Abundant experiences have already been accumulated in treatment of stroke with acupuncture. Development of rehabilitation theory also brings unprecedented opportunity and challenge to acupuncture. Combined with the modern rehabilitation theory and practice, it is very helpful to deepen the understanding on treatment of acupuncture for cerebral apoplexy and enhance the therapeutic effect in clinic by studying the mechanism of acupuncture treatment, opportunity of intervention, selection of acupoints, needling manipulations and quantity of stimulations etc. Through analysis on the necessity and the way of combination of acupuncture and modern rehabilitation, it is concluded that rehabilitation evaluation, rehabilitation phases and obstacle analysis should be taken as references by acupuncturists to reinforce the therapeutic effect and creditability of acupuncture treatment on cerebral apoplexy.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2014;(9):932-935
Objective Patients with severe acute pancreatitis ( SAP) always suffer decrease in gastrointestinal motility , even gastrointestinal failure. The article aimed to investigate the changes of vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) in the myenteric plexus of the gastric antrum in rats with severe acute pancreatitis ( SAP) complicated by gastrointestinal dysmotility . Methods Twenty Sprague Dawley rats were randomly allocated into two groups:control group and SAP group .Acute pancreatitis was induced by intraductal infu-sion of 5%sodium taurodeoxycholate .24 h after operation , records were made on pathological evaluation of pancreatic lesion , amylase, C-reactive protein ( CRP) , gastric emptying rate and the percentage of VIP neurons in the total neurons . Results Compared with the control group, the gastric emptying rate in the SAP group was significantly lower ([31.49 ±3.96]% vs [70.99 ±1.82]%).The score of pancreatic lesion, amylase, CRP and the percentage of VIP neurons was significantly higher ([14.63 ±1.06]score vs [1.60 ± 0.52]score, [2061.25 ±434.86]U/L vs [360.20 ±30.29]U/L, [140.10 ±17.07]μg/mL vs [35.71 ±6.43]μg/mL, [22.45 ± 4.10]%vs [10.72 ±1.92]%)(P<0.05). Conclusion Plas-ticity took place in VIP neurons in the myenteric plexus of gastric an-trum in rats with SAP complicated by gastrointestinal dysmotility , which was connected with neural mechanism underlying SAP compli-cated by gastrointestinal dysmotility .

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of Xuebijing injection on coagulation function and prognosis in patients with sepsis. METHODS:50 patients with sepsis were randomly divided into control group and observation group according to the hospi-talization sequence, with 25 cases in each group. Control group received conventional treatment, and observation group was addi-tionally given Xuebijing injection(50 ml added into 5% Glucose solution or 0.9% Sodium chloride solution 250 ml intravenously, bid) on the basis of conventional treatment. Treatment course lasted for 7 d. The coagulation function,APACHE Ⅱscore after 7 days of treatment and 28 d mortality were compared between 2 groups. RESULTS:After 7 d treatment, the coagulation indexes were improved significantly in 2 groups compared with before treatment, and the APACHEⅡscores were decreased significantly in both groups;the observation group were significantly better than the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). After followed up for 28 d,the mortality rate of 2 groups were 16% and 28%,there was no statistical significance (P>0.05). CON-CLUSIONS:Xuebijing injection can inhibit blood clotting activation, correct the coagulation disorders, and improve the sepsis se-verity.

ObjectiveTo observe the effects of XinShu parenteral solution (XSPS) on the activation of platelet, the activity of fibrinolysis system after intima denudation of rabbits.Methods20 male Japanese white rabbits (2.5±0.5)kg were randomly divided into the control group and XSPS group .The celiac arterial endothelium of all rabbits were denuded with balloon. Before the operation and 3d, 7d, after balloon denudation, vein blood samples were obtained from each group rabbits for measurement of α granule membrane protein of platelets(GMP-140), tissue-type plasminogen activator(t-PA) and plasminogen activator inhibitor-type Ⅰ(PAI-1).ResultsPlasma GMP-140 and PAI-1 activity obviously elevated after balloon injury, and there was a little elevation in plasma t-PA activity in control group. Activity of plasma GMP-140 in XSPS group remained bottom level after balloon injury, and there was a significant increase in plasma t-PA activity and a marked reduce in PAI-1 activity in XSPS group. There was a notable difference between group B and group C (P<0.05). ConclusionXSPS obviously inhibits platelet activation, and improves fibrinolysis activity after balloon injury.
