China Pharmacist 2016;19(3):443-447
Objective:To prepare dual anesthetic remifentanil-propofol microemulsion ( Rem-Pro MM) and evaluate the anesthetic effects in adult dogs by continuous infusion. Methods:The Rem-Pro MM was prepared by the high pressure homogenization technolo-gy. The Rem-Pro MM was characterized with the particle size distribution, zeta potential and morphology as the indices. The anesthetic effects in adult dogs were evaluated by continuous infusion of Rem-Pro MM. Results:The particle size distribution, polydispersion in-dex and zeta potential of Rem-Pro MM was (217. 6 ± 48. 2) nm, (0. 212 ± 0. 032) and ( -31. 2 ± 3. 8) mV, respectively. The Rem-Pro MM was found to be small and homogeneous under a transmission electron microscope. The pharmacodynamic studies showed that the Rem-Pro MM in adult dogs with partial spleen surgery had promising anesthetic effects during the anesthesia induction and mainte-nance procedure. Conclusion: The dual anesthetic remifentanil-propofol microemulsion has good effects of sedation and analgesia, which is expected to be used in clinics.

Objective To investigate the effects of IGFBP-3,RXR? and STAT-1 on A?_ 1-42 induced apoptosis in rat hippocampus neurons. Methods Apoptosis was induced by fibrillar A?_ 1-42.The percentage of neurons apoptosis was evaluated by microscopy after staining with TUNEL/DAPI.IGFBP-3 and RXR? positive neurons were observed by immunofluorescence. The expression of RXR? and STAT-1 protein were detected by Western blotting. Results After treatment with 20?mol/L A?_ 1-42 for 24 hours, the apoptotic hippocampus neurons were shown by TUNEL/DAPI assay. The percentage of apoptotic neurons was increased in a time-dependent manner.During the development of apoptosis, both the percentage of IGFBP-3/RXR? positive neurons and the expression of RXR? protein increased markedly after 3-6hours(P

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(04):-
Maltol is a chemical derived from Chinese herb Panax Ginseng. The effect of maltol on hemolysis and hydroperoxidation of erythro-cytes induced by active oxygen radical is presented. Maltol could protect hemolysis induced by H2O2 in vitro. When erythrocyte membrane protein was exposed to butylhydroperoxide in vitro, membrane protein was polymerized, and membrane lipids were oxidized to hydroperoxide compound. These oxidative reactions could inhibited by maltol. The results showed that maltol might act as a scavenger of superoxide of hydroxy radical as demonstrated by biochemical method and ESR spin method。

Objective To investigate and analyze application of syndrome-differentiated nursing care in the hospitals of TCM in Hunan. Methods A self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate and analyze 485 nurses-in-charge or higher positions in 116 hospitals of TCM in Hunan. Results 90.93% of nursing staff hold that syndrome-differentiated nursing care benefits patients' health; 32.37% of nurses were not familiar with syndrome-differentiated nursing care, and the rate of familiarity was higher among the nurses in municipal and provincial hospitals of TCM than those in county and district hospitals of TCM; hospitals of TCM that carry out syndrome-differentiated nursing care exceeding 70% accounted for 12.37%, with municipal and provincial hospitals of TCM higher than county and district hospitals of TCM. Conclusions Application of syndrome-differentiated nursing care in the hospitals of TCM is of concern. Reform of management model, training system, regulations and laws is needed to encourage nurses' application of syndromedifferentiated nursing care.

Chinese Journal of Rheumatology 2009;13(3):156-158
Objective To analyze the 5-year survival rate, causes of death and prognostic indicators of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 243 newly diagnosed SLE patients who Were admitted into our hospital from 1998 to 2005.The clinical features and serologic data were studied.Survival rate of SLE patients over time was studied by the Kaplan-Meier method, and prognostic indicators of mortality were studied by Cox proportional hazards models. Results The 1-,3- and 5-yr survival rate was 96%,94% and 91%,respectively.Renal failure and infection were the main causes of death, followed by lupus encephalotmthy and pulmonary hypertension.Cox regression analysis revealed that lupus nephritis and lupus encephalopathy at the diagnosis were independent risk determinants for mortality. However, age, sex, low C3 level, positive anti-dsDNA antibody, hematological abnormalities, lupus lung involvement and heart damages at diagnosis and immunosuppressant treatment had no strong association with survival. Conclusion Early diagnosis, control of SLE organ damage and infection prevention are critical to improve survival of SLE patients.

Fast tract surgery (FTS) has been implemented in different fields of surgery to attenuate the surgical stress response and accelerate recovery.Liver resection is the preferred treatment for a variety of primary and secondary liver tumors. However, liver resection is associated with severe stress response and higher rate of postoperative morbidity and mortality.Fast tract surgery has been reported to accelerate recovery following liver resection. In this review,we summarize the recent progress of fast tract surgery in liver resection.

Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of 3D-ultrasound for cord entanglement in monoam-niotic twins. Methods From November 2013 to March 2016,a total of 65 monoamniotic twinsunderwent routine obstetric ultrasonography to screen fetal abnormalities in our hospital. The cord was meticulously observedusing a systematic continuous sequence approach. Fetuses who showed cord entanglement by 2-D ultrasound or 3-D flow Doppler were all recruited. The gestational weeks, fetal malformation, ultrasonic image feature of cord entangle-ment,and clinicaloutcome were recorded and analyzed retrospectively. Results 4 monoamniotic twins showed cord entanglement. Three-dimensional color Doppler clearly delineated thefeatures of entanglement. At following-up of 8 fetuses,3 fetuses were found intrauterine fetal death and 3 fetuses with structural abnormalities except for 2 well infants. Conclusion Cord entanglement may threaten the safety of fetusesin monoamniotic pregnancies. In aid of 2-D ultrasound or 3-D flow Doppler in monoamniotic twins can help to find it in time ,monitor it carefully and provide evidence for obstetric treatment .
