Neurological Deficits of rats in reperfusion 3 hours after MCAO.

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1993;0(03):-
Objective To study the clinical and imaging features of paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis (PLE). Methods The clinical, latoratorial and imaging information of two patients with clinically diagnosed PLE associated with invasive thymoma or lung cancer are reported. Results Two cases had typical findings in clinical symptoms ( severe neuropsychological deficits, disorientation, memory impairment and seizures) and MRI showed ( abnormal high-signal intensity in hippocampal formations and temporal lobe on T2-weighted imagings) , One patient was investigated by cerebral 18 F-fluoro-2-deoxy-D- glucose- positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) , and highly significant focal hypermetabolism in bilateral temporal and other areas was found. Conclusion The clinical and imaging examination are the improtant method for the diagnosis of PLE.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the changes in non-linear dynamics properties of EEG and the application of real-time monitoring of non-linear indexes during the course of general anesthesia. Methods EEG was recorded in 65 patients undergoing operations. They were randomly divided into five groups: isoflurane, sevoflurane, desflurane (n=15, respectively), propofol 8mg/(kg?h) and propofol 10mg/(kg?h) (n=10, respectively). The EEG derived parameters correlation dimension (D 2 ) and approximate entropy (ApEn) non-linear indexes were calculated simultaneously during the whole operation, including the time of entering the operation room, anesthetic induction, intraoperation, recovery, and regaining consciousness. Results At the time of entering the operation room, their D 2 and ApEn nonlinear indexes appeared to be highest. Both the indexes decreased swiftly during anesthetic induction, and they dropped to lower values and leveled off during the intra-operation period. During recovery period, both of them rose gradually and returned to a high level in the post-operation awaking period. Conclusions Changes in the depth of anesthesia could be real-timely monitored and precisely measured with non-linear indexes of EEG. Non-linear dynamic analysis might provide us with more information on consciousness during general anesthesia
