Objective To study the relationship between the therapeutic principle and prescription of traditional Chinese medicine and the experimental pharmacologic effects in relation to the treatment of eczema. Methods Murine DNFB allergic contact dermatitis was used as an animal model, and was treated with 4 traditional Chinese medicinal compounds which were composed of Chinese materia medica with activities to suppress type Ⅳ allergic reaction. Results The results showed that the effect of compound Ⅲ composed of Paeoniae obovata Maxim(赤芍), Fructus Gardeniae(栀子), Herba Schizonepetae(荆芥), Herba Spirodelae(浮萍) and Poria(茯苓), possessing multiple potencies of cooling and promoting blood, clearing heat, expelling wind and eliminating dampness, was strongest among the compounds tested, and the compound up regulated the serum level of calcitonin gene related peptide which was lowered in the mice with DNFB induced dermatitis. Conclusion It is suggested that the compounds with suppressive effect on type Ⅳ allergic reaction might improve the therapeutic effect in clinical practice.

The new rural cooperative medical system(NRCMS)is a significant breakthrough for people's wellbeiug as emphasized by the government in the new century.To better the system and further the social and economic development,the instant reimbursement practice came into being under the NCRMS.The article introduced the background and implementation of the practice at provincial and municipal level at designated medical institutions in Fujian province.It also analyzed the benefits and initial outcomes of the practice for peasants at large,and proposed remedies for setbacks found in the practice of NRCMS.

Objective To explore the mechanism of siRNA targeted hTERT gene to inhibit bladder cancer T24 cell growth by decreasing c-myc and TGF-?1 expression. Methods shRNA-hTERT-pTZU6+1 vectors were constructed by RNAi-DNA vector technique, then the vectors were transfected into bladder cancer T24 cells,and the most effective vector and its optimal concentration were screened using RT-PCR to detect hTERT expression in T24 cells.The T24 cell growth, the alternative of cell phase,the expression of hTERT,c-myc and TGF-?1 were detected by flow cytometry,RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry. Results Three shRNA-hTERT-pTZU6+1 vectors were successfully constructed.The most effective vector was ph2-shRNA vector,and its optimal concentration was 1.0 ?g.This vector decreased the cell growth and the cell number of S phase from 65.2% to 38.6%,increased the cell number of G0/G1 phase from 32.0% to 57.9%,and attenuated both mRNA and protein expressions of hTERT,c-myc and TGF-?1 in T24 cells. Conclusions Targeted hTERT gene with siRNA may inhibit the cell proliferation of bladder cancer;down-regulating hTERT expression by attenuating the expression of c-myc and TGF-?1 is probably involved in the mechanism.

Purpose:To study the expression and clinical significance of p27 in esophageal carcinoma. Methods:Immunohistochemical staining was used to determine the expression of p27 in 32 cases of normal esophageal issues and 88 cases of esophageal carcinoma.Results:The positive incidences of P27 expression in esophageal carcinoma was 40.9% while in normal esophageal issues it was 75.0%. The expression of p27 was correlated to degree of differentiation of carcinoma and lymph node metastasis, but not to length, depth of invasion and TNM stage. The p27 negative group was seen to have the worst survival rate among all groups.Conclusions:The results suggest that p27 gene plays an important role in carcinogenesis and progress of esophageal carcinoma. Expression of P27 may prove to be valuable in prognosis assessment of esophageal carcinoma.

Objective To investigate the relationship between procoagulation of HFGL 2 and abnormality of coagulation in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) by detecting the expression of HFGL2/fibroleukin in peripheral blood mononuclear cell(PBMC) of SLE patients. Methods A polyclonal antibody against HFGL2 was applied to detecting the expression of HFGL2 protein in 32 SLE patients and 15 healthy volunteers by immunohistochemistry. Semi-quantitative measurement of HFGL2 expression in the blood specimen was done with high multiple image analytical system(HMIAS). Results The expression of HFGL2 in PBMC from 23 active SLE patients was significantly higher than that in the controls, which showed a positive correlation with the disease activity. Conclusion The expression of HFGL2 in PBMC is probably correlated with the pathogenesis and disease activity of SLE.

AIM: To investigate the transcription regulation of the promoter of human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) by transcription factors c-myc and [STBX]mad1. METHODS: The various plasmids including wild type hTERT (Tw) or mutant type hTERT (Td) which both harboring luciferase gene, the expression plasmids of c-myc and [STBX]mad1, and their control vectors were constructed. The plasmids were co-trans fected into bladder cancer cell lines T24, EJ and control cells COS-7 or fibrocytes by DOTAP liposome in various combining manner, respectively. The reporter gene luciferase activities in various groups were measured 48 h after transfection. RESULTS: The luciferase activities in T24 and EJ cells treated with Tw were much higher than that in COS-7 and fibrocytes cells treated with Tw, as well as higher than that in T24 and EJ cells treated with Td, respectively. In bladder cancer T24 and EJ cells, transcription factor c-myc and [STBX]mad1 positively and negatively regulated Tw expression in a dose-dependent manner. However, the effects of c-myc and [STBX]mad1 on Td were completely opposite to Tw. Combined with c-myc and [STBX]mad1, down-regulation of Tw expression was observed. CONCLUSION: c-myc and [STBX]mad1 regulates the transcriptional activity of hTERT promoter in bladder cancer cells, and the effects might highly depend on the conservative E-box sequence CACGTG.

In order to study the possible role of soluble interleukin-2 receptor (slL-2R) in the pathogenesis of vitiligo, we measured the levels of slL-2R in the sera and the tissue fluids from skin lesions and uninvolved skin from 41 patients with vitiligo, using the method of sandwich ELISA with monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies. Objective To study the X-ray and CT features of costal eosinophilic granuloma for a better understanding.Methods Eight patients with costal eosinophilic granuloma proved by surgery or biopsy were analyzed retrospectively.All patients had X-ray plain film, 6 patients had CT examination,including a case of enhanced CT scan.Results All 8 lesions were solitary.Six lesions were in the anterior rib and 2 in the posterior rib.On X-ray, all case showed single cavity and oval lesion with clear boundary.On CT images, 5 lesions demonstrated expansile destruction of bone with cortical bone thinning, and 3 were osteolystic destruction with soft tissue mass around.On the patient with enhanced CT scan, the lesions showed a moderate and uniform enhancement.Conclusion The X-ray and CT findings of costal eosinophilic granuloma are characteristic.

Objective Assess the value of intraoperative palmar temperature and brachial artery blood flow monitring during sympathectmy. Methods 150 cases palmar hyperhidrosis underwent transthoracic endoscopic sympathectomy. Palmar temperature was all monitored and brachial artery blood flow is also detected by ultrasonography in 33 cases. Results Palmar temperature increase (2.8?1.0)℃ after sympathetic chain has been destroyed [(include a high level increase of (3.24?0.20)℃ in 125 cases and a low level increase of (0.64?0.12)℃ in 25 cases]. Ultrasonography indicate brachial artery radius (R) and blood flow volume (VOL) are significantly increased, Maximum (Vmax) and Minimum (Vmin) speed of blood flow at systole and diastole, pulse index (PI) and systole/diastole blood flow ratio (S/D) are also increased (P
