4.The diagnostic value of soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 and lipopolysaccharide binding protein in neonatal serious bacterial infections
Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2013;(9):812-816
Objective To evaluate the accuracy of the soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 (sTREM-1) and lipopolysaccharide binding protein (LBP) as diagnostic indices for neonatal serious bacterial infections (SBI). Methods A total of 171 newborns were enrolled in the study, and were classiifed into SBI group (including early-onset and late-onset), non-SBI group according to clinical manifestations, laboratory examinations and the time of disease onset. Serum sTREM-1, LBP and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels were measured. Receiver operator characteristic curve (ROC) was drawn, and the area under curve (AUC) was calculated. Each index was evaluated for the diagnostic value of neonatal SBI. Results The sTREM-1 and LBP levels were signiifcantly higher in SBI group than those in non-SBI group (P=0.000). The AUC of ROC for sTREM-1, LBP and CRP in early-onset SBI was 0.888, 0.839 and 0.706, respectively. The AUC of ROC for sTREM-1, LBP and CRP in late-onset SBI was 0.860, 0.865 and 0.705, respectively. Conclusions Both sTREM-1 and LBP are useful for the diag-nosis of neonatal SBI.
5.Discussing on the therapy of warming yang in the treatment of tumor
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2012;34(9):808-809
The therapy of removing beat and toxic, strengthening the body to cultivate the fundamental is the mainstream of treating cancer in traditional Chinese medicine up to now,and the therapy of warming yang has been rarely involved. While the pathogenesis of tumor is spleen and kidney yang deficiency in root, and phlegm, stasis, and poison entangled with each other at the secondary position; the main therapeutical principle of tumor is simultaneous application of purging-tonifying therapy while focusing on protecting yang. The author believes that the treatment of cancer should pay attention to the whole concept, especially warming yang for patients with advanced tumors. The therapy of warming yang is an effective way to get rid of phlegm and blood stasis.Patients after radiotherapy and chemotherapy should be paid more attention to warming yang.
6.Study Progress of Ex Utero Intrapartum Treatment
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(11):-
Airway problems in foetus that may cause airway obstruction can be safely managed by using an ex utero intrapartum technique(EXIT).The EXIT procedure maintains a period of uteroplacental circulation for fetal oxygenation during delivery to provide time to explore and secure the airway of the fetus or to perform fetal operations before the umbilical cord is clamped. The common indication for the EXIT procedure is the presence of foetal airway obstruction, which is usually caused by neck mass, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, congenital high way obstruction syndrome, thoracic abnormality, congenital heart and lung dysfunction, conjoined twins, and so on.It avoids the acute airway obstruction in a neonate that has disastrous consequences.
7.Research advancement on measuring scale and influential factor of quality of life in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Journal of International Oncology 2006;0(11):-
The quality of life(QOL) in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma ( NPC ) has attracted people' s attention increasingly. Most of the studies focus on measuring scale and influential factor. Both the disease itself and many non-somatic factors can affect the patients' quality of life. In this review, we summarize these research advancements on measuring scales and influential factors, considering that it need more studies regard to quality of life in NPC patients, and it is very urgent and important to work out the special measuring scale of NPCQOL that suits Chinese culture and value system.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2003;0(08):-
Objective To examine the distribution of Malassezia species in follicular contents and perifollicular superficial skin in patients with Malassezia folliculitis and search for its causative agent. Methods A total of 120 patients with Malassezia folliculitis were investigated. Follicular lesions at three different anatomic sites were selected in each patient. Perifolliclar superficial skin specimens were taken by sterile adhesive tape, and the follicular contents of the same follicle were taken by sterile haemostatic forceps. The above specimens were cultured respectively on media containing rapeseed oil. The isolated colonies were identified by their physiological and morphological characteristics. Results Out of 319 isolates obtained from the perifollicular superficial skin, 247 isolates (77.43%) were identified as M. sympodialis, 40 isolates (12.54%) as M. furfur, 27 isolates(8.46%) as M. globosa and 5 isolates(1.57%) as M. obtusa. Out of 314 isolates obtained from follicular contents, 252 isdates(80.25%) were identified as M. globosa, 57 isolates(18.15%) as M. sympodialis, 4 isolates(1.27%) as M. furfur, and 1 isolate(0.32%) as M. obtusa. There was statistical difference in species distribution between the follicular contents and the perifolliclar superficial skin (P
