Fu-Zheng Pei-Ben therapy, as a major therapeutic principle, has become the main guiding thought of cancer therapy currently. Through the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) history, Fu-Zheng Pei-Ben thera-py is one of the most important therapies . As early as the Spring and Autumn Period , the importance of vital qi has been recorded in the Huang-Di Nei-Jing. After that, TCM doctors have enriched the connotation and extension of the Fu-Zhe ng therapy . Until modern times , Professor Liu Jiaxiang applied Fu-Zhe ng therapy to the treatment of cancer . This paper explained the sources of Fu-Zhe ng cancer therapy through the analy-sis of its history in order to provide a reference to deepen the theoretical studies in the diagnosis and treat-ment of cancer in the future .

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2010;8(2):123-129
Qi as well as its ability to cure ailments can be released without needling by the application of magnetism.Qi-effects are based upon the magnetic force released by magnetic platelets fastened onto acupoints. This property supports and proves one of the definitions of qi which says, that qi is bio-electrical magnetism or qi is defined as any type of energy which is able to demonstrate power and strength. This energy can be electricity, magnetism, heat,or light.Furthermore,it is suggested to use magnet acupuncture parallel to needle acupuncture according to traditional Chinese body acupuncture rules scientifically controlled in order to carry out research on qi and qi-effects.Here it might even be possible to find a quality and even a parameter to measure the intensity of qi-effects,such as by simply measuring the possible change of the heart beat frequency (pulse frequency) before and after application of the needle or magnetic platelet. It is also possible that there is another parameter in existence which will be changed by the impact of qi and acupuncture which still needs to be detected.

Objective To study the possibility of fetal cardiac rhabdomyoma diagnosed by ultrasonography, and the relationship between the fetal cardiac rhabdomyoma and family tuberous sclerosis. Methods High resolution ultrasonic equipment with fetal cardiac software was used. The main cross section of four chamber view was studied mainly. The location, the number of the tumor and the outflow tract of left and right ventricular cordis were scanned carefully, the maternal abdominal scan was performed as well. Results Five cases of fetal cardiac rhabdomyoma were found by routine prenatal ultrasonography, and were confirmed by autopsy. Among them, one case were associated with maternal tuberous sclerosis. Conclusions Fetal cardiac rhabdomyoma associated with tuberous sclerosis. Fetus with cardiac rhabdomyoma frequently die of cardiac failure; since the prognosis of the tuberous sclerosis with neural sclerosis was very poor, when the fetal cardiac rhabdomyoma was detected prenatally, the possibility of tuberous sclerosis should be considered, also relative examination must be performed to the mother to decrease the perinatal mortality.

Background and purpose:Epirubicin is one of the fi rst line chemotherapy drugs in the treatment of breast cancer, and liposome doxorubicin is a new antitumor drug that has been reported to have less cardiotoxicity and myelosuppression compared to free doxorubicin. Dentritic cells (DC) play important roles in tumor immunity. Our experiment investigated the impacts of epirubicin and liposome doxorubicin on different human breast cancer cell lines and dentritic cells, and evaluated their roles in the treatment of breast cancer. Methods:Human breast cancer cell lines, Bcap37 and MDA-MB-231, along with human dentritic cells isolated and induced into maturation, were cultured with epirubicin and liposome adriamycin at different concentrations (0, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, 10.0 ?g/ml), respectively. The inhibitory effects were detected by MTT method after 24, 48, 72 h. Results:Epirubicin and liposome adriamycin could inhibit the proliferation of Bcap37 cells, MDA-MB-231 cells, and human dentritic cells. Liposome adriamycin exhibited a lighter inhibition on dentritic cells than on human breast cancer cell lines (Bcap37 and MDA- MB-231) (F=22.208, P

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(03):-
The action of BTHP on a-adrenoceptor was studied in anococcy-geus muscles, vas deferens and cell membrane of cerebral cortex of rats and aortic strips, saphenous vein of rabbit. BTHP produced parallel shifts to the right of dose-response curves for phenylephrine in rat anococcygeus muscle and rabbit aortic strips without change in the maximal responses. Their pA2 values were 5.8 and 5.86 respectively. BTHP was also a competitive antagonist for presynaptic and postsynaptic ?2-adrenoceptors on prostatic portion of rat vas deferens( pA2 against clonidine=5.2 ) and on rabbit saphenous vein ( pA2 against B-HT920=5.3 ) . BTHP decreased in dose-dependent manner 〔8H〕 prazosin and 〔3H〕 clonidine specific binding to ?1- and ?2- adrenoceptors on cell membrane of cerebral cortex in rats with IC50 of4 and 9.5 ?mol/L and with Ki ( apparent dissociation constant ) of 3.5 and 8.1?mol/L respectively, suggeating that BTHP has affinity for both ?1 and ?2- adrenoceptors of rat cerebrance.

10 mg?kg -1?d -1? 5 d. The inhibitory rate of ZD1694( 0.001- 1 000 mmol?L -1)on SGC-7901 cells were increased in concentration and time-dependent manner. The cell numbers in G_0-G_1 phase in SGC-7901 cells were raised by ZD1694 as well. CONCLUSION: ZD1694 can take obvious antitumor effects on S180-bearing mice. The antitumor rate of ZD1694 is in a dose-dependent manner, and it is higher when the total dosage is administered in one day than that the total dosage was divided into 5 consecutive days. ZD1694 can inhibit the growth of SGC-7901 cells and block the cells in G_1 phase in vitro.
