ObjectiveTo develop three animal models to mimic muscle tremors of Parkinson's disease and observe effects of Chinese herb compounds Jian-Xing on these models.MethodsPure muscle tremor mice models were developed by single intraperitoneal injection of arecoline or oxotremorine. The mitochondria damaged model was developed by intraperitoneal injection of MPTP(1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine) 20mg/kg for 8 days. Duration time of tremoring was recorded. The climbing time and spontaneous movements of MPTP mice were recorded. HPLC was used to detect the content of dopamine and it's metabolites in MPTP mice.ResultsAfter injection of oxotremorine or arecoline, model mice exhibited significant tremoring, duration time of tremor of mice in Jian-Xing group shortened significantly. As to MPTP model mice, climbing time of model mice prolonged, times of spontaneous movements of model mice decreased and the content of dopamine in striaturn decreased compared with control group. Climbing time of mice in Jian-Xing group shortened, spontaneous movements increased and content of dopamine increased distinctively. ConclusionOxotremorine, arecoline and MPTP all can produce tremor animal models. Chinese herb compounds Jian-Xing can shorten the duration time of tremor. As to MPTP model, Jian-Xing can shorten the climbing time of model mice, increase the spontaneous movements and increase the content of dopamine in striaturn.

NGOs play an important role in global health governance, and have become the key partners of World Health Organization ( WHO) , European and American governments. The goal of the sustainable development of the United Nations also proposes to strengthen NGOs as global health governance partners. Taking WHO, the Unit-ed States and Britain as case examples, this study reviewed the NGOs positioning and cooperation in their global health strategies. The results found that these entities explicitly define the roles of NGOs and strengthen cooperation in their global health strategies to expand their influence in the field of global health. Results also found that WHO, US and UK have given NGOs a clear positioning, that is, they have strengthened the mutual cooperation ( partner-ships) in the same way of expanding their influence in the field of global health for China’s global health strategy de-velopment referred to those NGOs. Therefore, China should incorporate NGOs into the global health strategy, estab-lish NGOs management and cooperation mechanism and define their roles and make it an important complement to global health. China should also strictly select international NGOs to cooperate with and strive to nurture and support Chinese NGOs to participate in global health programs set by the Government, formulate the cooperation list and neg-ative list for NGOs, and at the same time strengthen the supervision and audit to avoid possible risks of NGOs.

Objective To explore the clinical features, diagnosi s and prognosis of incontinentia pigmenti. Methods Analyzing and summarizing the clinical characteristic, diagnosis and prognosis of neonatal incontinentia pigmenti in 6 neonatal infants that were hospita- lized in our department during the period from January 1 998 to December 2003 were studied, and some relevant literature were reviewed. Results 1.Three of 6 infants were male which was unusual;2.Four infants had typical skin lesions at birth and 1 case at 6 days old.Four cases had typical 3 stages o f skin lesions including the erythematous and vesicular inflammatory stage, verr ucous lesions and hyperkeratosis stage, macular hyperpigmentation stage, but the re was overlap;3.Four infants were complicated by central nervous system involv ement (two cases presented mental retardation,2 infants were temporary damage). Two cases were complicated by ocular manifestations ( one case had optical nerve atrophy and blind in left eye,the other had severe bilateral retinal lesions); 4.On specific examination 5 infants were diagnosed by skin biopsy.Gene analysis was made in 1 case, but we didn′t find the mutations of NEMO. Conclusions Incontinentia pigmenti is a rare X-linked dominant multisystem disease. It may be misdiagnosed in the initial stages.Except typical clinical features, skin biops y and gene analysis are main evidence for diagnosis.Early detection and interven tion are important for prognosis.
