Objective To investigate the telephone information-memory-concentration test (TIMCT) in evaluating the cognitive function of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)after radiotherapy. Methods The cognitive function were evaluated by TIMCT and mini mental state examination (MMSE) in 2 weeks for 30 normal persons and 90 NPC patients. And the 90 NPC patients were divided into the 3 months, 2 years and 5 years after radiotherapy groups. All patients were carried out firstly face to face interview and telephone interview 1 time after 2 weeks. Results The correlation coefficient of all groups between TIMCT(telephone) and TIMCT (face to face) were bigger (R = 0.850) when MMSE wasn't control variable. And the correlation coefficients between TIMCT (telephone) and TIMCT (face to face) were lower (R = 0.366) when MMSE was control variable. As for examining time was classification factor, TIMCT (telephone) and TIMCT (face to face) were analyzed by partial correlation analysis. Only normal group was correlated with group of 3 months after radiotherapy and group of 2 years after radiotherapy wasn't correlated with group of 5 years after radiotherapy (R = 0.447,0.970,0.200 and 0.062). In addition, the difference plot of TIMCT(telephone) and TIMCT (face to face) indicated that telephone was consistent with face to face interview (MMSE≥28). Both telephone and face to face interview reflected the cognitive function downtrend of rescareh objects. Conclusions TIMCT (telephone), TIMCT(face to face) and MMSE (face to face) can reflect cognitive function downterend of patients with NPC after radiotherapy. But TIMCT(telephone) used in clinical screening cognitive function impairment of patients with NPC after radiotherapy should be improved further.

Objective To detect the expression of NF‐κB ,MCP‐1 in the endometrial carcinoma and their significance .Methods The expression of NF‐κB ,MCP‐1 in 52 cases of patients with endometrial carcinoma selected from January 2003 to December 2013 , and in 16 cases of endometrial atypical hyperplasia and 19 cases of proliferative endometrial were detected by immunohistochemistry assay .The relationship and correlation between clinical pathological characteristics was analyzed .Results The expressions of NF‐κB ,MCP‐1 proteins were significantly higher in the endometrial carcinoma than those of the endometrial atypical hyperplasia and proliferative endometrial (P<0 .05) .The expressions of NF‐κB and MCP‐1 were related with histological grade and myometrial in‐vasion (P<0 .05) ,but independent of clinical stage and lymph node metastasis (P>0 .05) .The expressions of these two proteins were positively correlated(r=0 .895 ,P<0 .05) .Conclusion NF‐κB ,MCP‐1 may participate in the progress of endometrial carcino‐ma .

[Abstract ] Objective To understand the identification and in vitro antifungal susceptibility of Penicillium marneffei(PM)in yeast phase,and guide clinic antifungal application.Methods Strains isolated from blood and bone marrow of 23 patients infected with PM in a hospital between 2009 and 2016 were collected,colony morpholo-gy of PM in yeast phase was observed,susceptibility to itraconazole,voriconazole,amphotericin B,and fluconazole were detected with E-test method.Results Colony morphology of PM were as follows:direct microscopic examina-tion of Wright’s staining of tissue specimens found visible oval or round spore with apparent septum,and mainly lo-cated in macrophage;Gram staining of blood culture specimens found that strains were with bulbous and slightly curved ends,occasionally branched and with septum. PM was dimorphic fungi,presented mycelium at 28° C,pro-duced red pigment and diffused into medium;PM presented yeast form at 35° C,there were typical colony morpholo-gy. Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs)of itraconazole,voriconazole,amphotericin B,and fluconazole to PM in yeast phase were 0.002-0.016,0.012-0.125,0.002-0.500,and 0.500-16.000μg/mL respectively. Conclusion Typical colony morphology and fungal spore of PM in bone marrow and peripheral blood are important features for identification. PM is most susceptible to itraconazole,followed by voriconazole and amphotericin B, while fluconazole is less susceptible.

Objective To explore the effects of impaired glucose metabolism and impaired blood lipoprotein metabolism on heart rate variability(HRV) in aged male hypertension patients and to have an insight into the correlation between the years of impaired glucose metabolism and the patients’ HRV. Methods 120 male subjects were divided into three groups: simple hypertension patients (group A, 40 people), hypertension patients with diabetes mellitus (group B, 40 people), and hypertension patients with diabetes mellitus and impaired blood lipoprotein metabolism (group C, 40 people). All subjects had 24h recordings of ECG. The data of HRV time domain were collected and analyzed to gain an insight into the effects of the impaired glucose metabolism and impaired blood lipoprotein metabolism on patients’ HRV. AIM:To investigate the effect of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP)transfection into c-kitpos cardiac stem cells (c-kit+CSCs) on the cell viability.METHODS: Under the sterile condition, the auricles of SD rats were taken out , and then c-kit +CSCs were collected through enzyme digestion and immunomagnetic bead separation (MACS).The cells were identified by flow cytometry .c-kit +CSCs were transfected with enhanced green fluorescent pro-tein CGRP lentiviral vector ( Lv-EGFP-CGRP) or enhanced green fluorescent protein lentiviral vector ( Lv-EGFP).The cells were randomly divided into Lv-EGFP-CGRP-CSCs group , Lv-EGFP-CSCs group and CSCs group .The transfection was observed under the fluorescence microscope .The transfection efficiency was detected by flow cytometry .The CGRP protein secretion in the cell culture supernatants was detected by ELISA .The viability of c-kit+CSCs transfected with Lv-EGFP-CGRP or Lv-EGFP was measured by CCK-8 assay.RESULTS:c-kit+CSCs were isolated and cultured successfully .The expression positive rate of c-kit was 91.0%and the expression positive rates of CD 45 and CD34 were 4.5% and 4.0%, respectively.After transfected with lentivirus for 48 h, the stable fluorescence in c-kit +CSCs was observed under fluores-cence microscope .The transfection efficiency were 80%when MOI was 20.The level of CGRP was significantly increased in Lv-ECFP-CGRP-CSCs group compared with Lv-EGFP-CSCs group and CSCs group (P<0.05).Meanwhile, transfection with lentiviral vector in each group did not affect the viability of c-kit+CSCs.CONCLUSION:Transfection of Lv-EGFP-CGRP into c-kit+CSCs was successful .The secretion of CGRP was found in the transfected c-kit+CSCs and the viability was not changed after transfection .CGRP-modified c-kit+CSCs may play a role in treating myocardial infarction .

Objective To investigate the effects of high flow hemodialysis (HFHD) on cardiac function in uremia patients. Methods A prospective randomized controlled study was conducted. Sixty patients who were diagnosed with uremia, taken maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) and 30 healthy controls admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Guiyang from December 2014 to June 2015 were enrolled. They were randomly divided into two groups:HFHD group (HFHD three times a week) and the routine hemodialysis group (HD group, HD three times a week), with 30 in each group. Patients in each group were received hemoperfusion and hemofiltration once a month. Before the treatment and 6 months after the treatment, venous blood from all the patients were collected for testing the brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), cardiac troponin T (cTnT) and the ultrasound cardiograph were done at the same period by a special person, the left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular end systolic diameter (LVESD), the left ventricular end diastolic volume (LVEDV), left ventricular end systolic volume (LVESV), left ventricular posterior wall thickness (LVPWT), interventricular septum thickness (IVST), early and late diastolic blood flow to the largest ratio (E/A), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular mass index (LVMI) were recorded. Results Compared with the health control group, BNP, cTnT, LVEDD, LVESD, LVESV, LVPWT, IVST were significantly increased, LVEDV were significantly lowered before treatment in the HD group and HFHD group. But no significant differences in the above indexes and E/A, LVEF, LVMI between two groups were found. Compared with the data before treatment, the BNP, LVPWT were significantly lowered after treatment in HD group [BNP (ng/L): 641.50±60.09 vs. 2676.20±454.30, LVPWT (mm): 10.57±1.16 vs. 12.57±1.41, both P < 0.05]. The BNP, LVPWT were significantly lowered in HFHD group as compared with HD group [BNP (ng/L): 253.10±48.77 vs. 641.50±60.09, LVPWT (mm): 9.29±1.08 vs. 10.57±1.16, both P < 0.05]; in addition, the cTnT, IVST, LVMI were significantly lowered after the treatment in HFHD group compared with those before treatment [cTnT (μg/L): 0.014±0.005 vs. 0.028±0.011, IVST (mm): 7.81±1.69 vs. 11.04±2.23, LVMI (g/m2): 149.10±15.77 vs. 158.70±17.25, all P < 0.05], and the LVEF were significantly increased in HFHD group as compared with those before treatment (0.574±0.068 vs. 0.528±0.082, P < 0.05). Conclusion HFHD has obvious advantages than the routine HD in improving cardiac function of uremia patients.

The objective of this study was to explore the effect of astragalus polysaccharide (APS) on sensitivity of leukemic cell line HL-60 to NK cell cytotoxicity and its mechanism. The cytotoxicities of NK cells against HL-60 cells were analyzed by LDH releasing assay at different effect-to-target cell ratios (E:T) before and after treated with APS. The gene expression of MHC class I chain-related (MICA) in HL-60 cells before and after APS treatment was assayed with RT-PCR. Protein expression of MICA in HL-60 cells was assayed by flow cytometry before and after treated by APS. The results showed that after treated with APS 15 mg/ml for 48 h, the cytotoxicities of NK cells against HL-60 cells enhanced at different effect-to-target (P < 0.05), and the gene and protein expressions in MICA of HL-60 cells were up-regulated (P < 0.05). It is concluded that the APS can obviously up-regulate the expression of MICA in HL-60 cells, thus enhance sensitivity of HL-60 cells to cytotoxicity of NK cells.

Objective To investigate the risk factors,severity and infarct site features and clinical characteristics of the elderly patients over 80 years with cute cerebral infarction.Methods One hundred and sixty-two patients with acute cerebral infarction in Red Cross Hospital of Guangzhou,The Forth Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Jinan University from January 2012 to May 2015 were enrolled and randomly divided into the elderly patients (≥ 80 years old) and the middle aged patients (＜ 60 years old).The risk factors,national institutes of health stroke scale (NIHSS) scores and Oxfordshire community stroke project (OCSP) criteria were compared between the two groups.Results Coronary artery disease,atrial fibrillation and NIHSS in the elderly patients (25％ (22/88),13.6％ (12/88),7.74 ± 4.986) were significantly higher than those of the middle aged group (12.2％ (9/47),4.1％ (3/74),5.04± 4.305),and the differences were significant (x2 =4.281,4.393,t =-3.649;P＜ 0.05 or P＜ 0.001).The logistic regression analysis finally showed that smoking,hyperlipemia,NIHSS scores and gender(male) were the independent risk factors(OR=3.851,3.609,1.100 and 2.670;P＜0.05).There were more LACI patients in the elderly group than he middle aged group ((40.9％,36/88) vs.(60.8％,45/74),x2 =6.369,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Compare to the middle aged patients,occurrence of the elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction is more severe,and the clinical features and risk factors have its particularity.Secondary prevention strategy should be emphasized on the control of different risk factors based on the patients' age.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of large platelets (P-LCR) and mean platelet volume (MPV) in acute cerebral infarction patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods 627 patients with acute cerebral infarction from January 2012 to May 2015 were enrolled and divided into type 2 diabetes and non-type 2 diabetes groups. The hemocytometer was used to detect the changes of P-LCR and MPV. Results The levels of P-LCR and MPV in the type 2 diabetes group were significantly higher than those of non-type 2 group (P <0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that there was a statistically significant association between P-LCR, hypertension and hyperlipemia and the cute cerebral infarction patients with type 2 diabetes. Conclusion The levels of P-LCR and MPV could be used as important indexes for prognosis and early diagnosis of acute cerebral infarction patients with type 2 diabetes.
