Objective To know the influence of psychological nursing on depression of patients with hypokalemic periodic paralysis. Methods Evaluated the mental condition by SDS for 46 patients with hypokalemic periodic paralysis and 30 health control, and then carried out certain psychological nursing measures for patients.Divided 46 patients with hypokalemic periodic paralysis into the intervention group and the control group randomly. There were 23 cases in each group.Psychological nursing cares and routine cares was used in the two group respectively, and then compared the incidence rate of depression in the two groups. Results The negative emotion in the patients with hypokalemie periodic paralysis was significant more obvious than that of in the health control. After the psychological nursing intervention, the SDS scores in the intervention group was released significantly than themselves before the intervention and the scores in the control group in the same time. Conclusions Depression was a common phenomenon in patients with hypokalemic periodic paralysis, characteristic psychological nursing intervention can effective release this kind of negative emotion, and then improve their rehabilitation.

Background EyeLink 2000 high speed video eye tracker has been used in ophthalmology to evaluate the ocular movement ability. Its systemic precision depends on the performance of the eye tracker, and it is also an essential parameter for the evaluation of the data quality. Therefore, the impact of infrared intensity should be illustrated. Objective This study was to assess the systemic precision of the video eye tracker and evaluate the impact of infrared intensity on the result. Methods The EyeLink 2000 high speed video eye tracker and a pair of artificial eyes were used in this study.Firstly the artificial eyes were fixed to the corresponding position as the real human eyes. Each session of recording was undertaken under the different infrared intensities (100% , 75% and 50%).The sampling frequency of binocular recording was set as 1 000 Hz.Each session was sequentially recorded for 60 seconds. The systemic precision was calculated as the root mean square (RMS) of angular distances between successive data points. The RMS values under the different infrared intensities were compared. Results The highest RMS values were (0.005 01 ± 0.000 20) ° under the 100% infrared intensity. As the decline of infrared intensities ,RMS values were gradually raised, showing a significant difference among different infrared intensity groups (F =3 791.447, P<0.01).The differences were also significant between different groups (all at P<0.05).Conclusions EyeLink 2 000 video eye tracker has good system precision. The infrared intensity influence the system precision of the video eye tracker.

Objective To explore systematic intervention methods on life quality of heroin addicts during convalescence stage of drug detoxification period in order to supply evidence for effective nursing intervention. Methods 156 patients accorded with standard were selected by subjective sampling method and were grouped randomly. 78 patients in the control group were given routine nursing,78 patients in the intervention group received systematic intervention including psychological and behavioral intervention and the therapy of physical symptoms. QOLDA was used to evaluate the life quality of all patients. Results The scores of the intervention group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the intervention group had a higher body mass index (BMI). Conclusions Systematic nursing intervention can perfect the physiological function, mental function and social function, reduce the withdrawal syndrome and adverse effect of heroin addicts, and improve their quality of life.

Objective To investigate the correlation between orexin A and the serine proteinase inhibitor vaspin in obese rats with insulin resis?tance(IR)induced by high?fat diet and elaborate the possible action mechanism of orexin involvement in fat metabolism in IR pathological process. Methods A total of 75 4?week?old male Sprague?Dawley rats were randomly divided into the normal dietary group(NC group,n=20)and the high?fat dietary group(HF group,n=55)to establish the model of obese rats with IR,the euglycemic insulin clamp technique was used to determine re?lated indicators of insulin resistance and lipid metabolism. The rats were treated with orexin A(1×10-8?1×10-6 mol/L)by hypodermic injection. The serum levels of orexin A and vaspin in rats were detected with enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Results After 6 weeks of high?fat diet, the se?rum glucose, insulin,TC,TG and LDL?C were increased significantly in HF group than in NC group, while GIR60~120 in obese rats was decreased significantly[(16.31 ± 1.54)vs(30.22 ± 2.76)mg/(kg · min),P<0.05]. The serum vaspin level was increased 177.08%in HF group compared with NC group(P<0.05). With hypodermic injection of orexin A(1×10-8 mol/L,1×10-7 mol/L and 1×10-6 mol/L),the levels of serum vaspin in?creased 25.00%,68.75%,and 120.83%in NC group and increased 7.52%,24.06%,and 40.60%in HF group. There was a positive correlation be?tween vaspin and orexin A,glucose, insulin,TC,TG,and LDL?C(r1=0.482,P1=0.02,r2=0.515,P2=0.02,r3=0.303,P3=0.04,r4=0.388,P4=0.03,r5=0.255,P5=0.04,r6=0.253,P6=0.04)and a negative correlation between vaspin and HDL?C(r=-0.226,P=0.04)in obese rats with IR. Conclusion High?fat diet can induce insulin resistance and obesity in rats, and orexin A is closely correlated to vaspin in obese rats with insu?lin resistance. Orexin A increases serum vaspin expression and thus involves in onset of insulin resistance in obese rats.

Crohn’s disease( CD)is a gastrointestinal progressive granulomatous disease with unknown etiology. It is characterized as active stage alternating with remission stage,long-term course with many complications, sometimes needing surgery and having the tendency of relapse in patient ’s whole life. Therefore,it is important to define an effective therapeutic endpoint to ameliorate the natural course of CD. This article reviewed the progress in defining treatment endpoint of CD.

Objective To investigate the effects of environmental endocrine disruptors-phytoestrogen soybean isoflavone on serum glucose and lipid in rats with orchiectomy. Methods Fifty-four healthy clean male Wistar rats aged 7 weeks were randomly divided into 6 groups,9 in each group, according to their weight and named as the groups of SHAM,ORCH,L-SI,M-SI,H-SI and EC.The rats were injected intraperitoneally with 1.5% sodium pentobarbital according to 40 mg/kg,and they were either shamoperated or orchiectomized. The rats were fed on high fat diet for 4 weeks. There was 1,3,9 g soybean isoflavone and 0.45 mg estrobene per kilogram high fat diet in L-SI,M-SI,H-SI and EC respectively. At the 2nd and 4th week, serum insulin, fasting blood glucose and lipid (TG,TC,HDL and LDL) were detected. Results The weights of rats with orchiectomy was significantly decreased compared with sham-operated rats, and compared with the EC group, the weights of other groups'rats were significantly higher. The weight was decreased along with the increase of the dose of soy isoflavone. At the end of 4 weeks,SIF significantly decreased serum glucose compared with ORCH,and the insulin level was significantly increased in M-SI and H-SI group.SIF and estrogen could significantly decrease TC,but they did not have obvious effect on LDL.SIF could not improve HDL level in rats with orchiectomy.Even though there was no statistic difference, the TG levels of SIF groups were deceased. Conclusion SIF can decrease serum glucose level via raising insulin level in rats with orchiectomy.SIF can decrease serum TC level significantly and regulate TG level while there is no influence on HDL and LDL.

Objective To establish a method for determining paraquat in the serum by ultraviolet spectrophotometry and present a quantitative index for paraquat poisoning salvage. Methods The sample was deproteinizated by 20% trichloracetic acid(TAC). 50 ?l microcell was used, the detection wavelength was 257 nm. Results The linearity was within 0.05~50 ?g/ml, r=0.999 9. The average recovery rates were 90.0%-102.4% and RSD=3.9%(n=4), the lowest detection limit was 0.01 ?g/ml. Conclusion The method is simple, rapid, precise and suitable for the determination of paraquat in the serum.
