Objective:
To understand the relationship between mental health status and vision-related quality of life( VRQL ) of students with moderate and high myopia, and to provide basis for the optimization of VRQL.
Methods:
Using convenient sampling method, the 8-18 years old students with moderate and high myopia were selected from Sichuan, Chongqing and Zhejiang. The mental health status and VRQL of students with moderate and high myopia were evaluated with Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale and Quality of Life Scale for Ametropia. The multiple linear regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors for VRQL.
Results:
A total of 360 questionnaires were sent out and 354 were effectively recovered, with an effective rate of 98.33%. There were 116 ( 32.77% ) boys and 238 ( 67.23% ) girls; the median age was 16.65 years old. There were 211 ( 59.60% ) cases of moderate myopia and 143 (40.40%) cases of high myopia. There were 141 ( 39.83% ) found to be anxious and 176 ( 49.72% ) depressed. The median score of Quality of Life Scale for Ametropia was 64. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that sex ( β'= -0.179 ), diopter ( β'= 0.208 ), eyesight with glasses ( β'= -0.229 ) and anxiety ( β'= 0.439 ) were influencing factors for VRQL.
Conclusion
The mental health problems of the students with medium and high myopia are prominent; anxiety has a significant impact on the VRQL of the students.

Microbiology 1992;0(01):-
Three bacteria of decomposing lecithin and 4 bacteria of dissolving aptite were incubated for 4 weeks with sand media respectively. Phosphorus in the sand was extracted with distilled water and measured by different methods. It was found that the bacteria have a quite different ability to release P from the materials. Part of the P released became organic phosphorus compounds in microbial tissue. However, a large amount of the P was reserved in microbial cells in a form of phosphates. The direct measurement of P in the extract by molybdenum blue method would underestimate the capacity of the bacteria to release P from the materials. The correct approach was that the sand was fumigated with chloroform and then digested with acid before the measurement by molybdenum blue method.

ObjectiveTo explore the best measurement of waist circumference related with intra-abdominal fat volume evaluated by CT scan.MethodsHeight, weight, and hip circumference were measured among 147 subjects aged over 18 years old.Waist circumference was measured at 3 different levels:the upper brim of the iliac crest ( WC1 ),the midpoint between costal brim and iliac crest ( WC2 ),and the umbilicus ( WC3 ).The intra-abdominal fat volume was evaluated by CT scan.ResultsIntra-abdominal fat volume was significantly higher in men than in women [ ( 1 236.0±608.4 vs 931.0±665.0)cm3,P<0.01 ].Correlation analysis showed that WC1 ( r =0.634),WC2( r=0.677),and WC3 (r =0.712)were positively correlated with intra-abdominal fat volume ( all P<0.01 ).Partial correlation analysis adjusted by gender, weight,or body mass index showed that the correlation of intra-abdominal fat volume with WC3 ( r were 0.488 and 0.432) was better than that with WC1( r were 0.347 and 0.293 ) and WC2 ( r were 0.424 and 0.365 ).Multiple linear stepwise regression analysis demonstrated that WC2 and WC3 were independently associated with intra-abdominal fat volume and WC3 was the strongest impact factor (β =0.270,R2c =0.504,P<0.01 ).ConclusionsWaist circumference is a simple anthropometric measurement parameter reflecting the degree of intraabdominal fat accumulation. All three different measurements of waist circumference may reflect intra-abdominal fat volume, while waist circumference at umbilical level is the best among them.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic performance of diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) and its combination with DWI and proton MR spectroscopy (1H-MRS) in differentiating malignancy from benign breast lesions. Methods Fifty-three patients with 38 histopathologically confirmed malignant and 15 benign breast lesions were retrospectively studied. The patients were examined by breast MRI at 3.0 T prior to operation, including conventional T1WI, fat-suppression imaging, DWI, DKI and 1H-MRS. The shape and margin of breast lesions, and their corresponding mean values for ADC, mean kurtosis (MK) and mean diffusivity (MD) were determined by two blinded radiologists in consensus. The presence or absence of choline (Cho) peak was identified using LCModel software. Independent-samples t test or χ2 test was performed for the comparison of clinical characteristics, shape and margin of lesions, and imaging parameters between malignancy and benign lesions. ROC analysis was performed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of DKI, DWI and 1H-MRS alone or in combination, in comparison with the histopathologic findings. Results The onset age of breast malignancy was higher than that of benign ones, and the difference has statistical significant (P<0.05). Malignant lesions were most often seen in postmenopausal women, with unclear margin. There was no significant differences for body mass index (BMI), fiber type, the size and shape of lesions between benign lesions and malignancy (P>0.05). The mean ADC,MD and MK of benign lesions were(1.464 ± 0.348)× 10-3mm2/s,(1.726 ± 0.268)× 10-3mm2/s and(0.692 ± 0.227), the mean ADC,MD and MK of malignancy were(0.963 ± 0.170)× 10-3mm2/s,(1.158 ± 0.262)× 10-3mm2/s and(1.311 ± 0.218), respectively. Significant differences were obtained between benign and malignant lesions for all parameters (P<0.05).The area under the ROC curve (AUC) of ADC, MD and MK for differentiating malignancy from benign lesions was 0.913, 0.933 and 0.968, respectively. Taken the maximum Youden's index of MK (1.110) as the ROC optimal cut-off point, MK exhibited better diagnostic sensitivity, specificity and accuracy for distinguishing malignancy from benign lesions [89.5%(34/38),93.3%(14/15) and 90.6%(48/53), respectively], compared with MD and ADC. Multiparametric imaging with combination of DKI, DWI and 1H-MRS improves the diagnostic specificity (with the highest as 100.0%) but decreases the sensitivity (with the highest as 81.6% and lowest as 71.1% ), compare with the single parametric imaging. Conclusions MK generated from DKI enables differentiation of breast lesions with a higher diagnostic sensitivity and specificity than DWI and 1H-MRS. DKI combined with DWI and 1H-MRS increase specificity but decrease sensitivity for breast cancer characterization.

The epidemic of COVID-19 has brought great challenges to the global public health prevention and control system combined with clinical diagnosis and treatment system, and it makes the development of effective antiviral drugs an important task in current pharmaceutical research. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has played an important role in the prevention and control of COVID-19. Due to its numerous chemical components and various structural types, TCM becomes a natural library for searching for lead compounds against SARS-CoV-2. In this study, a novel dual-target surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor was developed for S protein receptor binding domain (SRBD) and angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) which are two key proteins in the process of SARS-CoV-2 invading cells according to characteristics of synergistic effects of multiple components and comprehensive regulation of multiple targets of TCM. The SPR biosensor was applied to screen and identify active components from six TCMs, and daidzin from Puerariae Lobatae Radix was identified to bind with SRBD and ACE2. The affinity constant (
