BackgroundLaser peripheral iridotomy(LPI) can break the pupillary block,and is an effective method of treating acute primary angle closure (APAC).However,a part of APAC eyes may gradually develop a formation and extension of peripheral anterior synechia(PAS) and increased intraocular pressure(IOP) after LPI.ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between appositional angle closure and darkroom provocative test(DRPT) in the fellow eyes with APAC after LPI.Methods Fellow eyes of APAC without PAS after LPI were studied.Ultrasounic biomicroscopy(UBM) were performed in darkness to observe whether appositional angle closure occurred and compare the relationship between the quadrants with appositional angle closure and the results of DRPT.Results Fifty-four patients were included in the study.Appositional angle closure was observed in at least one quadrant in 20(37.0％ ) of the 54 fellow eyes with APAC after LPI.Fifty-one patients were given DRPT and positive result in 9 patients( 17.6％ ).According to the quadrants with appositional angle closure,there were 5 patients with DRPT positive results in 46 patients with appositional angle closure 0 to 2 quadrants,and 4 patients with DRPT positive results in 5 patients with appositional angle closure 3 to 4 quadrants ( P =0.003 ).Bivariate correlation analysis indicated a positive correlation between the value of the increased IOP in DRPT and the number of quadrants with appositional angle closure in darkness( r =0.397,P =0.004).ConclusionsA certain proportional fellow eyes of APAC appeared appositional angle closure in darkness and DRPT positive result after LPI.The more the quadrants of appositional angle closure after LPI,the greater the likelihood of a positive DRPT.It suggests that the APAC fellow eyes and attack eyes with the same anatomical configuration still have the possibility of angle closure after LPI,and need follow-up and treatment for a long time.

Objective To study the possibility of fetal cardiac rhabdomyoma diagnosed by ultrasonography,and the relationship between the fetal cardiac rhabdomyoma and family tuberous sclerosis. Methods High resolution ultrasonic equipment with fetal cardiac software was used. The main cross section of four chamber view was studied mainly. The location, the number of the tumor and the outflow tract of left and right ventricular cordis were scanned carefully, the maternal abdominal scan was performed as well. Results Five cases of fetal cardiac rhabdomyoma were found by routine prenatal ultrasonography, and were confirmed by autopsy. Among them, one case were associated with maternal tuberous sclerosis. Conclusions Fetal cardiac rhabdomyoma associated with tuberous sclerosis. Fetus with cardiac rhabdomyoma frequently die of cardiac failure; since the prognosis of the tuberous sclerosis with neural sclerosis was very poor, when the fetal cardiac rhabdomyoma was detected prenatally, the possibility of tuberous sclerosis should be considered, also relative examination must be performed to the mother to decrease the perinatal mortality.

Objective To evaluate the clinical curative effect and methods of external carotid artery perfusion treatment plus radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Methods Twenty two patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma diagnosed by nasopharyngoscopy, CT, MRI were treated by interventional chemotheraphy with riamycin(or epi-adriamycin), 5-fluorouracil and cisplatin (or carboplatin) and followed by radiotherapy. Objective To investigate the clinical value of the YSZ-1 uterine manipulator in total laparoscopic hysterectomy.Methods Total laparoscopic hysterectomy was employed in a total of 78 women by using the LigaSure,ultrasonic scalpel,and the YSZ-1 uterine manipulator.The anterior fornix was opened and the manipulator was placed on the lip of the cervix.Then the uterus was completely removed.Results The operation was completed smoothly in all the 78 patients.The operating time was 45~90 min(mean,63 min),and the intraoperative blood loss was 40~100 ml(mean,65 ml).No urinary tract injuries,vaginal bleeding,or other postoperative complications occurred.The length of postoperative hospital stay was 4~7 d(mean,5.3 d).Follow-up examinations in the 78 patients for 3~6 months(mean,4 months) showed that the vaginal wound normally healed up. Conclusions Use of the YSZ-1 uterine manipulator in total laparoscopic hysterectomy makes the procedure easier and safer.The YSZ-1 uterine manipulator is a useful laparoscopic instrument.

Objective:To Study the equity of Chinese health systems performance and provide evidence for strengthening health system.Methods:Based on WHO health systems performance evaluation framework,the provincial data of expanded pilots under the national health service investigation and relative concentration index (RCI) were used to study the inequality of Chinese health systems performance from regions,income and education,etc.Results:The RCI values were lower than 0.1 on health status and satisfaction dimensions.The RCI of financial risks protection was higher than 0.2,which was at a respective higher level.Conclusion:The health performance of people with lower education and wealth were fragility and these people usually with health shocks.Therefore,the national and regional government should pay more attention on vulnerable group and provide more healthcare management and security support.

Background and purpose:Epirubicin is one of the fi rst line chemotherapy drugs in the treatment of breast cancer, and liposome doxorubicin is a new antitumor drug that has been reported to have less cardiotoxicity and myelosuppression compared to free doxorubicin. Dentritic cells (DC) play important roles in tumor immunity. Our experiment investigated the impacts of epirubicin and liposome doxorubicin on different human breast cancer cell lines and dentritic cells, and evaluated their roles in the treatment of breast cancer. Methods:Human breast cancer cell lines, Bcap37 and MDA-MB-231, along with human dentritic cells isolated and induced into maturation, were cultured with epirubicin and liposome adriamycin at different concentrations (0, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, 10.0 ?g/ml), respectively. The inhibitory effects were detected by MTT method after 24, 48, 72 h. Results:Epirubicin and liposome adriamycin could inhibit the proliferation of Bcap37 cells, MDA-MB-231 cells, and human dentritic cells.
