Objective:To evaluate the clinical sensitivity and specificity of sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) for oral cancer.Methods:By searching Medline,CENTRAL,EMBSE,CBM,CNKI,WANFANG,etc,an studies about SLNB for the patients with oral cancer array for lymph node metastasis were retrieved.The quality of included studies was evaluated by QUADAS items.The data were analyzed by statistic software Meta-DiSc 1.4.Results:25 studies including 934 subjects were analyzed in the current systematic review.The pooled values of sensitivity,specificity were 91％ (95％ CI 88％-94％) and 100％ (95 ％ CI 99％-100％) respectively.The area under summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curve (AUC) of SLNB for cervical lymph node metastasis was 0.99.Conclusion:SLNB procedure has high sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of cervical lymph node metastasis,it can be used as an useful method for cervical lymph node metastasis screening in patients with oral cancer.

AIM: To study the inhibitiory effects of Fuerkang Injection (sweet worm wood oil, glycyrrhetate and Vitamin A acetate). and its ingredients on SMMC-7721 and NB4 cell lines, in order to understand its antitumour spectrum and reasonability of its composition. METHODS: SMMC-7721 and NB4 cell lines were treated with Fuerkang Injection and its ingredients under the same concentration for 48 h, adfiamycin was used as standard com-parison,inhibitiory effect on growth of two cell lines was detected by MTT method. RESULTS: At 1.260 μg/mL, the inhibition rate of Fuerkang Injection and its decomposed recipes preparations 1,2,3 to SMMC-7721 cell lines were 54.78%, 55.49%, 53.18%, 53.79%, hemi-inhibitory concentration IC_(50) were 0.415,0.376,0.715 and 0.636 μg/mL,respectively. The inhibition rate of NB4 cell lines were 88.6% ,82.5% ,77.9% and 76.9% ,hemi-inhibitory concentration IC_(50) were 0.091,0.108 1,0.084 and 0.120 μg/mL. CONCLUSION: Fuerkang Injection and its ingredients have significant inhibitory action on SMMC-7721 and NB4 cell lines,each component herb in the compound preparation has synergetic effects.

Lung cancer is ranked the first among all malignant neoplastic diseases because of its high morbidity and mortality rate. Thus, lung cancer seriously threatens human health. More than 80%of lung cancer cases are non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Unfortunately, the majority of NSCLC patients are already at the terminal stage of the disease when they seek medical attention. Such patients miss the optimal opportunity of surgery;thus, medical treatment becomes the main choice for them. Recently, molecular-target-ed therapy has made tremendous progress in clinical practice and provides a new potential treatment for patients at the terminal stage. In this review, the authors introduced some molecular-targeted therapeutic drugs to provide benefits for the individualized treatment of patients.

[Objective]Through a comparitive analysis between hemiarthroplaty and dynamic hip screws in femoral intertrochanteric fracture,to discuss the differences and similaries between two groups of patients.[Method]Using the methods of retrospective review,the author collected 63 cases of femoral intertrochanteric fracture,treated by hemiarthroplasty and dynamic hip screws respectively.Followed for a minimum period of 6 months,the author compared the postoperative complications,cumulative mortality rate and loss of ambulatory grades between two groups.[Result]There was no siganificant difference in operative time and introperative bleeding and no evident distinctions showed in posteroperative general conditions.But in local symptoms,DHS group appeared the cut-out from femoral head and coax vara resulting from the collapse of medial cortex,hemiarthroplaty group emerged the pain in hip without proof of loosening and infection of prosthesis.Hip scores decreased by 8.6% in DHS group and 9.2% in hemiarthroplaty group.In the opinion of the function convalescence,there was no definition to be worth recommending between two groups.[Conclusion]To eldly patients with unstable intertrochanteric fracture,fine function should be expected equal to preoperation after operation,but the chief motive is to provide the conditions which permit the patients earlier activity.So hemiarthroplaty is a reasonable alternative to a sliding screw device to treat intertrochanteric fractures.

Objective To discuss the techniques and efficacy of arthroscopy-assisted treatment for popliteal cyst. Methods From June 2004 to January 2006, 14 patients with popliteal cyst were diagnosed and treated with arthroscopy. During the operation, the popliteal cyst was removed, and then the hernial opening was repaired by suturing the medial head of the gastrocnemius tendon. The outcomes of the operation were evaluated by using Rauschning and Lindgren Grading. Results Arthroscopic examinations showed evident pathological changes in the knee joints of the 14 patients, including 6 cases of posterior horn medial meniscus tear, 1 case of chondromalacia of patella, 2 patellofemoral malalignment, 4 osteoarthritis, and 1 discoid lateral meniscal tear. The patients were followed up for 5-18 months (mean 11 months). According to the Rauschning and Lindgren Grading, 8 patients were grade Ⅱ and 6 were grade Ⅲ before the operation. After the operation, 9 patients were grade 0, 4 were grade Ⅰ, and 1 was grade Ⅱ. There was a significant difference between the pre-and postoperative grading (Z=-4.498, P=0.000). No patient had recurrence during the follow-up. Conclusions Popliteal cyst is usually induced by knee joint disorders. It was difficult to eliminate the cyst by simple resection. Arthroscopy-assisted treatment can achieve good outcomes.

Objective To optimize the method of isolating ,culturing and screening fetal mouse liver stem cells in vitro ,and to identify the potential of bi‐directional differentiation .Methods The fetal liver stem cells of mouse were isolated by the density gra‐dient centrifugation and cell difference adherence method ,the proliferation of stem cells was determined by cell plate cloning tech‐nique and MTT method;stem cells were induced for differentiation by adding DMSO and HGF .Results The isolated stem cells showed adherence within 24 h ,which were orbicular‐ovate ,closely packed ,activated within 1~2 weeks ;the positive rates of CD133 , CD49f and EPCAM were (97 .95 ± 1 .21)% ,(92 .71 ± 3 .49)% and (50 .73 ± 3 .45)% respectively ;AFP and CK19 proteins were expressed;red glycogen granules were seen by PAS after induced differentiation;ALB and HNF‐4αwere expressed .Conclusion Fe‐tal hepatic stem cells are successfully isolated by the density gradient centrifugation combined with difference adherence method ,and the isolated cells have strong stemness and proliferation ability ,as well as the ability of bi‐directional differentiation towards hepato‐cytes and bile duct epithelial cells .

To investigate the chemical constituents of the roots of Aconitum taipaicum, silica gel column chromatography was used for the isolation and purification of compounds. A new norditerpenoid alkaloid, isodelelatine (1), along with five known alkaloids, atisine (2), delfissinol (3), liangshanine(4), hypaconitine (5) and delelatine (6) were isolated and identified. The structure of the new compound was elucidated on the basis of spectral data.

Purpose　The source of earthworm toxin, its ingredients and the methods to take it off were studied.Methods　The irritable secretor was dialyzed, and then examined by UV-Vis spectrum instrument.The proteins was analyzed with electrophoresis. The toxicity was tested in vivo.Results　The proteins of irritable secretor 0.242mg/kg iv cause a mouse to death.Many bands were separated from the proteins with SDS-PAGE， among which two kinds were the principal. Even with different stimulus the secretor of earthworm was identical in ingredients.Conclusion　The results demonstrated that the earthworm proteins of irritable secretion had toxicity and the toxin could be removed from earthworm by adding NaCl or 40V electricity.

Inducers of differentiation are involved in regulation of telomera se activity. In the present review, the effects of retinoids, vitamin D3 compo unds, tea catechins and matrine on telomerase activity in malignant cells were r eviewed.
