Myeloid-derived suppressor cells are a heterogeneous population of early myeloid progenitors,immature granulocytes,macrophages,and dendritic cells at different stages of differentiation.These cells have the capacity to suppress both the innate immunity response mediated by the cytotoxic natural killer cells and natural killer T cells,and the adaptive immune response mediated by CD4+ and CD8+ T cells.In addition,myeloid-derived suppressor cells have close links with macrophages,dendritic cells,regulate T cells and so on,and also play an important role in the process of tumor progression.

Objective:To investigate the clinical value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in differential diagnosis for benign and malignant lesions of solitary pulmonary nodules (SPN).Methods: 120 patients with SPN were enrolled in the retrospective analysis, and all of them underwent scan of MR including MRI, DCE-MR and diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) before their surgery. All of patients received detection of pathology or histopathological examination after their surgery, and the ADC values under different b values of dispersion sensitivity factor (300 s/mm2, 500 s/mm2 and 800 s/mm2) were compared.Results:Under the conditions both of 300 s/mm2 and 800 s/mm2, the differences of ADC value between benign nodule and malignant nodule were not statistically significant (t=1.195,P>0.05). And under the condition of 500 s/mm2, the ADC value of benign nodule was significantly higher than that of malignant nodule (t=4.313,P<0.05), and at this time, the sensitivity, specificity, rate of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis rate of the differential diagnosis for benign and malignant lesions of SPN by using MR were 85.71％, 74％, 14.9％ and 26％, respectively.Conclusion: MR examination has higher sensitivity in differential diagnosis for benign and malignant lesions of SPN, and it has a certain clinical value when it is used as early detecting method.

Objective To study the chemical constituents of marine sponge Craniella australiensis collected from the South China Sea.Methods Compounds were isolated and purified by column chromatography and their structures were identified based on spectral analyses and chemical evidence.Results Four compounds were isolated from the ethanol extract and identified as: ?-sitosterol(Ⅰ),3?,6?-stigmast-4-en-3,6-diol(Ⅱ),1,12-diazacyclodocosane-2,11-dione(Ⅲ),uracil(Ⅳ).Conclusion All these compounds were isolated from this sponge for the first time.

Natural killer T(NKT) cells are a heterogeneous group T cells that share properties of both natural killer cells and T cells,play an important role in tumor immunity.Related researches have confirmed that actived NKT cells can inhabit tumor progress,but activated NKT cells commonly become anergic for some unknown reasons after a short time.This article reviews researches on the possible mechanisms and solutions to NKT cells anergy.

Patients treated with radiotherapy (RT) might experience a large variation in normal tissues. Severe radiation damage in a minority of patients limits the doses that might be safe given to the majority. The possibility of predicting such radiation-induced damage would provide a better treatment schedule for the patients. Several predictive tests in peripheral blood lymphocytes such as initial DNA damage, radiation-induced apoptosis and genetic variation have been proposed to know the individual sensitivity of patients to the radiotherapy schedules.
