6.The compliance of schizophrenia patiemts in rehabilitation
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2001;10(3):194-196
Objective To research the compliance in the treatment rehabilitation of outpatients with schizophrenia Method The compliance of 415 cases of schizophrenia were evaluated by face to face interview, and their genaral populations data, antipsychotics use situation, factors affecting compliance were collected by comprehensive interview. The corretaled factors were also analysised.Achi-square statistic was used. Results Among all the enrolled cases,55.9% were fully compliant,23.6% partially compliant and 20.5% non-compliant.Factors affecting compliance were ages,dosage,famillies-environment relationship and personality. Conclusions It is necessary to increase compliance in the treatment rehabilitation of schizophrenia. In this way,the effect can be strengthened and the relapse in rehabilitation can be decreased.
8.Clinical Observation on Carpal Joint Sprain by Puncturing Juliao (GB 29)
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2010;08(3):196-198
Objective: To observe the effect of puncturing Juliao (GB 29) in treating carpal joint sprain. Methods: 99 cases were randomly divided into 3 groups, treatment, control 1 and control 2 groups, 33 cases for each group. Cases in treatment group were treated by acupuncture on Juliao (GB 29); patients in control 1 group were treated by acupuncture at Sanyinjiao (SP 6), and patients in control 2 group were treated by local application. The clinical effect was compared among three groups after the treatment. Results: The effective rate in the treatment group is 96.9%, which is over and above 84.8% in control 1 group and 75.8% in control 2 group (both P<0.05). Conclusion: Acupuncture at Juliao (GB 29) has a precise curative effect in treating sprain of carpal joint. It is more effective than acupuncture at Sanyinjiao (SP 6) and local application.
9.Comparison on the therapeutic efficacies of endoscopic submucosal dissection and surgical operation treatment of early gastrointestinal cancers
Journal of Chinese Physician 2013;(4):445-448
Objective To compare the therapeutic efficacies of endoscopic submucosal dissection and surgical operation treatment of early gastrointestinal cancers. Methods Sixty patients with early gastrointestinal cancer were divided into the endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) treatment group (n =33patients) and surgical operation treatment group (n =27 patients).During the treatment, success rate, survival time, recurrence and metastasis, nutritional status, adverse reaction and complication rate, hospital stay, and cost of treatment were observed for two groups. Results No statistical significances in success rate, survival time, recurrence and metastasis were found between two groups (P > 0.05).The rate of normal nutritional status value was 90.9% (30/33) in group ESD and 66.7% (18/27) in the surgical group with a statistically significant difference between two groups (P < 0.05).The rate of adverse reaction and complication was 9.09% (3/33) in group ESD and 59.2% (16/27) in the surgical group with a statistically significant difference between two groups (P < 0.05,P < 0.01).The average length of stay (14,81 ± 3.27) days and the average hospitalization expenses (10562.01 ± 3060.08) Yuan were occurred in the group ESD.The average length of hospital stay (19.22 ± 6.91)days and the average hospitalization expenses (16587.87 ±5664.50)Yuan were occurred in the surgical group. The average length of hospital stay in surgical group was longer 4,41 days than group ESD.The average hospitalization expense in surgical group was 6025.86 yuan more than the ESD group. Conclusions The curative effects of ESD treatment was similar to surgical operation, and there was a lower postoperative adverse reaction rate,a shorter time of hospitalization,a relatively low cost of treatment for ESD treatment compared to the surgical operation. Moreover,ESD treatment can especially keep the gastrointestinal integrity for patients, and the life quality rises significantly.
10.Association between Helicobacter pylori infection and glycosylated hemoglobin levels
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2013;12(8):643-645
The health check-up results of 11 514 subjects in 2011 at Beijing Hospital were retrospectively analyzed, including the results of 13C urea breath test for detection of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) and HbA1c test. The results showed that the prevalence rate of Hp infection was significantly higher in females (31.77%) than that of males (29.36%) (x2 =7.355,P <0.05) ; the highest prevalence was found in 35-60 y age group (31.17%).Hp positive rates in subjects with body mass index (BMI) ≥28kg/m2 and central obesity were 31.55% and 30.44%,respectively; there were no significant differences from those with normal weight and non central obesity.Subjects with positive Hp infection had higher levels of HbA1 c,compared to those with negative Hp infection (t =-2.276,P =0.01).In subjects with BMI ≥24 kg/m2 and central obesity,HbA1c level was higher in Hp positive subjects than that in Hp negative ones (P <0.05).Diabetes mellitus was positively associated with Hp infection (OR 1.282; 95% CI 0.941-1.799),particularly in obese patients (OR 1.459 ; 95 % CI 1.070-2.071).The results indicate that Hp may be involved in the impairment of glucose regulation, particularly in those with higher body mass index.
