Objective To understand the evolution of health management research in China and 5-year development of Chinese Journal of Health Management.MethodsA total of 657 articles published in Chinese Journal of Health Management over the past 5 years were analyzed by using CiteSpace Ⅱ from the aspects of authors,organizations and fundings respectively.ResultsAbout1933authors and 625 organizations contributed to the publication of 657 articles.Every published article had 3 authors on average.Health management presentedin 24％articletitles.Fifty-four authorsshowed morethan 4 publications or a centrality of more than 0.HUANG Jian-shi,WU Liu-xin and ZENG Qiang showed higher productivity and centrality and cooperated well with BAI Shu-zhong,TIAN Jing-fa and HAN Jing.WANG Peiyu and DU Bing constituted their own collaboration team respectively.Authors with higher productivities were mainly from Institute of Aviation Medicine,Peking University Health Science Center,Beijing Physical Examination Center and Peking Union Medical College.Papers financially supported by national,provincial and other funding were increased over time.ConclusionOver half of publications presented in Chinese Journal of Health Management are directly related to health management,many of which are written by wellknown scholars.Taking Chinese Journal of Health Management as a platform,some research teams makeimportant contribution to promoting the development of health management.

The tuberous roots of Aconitum carmichaeli are largely used in traditional Chinese medicine and widely grown in Jiangyou, Sichuan, China. During the growth process, this medicinal plant releases a large amount of allelochemicals into soil, which retard the growth and development of near and late crops. Therefore, a pure culture experiment was thus carried out by seed soaking to study the allelopathic effects of extracts from tuberous roots of A. carmichaeli (ETR) on the seed germination and young seedling growth of Lolium perenne, Trifolium repens, and Medicago sativa, the late pasture grasses after cultivation of A. carmichaeli. The results showed that three pasture grasses varied significantly in seed germination and young seedling growth in response to ETR concentrations. Seed germination of M. sativa was stimulated by low ERT concentration (0.01 x g(-1)), while all of pasture grass seeds germinated poorly in solution with 1.00 g x L(-1). Seed soaking with 1.00 g x L(-1) also inhibited significantly the growth of pasture young seedlings, with M. sativa showing the highest seedling height reduction of 42.05% in seeding height, followed by T. repens (40.21%) and L. perenne with about 11%. Cultivation of L. perenne could thus be beneficial to increase whole land productivity in A. carmichaeli-pasture grass cropping systems. In addition, hydrolysis of protein, starch, and inositol phosphates was blocked and free amino acids, soluble sugars and phosphorus were decreased in seeds by seed soaking with ETR, which could be one of the reason for the inhibition of seed germination. There was a significant reduction in root vigor, nitrate reductase, and chlorophyll after the seed treatment with ETR, indicating the suppression of nutrient uptake, nitrate assimilation, and photosynthesis by allelopathic chemicals in ETR, which could lead to the slow growth rate of pasture grass seedlings.

Objective To compare the efficacy of weight loss,metformin and rosiglitazone in women with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).Methods A randomized controlled trial(RCT)was carried out in Peking Union Medical College Hospital(PUMCH),one hundred and six women with PCOS were assigned to three intervention groups:weight loss,weight loss and metformin,weight loss and rosiglitazone group.Patients were treated with weight loss(diet and exercise),weight loss and mefformin (500 mg three times daily),weight loss and rosiglitazone(4 mg once daily)for three months.Sixty patients completed treatments.Basal body temperature(BBT),total testosterone as well as fasting serum insulin levels and lipid were measured and compared in all patients before and after weight loss.Results No significant differences were found in the baseline characteristics among three groups.In weight loss group 51%(22/43)patients completed treatment,and 23%(5/22)patients resumed ovulation.In weight loss and mefformin group 58%(21/36)patients completed treatment,and 43%(9/21)patients resumed ovulation.In weight loss and rosiglitazone group 63%(17/27)patients completed treatment,and 59% (10/17)patients resumed ovulation.Ovulation rate was significantly higher in weight loss and rosiglitazone group than in weight loss group.There was no significant difference among three groups in body mass index (BMI),waist circumference,waist-hip ratio(WHR),sex hormone,serum fasting insulin and lipid level after treatment.Conclusion Weight loss,metformin and rosiglitazone all can improve ovulation each.

To investigate the influence of the difference enhancers on the transport mechanism of chlorogenic acid (CGA) across Caco-2 cells model, a RP-HPLC method was adopted to detect the concentrations of CGA. At the concentrations of 20 to 80 microg x mL(-1), the difference of absorption rate constants (K(a)) was not statistically significant. At the concentrations of 40 and 20 microg x mL(-1), the ratios of apparent permeability coefficients (P(app)) of the apical to basolateral and the basolateral to apical were 1.14 and 1.18, respectively. With the effect of enhancers K(a) and P(app) increased, the absorption half-life (T1/2) decreased. CGA passed through the Caco-2 cell membrane mainly by passive transport. It showed that monocarboxylic acid transporter (MCT) could be involved in the across membrane transport process of CGA. Borneol had no effect on the cell membrane transport processes. The order of increasing absorption of CGA caused by the enhancers was sodium lauryl sulphate > sodium taurocholate > carbomer.

To study the effect of sodium aescinate in inducing human breast cancer MCF-7 cells apoptosis and its possible mechanism. MTT assay was used to detect the inhibitory effect of sodium aescinate on the proliferation of MCF-7 cells. The morphological changes were observed under inverted microscope. DAPI nuclear staining was used to detect the changes in cell nucleus. Annexin V-FITC/PI flow cytometry was adopted to test the apoptosis rate. Changes in apoptosis-related proteins (PARP, cleaved caspase-8 and pro-caspase-3), cell survival-associated signal molecules (AKT and ERK) and their common upstream kinase SRC was detected by Western blotting. The result showed that after different concentrations of sodium aescinate were used to treat breast cancer MCF-7 cells, they inhibited the proliferation of MCF-7 cells in a dose-dependent manner, induced cell apoptosis (typical morphological changes in nucleus, significant increase in cell apoptosis rate). The expressions of cleaved PARP and caspase-8 increased, while the expression of pro-caspase-3 decreased, which further verified sodium aescinate's effect in inducing cell apoptosis. Sodium aescinate significantly inhibited the phosphorylation of cell survival-related signal molecules (AKT, ERK) and down-regulate the activation of their common up-stream kinase SRC. The findings indicated that sodium aescinate can block signals transiting to downstream molecules AKT, ERK, inhibit the proliferation of breast cancer cell MCF-7 cell apoptosis and induced cell apoptosis by suppressing the activation of SRC.

This article was aimed to explore the method of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) health maintenance knowledge base building. TCM health maintenance knowledge classification method was studied under the guidance of TCM health maintenance classification system to construct a special literature database to store TCM health maintenance knowledge. Based on TCM literature resources, TCM health maintenance knowledge service platform was designed and developed for the static display and dynamic query support of TCM health maintenance knowledge. The content of knowledge base will be accessed to the whole society. The results showed that the construction method can be a system arrangement and modern interpretation of TCM health maintenance knowledge, in order to support TCM health maintenance knowledge base and its update and service system. It was concluded that under the guidance of TCM theories, the construction of TCM health maintenance knowledge base will realize the health maintenance knowledge-sharing and service requirement of TCM.

Objective To explore the clinical characteristics of cardiac involvement in children with mitochondriopathies.Methods The clinical data of 23 children with mitochondriopathies were reviewed.The changes of electrocardiography,echocardiography and heart enzymes were analyzed.Results In 15 cases of mitochondrial encephalomyopathy,lactic acidosis,and stroke-like episode(MELAS syndrome),electrocardiography was performed on 9 cases,6 of them showed abnormal electrocardiographic findings,including right bundle branch block,ST-T change,Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome,et al.On echocardiographic examination in 9 MELAS syndrome ca-ses,only 1 case showed hypertrophy cardiomyopathy.Six cases had increased plasma creatine kinaseMB(CK-MB) mass and only one of 12 MELAS syndrome cases had increased cardiac troponin I(cTnI) level.In 8 cases of subacute necrotizing encephalomyopathy(Leigh syndrome),electrocardiography was performed on 5 cases,4 of them showed abnormal electrocardiographic findings,including sinus tachycardia,ST-T change and low voltage.Two cases showed normal electrocardiography.Three out of 6 cases with Leigh syndrome showed increased plasma CK-MB mass.The molecular genetic examinations were performed in 13 cases of MELAS syndrome and 6 cases of Leigh syndrome.The mitochondrial DNA nt 3243 A→G mutation was found in white blood cells of 9 MELAS syndrome cases,the mutation rate being 37%-60%.The mitochondrial DNA nt 8993 T→C mutation was found in white blood cells of 2 Leigh syndrome cases.Conclusion In children with mitochondriopathies,myocardiac involvement is comparatively common,and even cardiomyopathy can occur.

Based on the investigation and analysis of industry dynamics of health maintenance Applications (APP) of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM),the paper designs and develops health maintenance APP of TCM,and describes its architecture,operating principle,functions,innovativeness,applicability scope,etc.

Objective To investigate the expression of CXCR4 in cultured human dental pulp cells (HDPC) in vitro and the corresponding ligand SDF-1α level of HDPC supernatants stimulated by lipopolysaccharide(LPS)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),and to explore the role of SDF-1αon the proliferation and the migration of HDPC.Methods The expression of CXCR4 in HDPC was detected by immunocytochemistry technique and indirect immunofluorescence technique.The culture supernatants of HDPC were collected after HDPC had been simulated by LPS and TNF-α of difierent concentrations for 48h and then the SDF-1α level was assayed by quantitative sandwich ELISA.Meanwhile,the effects of recombinant human SDF-1α(rhSDF-1α)on the proliferation and the migration of HDPC at different concentrations were observed by MTT and Boyden Chamber Assay.Results CXCR4 was expressed in cytomembrane of HDPC and SDF-1α was secreted into their normal cell supematants with a concentration of(4513.55±962.92)ng/L. The secretion of SDF-1α was both significantly decreased by stimulation with LPS and TNF-α(P＜0.05).In addition,rhSDF-1α stimulated the HDPC proliferation at the concentrations of 50,100,200μg/L(P＜0.01)and increased the chemotactic migration of HDPC significantly after 9h's incubation with the concentrations of 50,100μg/L(P＜0.05).Conclusions SDF-1α accelerated the proliferation and the migration of HDPC which expressed CXCR4.SDF-1-CXCR4 axis may play a role in repair of pulp injury.

Objective To investigate clinical features, diagnosis, and treatment of refractory Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP) combined with thrombosis. Methods One case with refractory MPP associated with thrombosis was retrospectively analyzed with literature review. Results The patient presented with respiratory symptom at the onset, while melosalgia and decreased respiratory sound in left lung were occurred during anti-infection therapy. Thereafter, thrombosis of lower extremity veins and pulmonary embolism were confirmed by a series of examinations. Serum anti-phospholipid antibody was positive. Finally, the patient was treated with a combination of anticoagulation and immunosuppressive therapies. Conclusions The mechanism of refractory MPP combined with thrombosis may be associated with excessive inflammatory response and endothelial cells injury. The thrombosis complication should be suspected in patient of Mycoplasma pneumonia infection with positive anti-phospholipid antibody and low concentration of protein C and immunosuppressive therapy should be implemented promptly.
