Objective To describe the experience of nurses in combined care program of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and provide references for nursing managers. Methods The phenomenology research method was adopted in this study. Fourteen nurses who had achieved the combined care program of TCM participated in an in-depth interview. Data were analyzed by using phenomenological analysis. Results All nurses approved nursing program of TCM: finding sense of belonging in nursing work;demonstration of self-value;standardization of nursing tednnique;harmonious environmont of nursing work. But some defect still existed: too subjective evaluation item of nursing program of TCM;inappropriate evaluation table;lact of hospital characteristics of TCM nursing;deficiency of TCM knowledge. Conclusion Nursing managers should pay more attention to nurses' emotional experience, grasp the implementation of the problems during the program and improve the program, optimize the skills, provide trainings.

There are Many gaps of medical psychology on course plans, teaching methods and examination methods in Chinese medicine institutions. Therefore, the teaching of medical psychology must be reformed. By improving course plans, strengthening multiple teaching methods and examination methods used, quality of teaching on medical psychology can be enhanced, and many persons with ability of traditional Chinese medical science can be educated to be abreast of bio-psycho-social medical model.

Down-regulation of adult hippocampal neurogenesis has been regarded as one of the important biological and cellular basis of depression. Recent studies have shown that there is a close correlation between neurogenesis and angiogenesis. Several angiogenesis factors, especially vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), play a vital role on angiogenesis. They not only have the neurotrophic and neuroprotective effects, but also up-regulate hippocampal neurogenesis. Thus,VEGF may be involved in the occurrence and treatment of major depression. This article reviews current understanding of the relationship between adult brain angiogenesis and depression.

Objective To realize the status in the implementation of three industry standards of central sterile sup-ply department (CSSD),and provide a scientific basis for carrying out of the standards. Methods According to three standards,investigation forms were designed by specialists,written survey on 365 hospitals in 9 provinces and field investigation on 1 5 hospitals in 3 provinces were performed,the implementation of three standards were investi-gated.Results Of 365 hospitals,the number of provincial and ministerial level,municipal level,and county level hospitals were 90,87 and 188 respectively. More than 94% of hospitals established CSSD management system and regulations,>90% of hospitals met the requirements of CSSD layout;All hospitals were equipped with pressure steam sterilizer,all levels of hospitals basically equipped with the necessary equipments and facilities;CSSD respon-sible officers of 94.52% (345/365)of hospitals participated in training on standards;69.61% (252/362)of hospi-tals were using or developing CSSD information systems;>92% of the CSSD responsible officers considered that three standards played an important role in facilitating centralized management,and improving the quality of clean-ing,disinfection and sterilization.Conclusion Hospitals need to strengthen the management and training on stand-ards of CSSD,management of loaner instruments and development of information system need to be standardized.

Objective To research the infection of Rotavirus in children in Hangzhou area and to get the message of the feature of epidemiology. Methods Stool specimens of 156 children with suspected acute viral enteritis in Hangzhou between September 2006 and January 2008 were collected. Rotavirus were detected for all specimens by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). Results Rotavirus was detected in 86 of 156(55. 1% ) specimens;all the 86 strains belonged to group A. The highest frequency of group A RV detected was 57% (70/123) in patients aged 6 ～ 24 months. Conclusion The major pathogen of acute viral enteritis in children in Hangzhou area between September 2006 and January 2008 was RV. Children under the age of 2 years seemed to be more susceptible to RV infection than those of other age groups. The symptoms of RV enteritis were more severe than those of other viral enteritis.

Objective To examine the frequency and mode of distal spread of low and middle rectal cancer in the mesorectum and rectal wall to determine the optimal distal clearance in situ. Methods Thirty-four specimens with low and middle rectal cancer were collected in the pathologic study between August 2004 and December 2005 in Cancer Center of Sun Yat-sen University,Twenty-eight specimens with low and middle rectal cancer were enrolled in the pathologic study between October 2006 and October 2007 in Shandong Provincial Hospital of Shandong University.Logistic regression wag used to analyze clinicopathoiogic factors related to distal spread of low and middle rectal cancer in the mesorectum and rectal wall. Results Two types of disial spread of the tumor were identified in rectal wall:submucosa invasion and muscularis propda invasion.Distal spread in rectal wall was observed in 16%(10/62)of the patients.The length of distal spread in rectal wall was found from 0.5 cm to 1.0 cm.Four types of distal spread of the tumor were identified in mesorectum:lymph node invasion,blood and lymphatic vessel invasion,perineural invasion,isolated neoplastic microfoci.Distal spread in mesorectum was observed in 19%(12/62)of the patients.The length of distal spread in mesorectum was found from 0.5 cm to 4.0 cm.Univariate analysis showed that serum CEA,lymph node invasion.circumferential margin involvemenl and Dukes stage were correlated with distal spread of low and middle rectal cancer in the mesorectum and rectal wall.Dukes stage was shown to be independent impact factor by multivariate analysis(Wald=8.386,P=0.004).Conclusion Dukes stage is an independent impaet factor for distal spread of low and middle rectal cancer in the mesorectum and rectal wall.Resection of 1.5 cm for distal rectal wall mandatory for a curative resection,provided that the clearance for distal mesorectum is no less than 5.0 cm.

Objective To explore the causes,clinical characteristics and prognosis of children′s completely at-rioventricular block(CAVB).Methods The clinical data of 73 patients with CAVB were analyzed retrospectively from January 2004 to December 201 3 at the Cardiology Department,Nanjing Children′s Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medi-cal University.Within those 73 patients,34 patients were male and the others were female,from 3 months old to 1 2.5 years old,the mean age of 6 years.Results There were 21 congenital CAVB patients and 52 acquired CAVB patients with myocarditis undergoing ventricular septal defect (VSD)closure operation.All congenital CAVB patients were re-fractory to drug therapy.Electrocardiogram and echocardiogram were performed in 1 9 cases without clinical symptoms during follow -up,but 2 cases had permanent pacemaker implanted.Among 27 fulminant myocarditis,Adams -Stokes attacks were found in 1 5 cases,3 cases had Adams -Stokes attack in 1 5 cases with sequelae of myocarditis,and 2 out of 6 cases undergoing VSD closure operation had Adams -Stokes attack,and other 4 cases without clinical symptoms were followed up periodically.The acquired CAVB patients were given energy composition and intravenous megavitamin C. The cases with fulminant myocarditis were given adrenal cortical hormone and intravenous gamma globulins simulta-neously.A total of 27 acquired CAVB patients were implanted temporary pacemaker and 5 with permanent pacemaker. Among 52 acquired CAVB patients,31 cases were cured,9 cases were improved,1 1 cases were ineffective,and 1 case died.Conclusions Most congenital CAVB children without clinical symptoms need clinical follow -ups.Myocarditis is a major cause of acquired CAVB.The CAVB prognosis caused by fulminant myocarditis may be related to antimely im-planting the temporary pacemaker timely.Permanent pacemaker should be implanted in patients who have no response to drug therapy with frequent Adams -Stokes or heart failure.

ObjectiveTo observe the change of cardiac function after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in rabbit model,and to study MRI characteristics of left ventricular remodeling (LVR).Methods Forty-five japanese white rabbits underwent chest-opening coronary artery ligation surgery to obtain rabbit myocardial infarction model The animals were scanned on a 1.5 T MR scanner ( GE Healthcare,Chalfont St.Giles,UK) at six time-points as surgery,1,2,4,6,8 weeks after surgery. Cardiac function parameters were measured,including left ventricular end diastolic volume ( EDV ),stroke volume ( SV ),ejection fraction (EF),peak ejection rate ( PER ) and peak firing rate (PFR).At each time point,5 rabbits were randomly selected and performed re-thoracotomy to obtain heart specimen.Each specimen was examined by MRI with the diffusion tensor imaging ( DTI ).The value of ADC and fractional anisotropy (FA) were collected. Cardiac function data sets of different time points were analyzed using repeated measures data of ANOVA.The FA and ADC values of infarction myocardium set of different time points or different parts of the myocardium were analyzed using one-way ANOVA. The average was compared statistically between two adjacent groups using LSD-t test. Results Left ventricular EDV increased in progress with the time.It was increased from ( 2.21 ± 0.35 ) ml preoperatively to ( 3.15 ± 0.57 ) ml 8-week postoperatively.But the difference was not statistical significant ( F =1.384,P =0.220).EF was decreased from(57.31 ± 11.11 )％ to( 34.71 ± 8.72 )％.It dropped significantly and the difference was statistically significant (F =27.134,P =0.001 ).EF showed a downward trend with the increase of EDV.By linear regression analysis,an equation was set up with y =- 5.58x + 57.7 ( F =8.855,P =0.005 ).On the other hand,PER showed a progressive decline from (27.31 ± 13.06) ml/s to ( 17.31 ± 6.41 ) ml/s ( F =2.105,P =0.037 ),and PFR decreased from ( 23.79 ± 14.15 ) ml/s to ( 12.07 ± 6.91 ) ml/s ( F =2.366,P =0.011 ).FA value decreased from 0.442 ±0.093 to 0.107 ±0.037( F =12.61,P =0.001 ),and ADC valueshowed upward trend from (5.07 ± 1.15) ×10-4 mm2/s to(6.39 ±0.78) ×10-4 mm2/s (F=4.166,P =0.022 ).FA values of infarct,adjacent and remote region were 0.201 ± 0.049,0.316 ± 0.127 and 0.323 ± 0.117 respectively( F =3.896,P =0.004 ),and the ADC values in these regions were (6.19 ± 1.78 ) ×10 -4,(5.44 ± 2.63 ) × 1 0 -4,(5.29 ± 2.02 ) × 10 -4 mm2/s respectively ( F =3.248,P =0.018 ).FA and ADC values were significantly different between the infarct region and adjacent region ( t =7.327,P =0.001 ;t =3.292,P =0.005,respectively),but there was no significantly different between adjacent region and remote region ( t =1.024,P =0.129 ; t =1.467,P =0.164,respectively ).ConclusionsMRI measurement of parameters of cardiac function can be used to monitor the process of left ventricular function remodeling after AMI.The process of micro-structural remodeling of myocardium can be reflected by DTI.MRI provides a feasible imaging modality for LVR after AMI.

ObjectiveTo investigate the CT number linearity of the cone-beam CT (CBCT) images at the different spatial locations in the scanning area.MethodsThe CatphanS04 phantom at the different locations are scanned repeatcdly using the CBCT on the Varian 23EX linear accelerator.The phantom is located the isocenter point,eccentric 3 cm,eccentric 6 cm,and different points on the z-axis successively on the accelerator.The scanned mode is the standard head mode.The reconstructive thickness is 2.5 cm.The different densities inserts of CTP404 module on the different locations are measured via Eclips treatment planning system (TPS) and computed by Matlab 7.0 and the CT linear fitting are then processed.In order to understand better the linear distribution along with the value of CT in the spatial distribution the results are compared with the fan-beam CT.ResultsPhantom studies show that:CBCT has good linearity performance not only under the standard header (body) of the scanning conditions,but also on such locations including the cross-sectional,the sagittal,the coronal plane and the eccentric position ( R2 ＞ 0.953 ).Bowtie filtration device does not change the CT finearity but changes the value of CT.ConclusionsThe linearity of X-ray CBCT on the Varian linear accelerator is favorable.CBCT will be used in the TPS dose calculation via further correction of the CT value.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of overexpession of 18 ku translocator protein (TSPO) on the hippocampal dentate gyrus. METHODS Lentiviral (LV) vectors containing TSPO or the lentiviral sequence were infused into the hippocampus bilateral dentate gyri (2 × 108 TU · mL-1,1 μL per side)of mice. Behavioral tests were carried out. The anxiolytic-like behavior of mice was examined by such means as the elevated plus maze test , the staircase test , light dark box test for 12, 14 and 16 d, two behavioral despair models, tail suspension test and the forced swimming test for 16 and 18 d,respec?tively. Western blotting and ELISA were used to evaluate the TSPO expression and the concentration of allopregnanolone in hippocampal tissue (3 mm in diameter around the injection site on both sides) at the end of tests. RESULTS The results of behavioral experiments showed that TSPO overexpression group deneloped anxiolytic and antidepression-like behavior. LV-TSPO significantly increased the retention time in the central area〔14 ± 4 vs (25 ± 12)s,P<0.05〕. LV-TSPO significantly increased the percentage of entry into open arms entries percentage and the percentage of time spent in open arms time without changing total entries and total time in the elevated plus-maze test〔(13±8)%vs (26±18)%, P<0.05;(6 ± 6)%vs (27 ± 6)%, P<0.05)〕. LV-TSPO significantly decreased the number of rearings without changing the number of steps in staircase test (21±7 vs 12±5,P<0.05). LV-TSPO increased entries into the light area and retention time in light-dark transition test〔(18 ± 8)% vs (26 ± 7)%, P<0.05;72 ± 36 vs (191 ± 90)s, P<0.05)〕but significantly decreased immobility time in the tail suspension test and forced swimming test〔94±33 vs (36±20)s, P<0.01;137±36 vs (90±37)s, P<0.05)〕, without excitatory or inhibitory actions on the central nervous system. At the same time, the level of TSPO expression in hippocampal tissues (3 mm in diameter around the injection site on both sides) was significantly increased, so did the concentration of allopregnanolone (P<0.05). CONCLUSION Overexpression of TSPO in the hippocamus dentate gyrus of mice can induce anxiolytic and antidepressant-like behavior, and the downstream allo?pregnanolone biosynthesis at least partially mediates the behavioral effects.
