Objective To investigate the expressions of p53, bcl-2 and caspase-3 in elderly patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and the clinical significance thereof. Methods The clinical data and paraffin tissue samples of 117 patients with NSCLC confirmed by postoperative pathology were collected. The expressions of p53, bcl-2 and caspase-3 protein in tissues of NSCLC were detected by immunohistochemical method. The correlation between the expres-sions of p53, bcl-2 and caspase-3 protein was analyzed, and the relationship between the expressions of p53, bcl-2 and cas-pase-3 protein and clinicopathological characteristics was explored. Results The positive expression rates of p53, bcl-2 and caspase-3 were 42.74%(50/117), 38.46%(45/117) and 36.75%(43/117) in tissue samples of NSCLC. The positive ex-pression rate of p53 was significantly higher in patients with poor differentiation, central type, lymph node metastasis and squamous carcinoma. The positive expression rate of bcl-2 was significantly higher in patients with high differentiation and lymph node metastasis. The positive expression rate of caspase-3 was significantly higher in patients with high differentia-tion and no lymph node metastasis. There was a positive correlation between expressions of bcl-2 and caspase-3 in NSCLC (r=0.262, P=0.003). Conclusion The expressions of p53, bcl-2 and caspase-3 may play important roles in development and progression of advanced NSCLC in elderly patients, which may serve as predicators for prognosis.

Objective To study the clinical characteristics,microsurgical methods and results of treatment of the purely intrinsic third ventricular craniopharyngioma. Methods Eight cases of craniopharyngiomas located purely in intrinsic third ventricula which were treated microsurgically were analyzed retrospectively.Their clinical manifestations,endocrinal examination,CT and MRI images,choice of operactive approaches and post-operative complications were studied.Results Total tumor removals were achieved in 7 cases.and subtatol tumor removal in 1 case.Temporary central diabetes insipidus occurred in 5 cases,and perloperative water and elecctrolyte imbalance in 6 cases. No patient died in this series. Conclusion According to clinical characteristic of purely intrinsic third ventricular craniopharyngioma, microsurgical technique is a safe and effective method for treatment by a resonable surgical approaches.

AIM:To explore the potential correlation between the expression of phosphatase and tensin homology deleted on chromosome 10(PTEN) and RIF in IgA nephropathy.METHODS:Forty-seven patients diagnosed as primary IgA nephropathy by renal histology were involved.10 specimens from normal renal tissue of renal carcinoma served as control group.Tubulointerstitial lesion(TIL) was classified by using Katafuchi scale,including no TIL(group I),mild TIL(group II),moderate TIL(group III),severe TIL(group IV).The expressions of PTEN,TGF-?1,?-SMA and ColⅢ in renal tissue were detected by immunohistochemistry.PTEN mRNA was detected by in situ hybridization.RESULTS:Renal tissues from renal biopsy showed abundant expressions of PTEN and PTEN mRNA in endochylema of renal tubular epithelial cells,and negligible expression in glomeruli.With the progress of TIF in IgA nephropathy,the expressions of PTEN and PTEN mRNA decreased gradually(P

BACKGROUND:Conventional surgical repair can cause large traumas in patients with knee injuries, and patients often recover slowly after implant fixation, most of whom can appear to have poor recovery of knee function. OBJECTIVE: To explore the folow-up effect of arthroscopic double-steel wire clip fixation on tibial eminence avulsion fracture of anterior cruciate ligament. METHODS: A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 23 patients with tibial eminence avulsion fractures, who were given arthroscopic double-steel wire clip fixation. The patients were folowed up for 1-6 months. Short- and middle-term therapeutic effect as wel as IKDC and Lysholm scores before and after treatment were observed and analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The operation time was 35-65 minutes, and no complications, such as blood, nerve and anterior cruciate ligament injuries occurred. Moreover, no infection and other poor biocompatible reactions occurred after internation fixation. Al patients were folowed up for 1-6 months. The excelent and good rate was 87% at 1 month after treatment and 96% at 6 months after treatment. Al the patients had improved IKDC score and Lysholm score after treatment (P < 0.05), indicating that the knee function of patients was improved significantly.

Objective To identify the related factors of PICC malposition.Methods The domestic published literature about the related factors of PICC malposition were collected from 2001 to 2014.Analysis of heterogeneity was performed and cumulative effects were calculated using either fixed or random effects models by RevMan 5.0.Results The incidence of PICC malposition in patients with median cubital vein or cephalic vein was obviously higher than that in patients with basilic vein,the incidence of PICC malposition in patients with cephalic vein was significantly higher than that in patients with median cubital vein; the incidence of PICC malposition in patients with recumbent position was significantly higher than that in patients with seat position; the incidence of PICC malposition in the older than sixty years patients was significantly higher than that in younger than sixty years patients; the incidence of PICC malposition in male and female patients was not discrepant.Conclusions The vein,position and age of patient are the related factors of PICC malposition,while sex factor has nothing to do with the occurrence of PICC malposition.

Objective To investigate personality characteristics and its correlation with academic performance of vocational nursing students.Methods 153 nursing students were asked to filled out the questionnaire of Chinese College Student Personality Scale(CCSPS).The results were analyzed by 13.0 SPSS.Results Nursing students concentrated in the middle-up level in all the seven dimensions of the T-norm.The mean of directness,sensation and amiability were higer than the T-norm; The mean of tenaciousness and altruian were lower than the T-norm; There were different levels of correlation between academic performance and the four dimensions including directness,tenaciousness,rigorousness and amiability(P＜0.05).Finally only the dimension of rigorousness entered into the regression equation of academic performance.Conclusion Vocational nursing students tend to have ordinary personalities.The dimension of rigorousness is the major factor influencing vocational nursing students' academic performance.So it should be targeted to promote vocational nursing students' personality perfection.

Objective To study the antagonistic effect of N-acetylcysteine(NAC)on the damage of hepatic mitochondria of rats induced by cadmium in vitro.Methods The mitochondria were prepared from the clean Wistar rats' whole liver by using differ ential centfifugation.The mitochondria were incubated in the assay buffer containing different concentration of CdCl_2 (10,100,1 000,10 000 ?mol/L)at 37 ℃ for 1 h.The effect of NAC(500 ?mol/L)was studied at a CdCl_2 concentration of 1 000 ?mol/L.The incubation buffer was collected and the level of GSH,cytochrome C and the activity of Mn-SOD were determined. Objective To investigate the relationships between patients′self- management behaviors and self- efficacy with lower extremity arterial disease, and supply evidence for effective management and intervention of lower extremity arterial disease for clinical medical workers. Methods In August 2014 to January 2015,a total of 110 cases of hospitalized patients with lower extremity arterial disease of two hospitals′vascular surgery from Guangzhou completed questionnaires, including the General Information Questionnaire, Chronic Disease Self- management Behavior - Chinese version, Chronic Disease Self- efficacy -Chinese version. Results The total score of self- management behavior of patients with lower extremity arterial disease ranged from 0 to 69, with an average score of 18.93 ± 6.79, the overall level was not high. Self- efficacy score ranged from 6 to 60, with an average score of 32.25 ± 9.65, the overall level was moderate. Self -management behavior was positively correlated with self- efficacy and its dimensions, and negatively correlated with the dimensions of communication with doctors and Common disease management. Conclusions The clinical staff should strengthen education and guidance of self- management behaviors in patients with lower extremity arterial disease, promote the level of self- management behaviors and self- efficacy, improve the confidence of disease treatment and prevention, in order to achieve the purpose of health promotion.
