1.Stathmin: a potential tumor biomarker
Tumor 2010;(1):73-76
Stathmin, a ubiquitously expressed cytosolic protein(Mr=19×10~3), is also called oncogene protein 18 (Op18). Stathmin is involved in the assembly of microtubule (MT) and spindle by binding the tubulin protein. It plays a key role in cell proliferation, differentiation, regeneration, and migration and has regulatory effects on the signal transduction. Recently, it is reported that stathmin is overexpressed in a variety of human malignancies. It induces tumor cell migration and invasion by regulating MT depolymeri-zation. Its post-translational modification influences the interaction with p53 protein and is involved in the initiation and progression of malignant tumor. Stathmin alone or in combination with chemotherapeutics has been used for tumor therapy. The internal association of stathmin with cancer etiology is still unknown. So, further studies are needed to determine the role of stathmin as potential tumor biomarker and a drug target in tumor therapy.

4.Research advancement on measuring scale and influential factor of quality of life in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Journal of International Oncology 2006;0(11):-
The quality of life(QOL) in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma ( NPC ) has attracted people' s attention increasingly. Most of the studies focus on measuring scale and influential factor. Both the disease itself and many non-somatic factors can affect the patients' quality of life. In this review, we summarize these research advancements on measuring scales and influential factors, considering that it need more studies regard to quality of life in NPC patients, and it is very urgent and important to work out the special measuring scale of NPCQOL that suits Chinese culture and value system.

Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(01):-
Objective In order to investigate and evaluate the heating-ventilating-air conditioning (HVAC) systems in the public areas and therefore provide the support for the hygiene management. Methods According to Hygiene Criterion of HVAC System, 10 HVAC systems in 10 star grade hotels in Nanchang were selected and PM10 and the total count of aerobic bacterial in the air condition systems, the collected dust weight and the total count of aerobic bacterial in the dust in the inner surface of ventilation vessels, the legionella bacteria in cooling tower water were determined. Results The HVAC systems in the 10 hotels, 90.1% for the PM10 and 73.3% for the total count of aerobic bacterial in the air condition systems, 8.9% for the collected dust weight and 86.7% for the total count of aerobic bacterial in the dust in the inner surface of ventilation vessels were over the standard limits, the legionella bacteria were detected in two of the investigated HVAC systems cooling tower water. Conclusion The hygienic problems are existed in the ventilated systems in the air conditioners in the pubic places. The health supervision and monitoring must go on enhancing.
7.The expression of TLR4 on peripheral blood monocytes from uremic patients with diabetic nephropathy and its relation with plasma MCP-1 concentration
Chinese Journal of Immunology 2000;0(09):-
Objective:To explore the expression of TLR4 on peripheral blood monocytes in uremic patients with diabetic nephropathy and the relation between TLR4 and diabetic nephropathy.Methods:RT-PCR analysis and flow cytometry were undertaken to measure the expression of TLR4 mRNA and protein. The plasma concentration of MCP-1 was measured with ELISA.Results:The gene and protein expression of TLR4 on peripheral blood monocytes in patients with diabetic nephropathy was significantly increased compared with that of the health control, and TLR4 expression was positively related with the the plasma concentration of MCP-1.Conclusion:TLR4 expression is upregulated on peripheral blood monocytes in patients with diabetic nephropathy and the upregulation is related with the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy.

Chinese Mental Health Journal 1988;0(06):-
Objective: To compare the cognition of cancer patients and their relatives,so as to provide references for cognitive intervention. Methods: Cognition questionnaire consists 19 questions to which most patients and their relatives concern.Sixty new cases of cancer patients and their relatives were included in this study. Results: Answers to the 5 following questions from the patients and their relatives were different with statistical significance: do you know the diagnosis(83% patients know,97% relatives know,?2=5.93,P=0.015);whether to inform patients of diagnosis or not(87% patients chose yes,65% relatives chose yes,?2=7.69,P=0.006);is it necessary to tell patient intimate therapeutic regimen(77% patients thought it is necessary,62% relatives thought it is necessary,?2=8.71,P=0.013);who decide the method(s) of treatment(7% patients and 17% relatives' answer is the patients,?2=7.19,P=0.028);if the treatment is unable to cure your disease, what would be your option(80% patients and 97% relatives chose treatment,?2=8.09,P=0.004).Different educational background(?2=5.63,P=0.018) and occupation(?2=4.10,P=0.043) affected their cognition on being informed of the intimate therapeutic regimen. Conclusion:Patients` and relatives` cognition of being informed of the diagnosis and therapy are diverse from each other. In communication with them, doctors must treat them respectively.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(05):-
There are increasing experimental evidences and clinical data showing that inflammatory reaction plays an important role in the production and development of atherosclerosis. Inflammatory process promotes the production and release of inflammatory factors by activation of monocytes and stimulation of endothelial cells, which stimulate the migration and proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells. Hydrolases and cytokines are released from the activated and stimulated cells to increase local lesion and form atherosclerotic plaque with the development of inflammation. So, on the basis of the new pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, scientists try to interfere with atherosclerosis by anti-inflammatory pathway. This paper reviews the progress of drugs against atherosclerosis by the modulation of C reaction protein ,CD40-CD40L,infection and NF-?B.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(06):-
AIM To observe the protective effect of quercetin on vascular endothelial cells injured by homocysteine in rabbits. METHODS The model of the vascular endothelial cells of rabbits injured by homocysteine was established; 50 mg?kg -1, 100 mg?kg -1 and 200 mg?kg -1 of quercetin were orally adminstered. After 30 days, the number of CEC, levels of MDA and NO,SOD activity in the serum were determined; ET concentration in the plasma was detected. The thoracic aorta was isolated to observe the vascular reactivity to nitroglycerin and ACh and tissue change. RESULTS The number of CEC, levels of MDA and ET were decreased and levels of SOD and NO were significantly increased in the quercetin-administered group compared with the injured group.Non-endothelium dependent relaxation of vessel caused by nitroglycerin was similar in all groups. Endothelium dependent relaxation caused by ACh was reduced in the injured group, whileas the relaxation trended to the normal degree in the quercetin-administered group. Pathological examination showed that quercetin was effective on the injured endothelial cells. CONCLUSION Quercetin produces protective effect on the injured vascular endothelial cells by homocysteine in rabbits.
