2.Antihypertensives Used in Our Hospital from 2001 to 2004: Drug Use Evaluation
China Pharmacy 2005;0(23):-
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the status quo and the tendency of utilization of antihypertensives in our hospital. METHODS: The consumptions of antihypertensives from 2001 to 2004 were analyzed statistically with Microsoft Excel 2000. RESULTS: The use of antihypertensives assumed an increased tendency, of which, about 90% were included in the catalog of the Drugs of National Basic Hospitalization Insurance. Calcium antagonists, diuretics, ACEI and ?-receptor blocking agents were the basic clinical drugs. Usage of angiotensin;angiotensin Ⅱ receptor blocking agents increased to a large degree year by year. CONCLUSION: The utilization structure of antihypertensives in our hospital is basically reasonable. Developing compound antihypertensive that of excellent quality and reasonable price is of great significance in the management of hypertension and its complications.

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of a major depression animal model for old man es?tablished with orchidectomized(ORX) and subsequently olfactory bulbectomized(OBX) rat. Methods Healthy Sprague?Dawley male adult rats were randomly assigned to six groups with ten rats in each group:intact, sham?oper?ated, model, vehicle, fluoxetine plus testosterone propionate(Flu+TP) and amitriptyline plus testosterone propionate (Ami+TP) groups. ORX+OBX rat model was established. Therapy of Flu or Ami (10 mg/kg,i.p.) combined with TP(25 mg/kg,s.c.) was administered. Behavioral changes of rats in each group were detected. Results Open field test: The number of rat crossing lattices in model((124.50±14.25)lattices) or vehicle group( 118.70± 10.27) was significantly larger than those of intact(38.20±6.30),sham?operated(33.70±9.58),Flu+TP (34.00± 9.82) and Ami+TP group (35.20±12.54). The rearing number of model or vehicle group was also significantly larger than those of intact, sham?operated,Flu+TP and Ami+TP group.Statistical differences in the above corre?sponding comparisons of open field test existed (P<0.01). Forced swimming test: The immobility time of model ((131.70±32.44)s) or vehicle group ((135.10±34.01)s) was significantly longer than those of intact((66.60± 12.06)s),sham?operated((62.00±13.38)s),Flu+TP((59.60±8.89)s) and Ami+TP group ((64.80±10.78)s). There were statistical differences in the above corresponding comparisons (P<0.01). Morris water maze test: The escape latency of model((62.00±26.05)s) or vehicle group ((60.52±27.00)s) was significantly longer than those of intact((24.19±9.12)s),sham?operated((21.06±8.13)s),Flu+TP((22.88±8.01)s) and Ami+TP group ((27.04±10.11)s);while the time rat swimming in the quadrant originally put a platform of model or vehicle group was significantly shorter than those of intact, sham?operated,Flu+TP and Ami+TP group. There were statisti?cal differences in the above corresponding comparisons of Morris water maze test (P<0. 01, P<0. 05 ) . Conclusion The above data demonstrates that ORX+OBX rat model is both repeatability and reliability, and can be a major depression animal model of old man for future researches.

Journal of Experimental Hematology 2011;19(5):1097-1101
Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), a potent chemotactic and mitogenic factor, is involved in the regulation of hematopoiesis and platelet production. Our studies demonstrate the presence of functional PDGF receptors (PDGFR) on human megakaryocytes/platelets and CD34(+) cells, and their ability to mediate a mitogenic response. PDGF promotes the ex vivo expansion of human hematopoietic stem (CD34(+)) and progenitor (CD41(+)) cells. More significantly, PDGF enhances the engraftment of human CD45(+) cells and their myeloid subsets (CD33(+), CD14(+) cells) in NOD/SCID mice. PDGF also stimulates in vitro megakaryocytopoiesis via PDGFR and/or the indirect effect on bone marrow microenvironment to produce TPO and other cytokines. It also shows a direct stimulatory effect of PDGF on c-Fos, GATA-1 and NF-E2 expressions in megakaryocytes. We speculate that these transcription factors may be involved in the signal transduction of PDGF on the regulation of megakaryocytopoiesis. PDGF also enhances platelet recovery in mouse model with radiation-induced thrombocytopenia. This radioprotective effect is likely to be mediated via PDGFR with subsequent activation of the PI3K/Akt pathway. It provides a possible explanation that blockage of PDGFR may reduce thrombopoiesis and play a role in imatinib mesylate-induced thrombocytopenia.

Cancer Research and Clinic 2016;28(10):716-720
Radiotherapy (RT) is the primary treatment for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). In order to achieve tumor control, nearby normal brain tissues, especially the temporal lobes, often receive unnecessary radiation. Patients with NPC treated by RT may occur cognitive impairments, which significantly compromises the quality of life. The symptoms of cognitive dysfunction induced by RT in NPC patients can exhibit at the early or later stage after RT, which may be related to temporal lobe injury or brain damage induced by radiation. However, the relationship between the cognitive declines induced by RT and the radiation dose or volume of the temporal lobe (or the dosimetry to treat NPC) has not yet been definitively established, and few reports have focused on cognitive impairment following intensity modulated RT. Therefore, this paper will review the progress in radiation-induced cognitive decline of NPC patients in order to provide the basis for preventing side effects of RT and improving the quality of life after RT.

Objective:To survey and evaluate the situation of present clinic use of antidiabetic drugs, estimate their consuming trend and discuss the rational methods in applying antidiabetic drugs.Method:The drug purchasing data during the years of 2002 to 2006 in hospitals were compared, and statistically analyzed with Microsoft Excel.Result:Ac- counting approximately 52%-72% in total antidiabetie DDDS,sulfonylureas and bigunides were most commonly used.In- sulin and?-Glycosidase inhibitors also took more than 25%-35% share in total DDDs.Some other new drugs and tradi- tional Chinese medicine were less than 10% in total DDDs.The first line of antidiabetic drugs included mefformin,gliclas- ide, acarbose, glipizide and insulin. Conclusion:Clinical application of antidiabetic drugs was reasonable in Nanjing dis- trict. The cost of diabetes patient is the main factor which will influence the application of antidiabetic drugs normatively and continuously.
9.Elementary study of mobilization and harvesting after autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation on myasthenia gravis
Journal of Clinical Neurology 1993;0(03):-
Objective To explore the clinical effect of mobilization and harvesting by autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (APBSCT) on treating myasthenia gravis (MG).Methods One patient with MG was enrolled in the study. Autologous peripheral blood stem cells(APBSCs) were mobilized with cyclophosphamide(CTX) and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF). PBSCs harvesting was performed by continuous flow leukapheresis using a CS-3000 plus blood separator.CD +_ 34 cells were analyzed by flow cytometer and granulocyte-macrophage progenitors (GM-CFU) was detected by semisolid methlcelluose after mobilization. The clinical effect was evaluated by a relative score system. Results The numbers of mononuclear cells (MNC),GM-CFU and CD +_ 34 cells were 8.08?10 8/kg,7?10 5/kg or 81/10 5/MNC and 1.09?10 6/kg after mobilization in graft respectively. The clinic relative score of the patient was 7/8.Conclusion CTX and G-CSF can mobilize effectively and provide enough peripheral blood stem cells for transplantation in treating MG.
