1.CT and MR image fusion technique and its clinical application

Objective To provide new diagnose informations for clinician by using image fusion. Methods 30 cases with brain lesion (men 18,women were studied 12). Twenty cases were examined by CT or MR in 1_2 weeks, the others were checked by MR, after being diagnosed with CT. These image data were input into computer the center and main axis of image were located by Legendre moment then the CT and MR images were registered by translation, scaling and rotation. Results Of 30 image fusions, supplementary informations were provided to each other in 28 cases,prediction of disease progress in 19 cases. There were 4 cases confirmed at surgery. But in 2 cases no obvious advantage was obtained by image fusion.Conclusion CT and MR image fusion provides useful information for definitive diagnosis, planning of surgery and radiotherapy. To fuse the images of CT and MR, the Legendre moment approach is direct, simple and fast.
2.Analysis of an Outbreak of TB in an University in Hangzhou

Objective To analyze the reasons of the TB outbreak in that school and to explore strategy of warning and preventing TB in schools.Methods epidemical investigation,screening close-contactors,analyzing and dealing with epidemic situation.Results 51 TB cases were detected from Oct 2003 to Mar 2005,among them,there were 42 acquired TB cases (6 sputum smear positive cases),9 tuberculosis pleurisy cases.30 of them didn't experience any health education about TB control and prevention,and know nothing about TB.Rest of them is not much better.Only tow of them is resisted by school infirmary,7 of 16 students who were diagnosed with TB before screening and took treatment were reported to local CDC.Conclusions Students lack of self-protective ability; administration of school infirmary was not well-organized,so that so many TB cases in a short period couldn't be noticed and the weakness of the report system is the major reason causing the outbreak to be long term and involving so many victims.it is emergency to enforce TB control in schools,and it is crucial to establish TB warning system in schools.
3.Examination and recognition of hemorrhagic focus in hidden epistaxis

Objective To establish a method for recognizing nasal bleeding sites and hemorrhagic foci of hidden epistaxis.Methods The bleeding sites and hemorrhagic foci,as well as the used surgical techniques and the curative effects were studied retrospectively in 122 patients with spistaxis from Jan.2005 to Oct.2007,in whom the bleeding sites and hemorrhagic foci were not found by routine nasoscope examination.Under nasal endoscopic monitoring,electric heat cauterization(EHC),microwave coagulation(MC) and micro-traumatic nasal packing(MTNP) were applied respectively to treat the hidden epistaxis.Results The hemorrhagic foci were found in the following sites:Olfactory cleft 48 cases(39.3%),superior wall of inferior nasal meatus 20 cases(16.4%),posteroinferior wall of middle nasal meatus 6 cases(4.9%) and so on.Epistaxis was well controlled in 113 of 122 cases(92.6%),in whom the hemorrhagic foci were found by endoscope,by laser soldering,MC and EHC.Packing with mini gel foam was used in 9 cases,for whom the hemorrhagic foci were not found.No complications occurred during a 1-2 months of follow up after treatment.Of the 122 cases,106 cases(86.9%) stopped bleeding by treatment once and 16 cases(13.1%) stopped by treatment twice.Conclusion The lateral or posterior area of middle and inferior nasal meatus,and olfactory cleft area are the frequent sites of hidden epistaxis.Examination with endoscopy,combined with the findings on the middle and inferior turbinate and the features of blood flow in different sites,will be important on recognizing the hidden epistaxis and locating the hemorrhagic foci.
4.Parsing and encoding of DICOM Nesting Data Set and its application to PACS

DICOM is a standard for data format and transmission of digital medical image. DICOM Data Set is a binary data stream using DICOM encoding rule. DICOM Nesting Data Set is a kind of complex Data Set with a tree structure, and is widely used in DICOM services and encoding of DICOM files for its special structure. In this article, the functions and encoding rule of Data Set and Nesting Data Set in DICOM format are presented, and the way of parsing and organizing of them is put forward. The realization method and practical application are also discussed.
5.A Quick Evaluation of Comprehensive Toxicity of Traditional Chinese Medical Injections Based on Microtox Technology

Microtox technology is one of quick toxicity test methods for determining the poisonous or toxic substances in the environment by luminous bacteria as a indicator organism.This paper reviewed the appearance and development of microtox technology.Besides,we expounded the methods and stepwise technique map and addressed key questions of microtox technology for the evaluation of the comprehensive toxicity of Chinese medicinal materials.In conclusion,microtox technology is a promising method from a vantage point of the toxicity detection of Chinese medicinal materials.
6.Assessment of Standard Writing of Outpatient Prescriptions and Rational Use of Antibiotics

OBJECTIVE:To standardize the writing of outpatient prescriptions and set up monitoring mechanism on rational use of antibiotics and drug costs.METHODS:A total of 400 prescriptions collected from 8 departments(50 from each department)of our hospital in the fourth quarter of 2005(before the examination)and from first to fourth quarter in 2006(after the examination)were examined statistically according to Inspection Items and Writing Requirements of Clinical Prescriptions,Guiding Principle of Rational Application of Antibiotics in Hospital,Principles of Classified Management of Antibiotics which were formulated by our hospital.RESULTS:Before prescription examination,the qualified rate of prescriptions was only 57.5%,but rose to an average of 85.6% after the examination.CONCLUSION:To include the standardized writing of prescriptions and reasonable application of antibiotics in the assessment of hospital comprehensive goals was proved to be an effective management method.
7.Analysis of the long and middle term effect of uterine artery embolization for uterine leiomyomas

Uterine artery embolization(UAE)is a safe and effective method for uterine leiomyomas but its long and middle term effects are definite. Furthermore it bears some exguisite comparision with the conventional therapy but not as a radical one, with a tendency. However, to develop new leiomyomas and recurrence after UAE, there for all patients should be monitored with clinical and imaging examinations for more than 2 years after the procedure. At present,a few literatures involving the factors that could influence the effects of UAE have been issued. It is necessary to carry on large-scale clinical research of the related factors influencing the results of UAE in order to guide clinical practice correctly and swiftly.(J Intervent Radiol, 2006, 15: 503-506)
8.Psychometric test of Home Care Demand Forecasting Scale for fracture patients before discharge

Objective To test the reliability and validity of the home care demand forecasting scale for fracture patients when they were before discharge. Methods This study was descriptive study. Convenience sampling was used and 412 patients with fracture from 5 comprehensive hospitals in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture were selected. Finally, the number of valid questionnaires is 398 which were used for testing. Results Five factors and 32 items were eventually determined. The split-half reliability coefficient was 0.910, and split-half coefficient in each dimension was over 0.75; the content validity showed scale level content validity index(S-CVI) was 0.948, and the index in each item′s item level content validity index (I-CVI) was between 0.76 to 1.00. The result of factor analysis included 5 factors and the cumulative contribution of variance was 59.181%. The result of construct validity χ2/df=1.554, root mean square error approximation (RMSEA)=0.037, goodness-of-fit index (GFI)=0.920. The total of scale′s Cronbach coefficient was 0.948, Each dimension′s Cronbach coefficient was between 0.797-0.875. Conclusions The home care demand forecasting scale was proved to be reliable and valid. It can be used to assess the home-care needs of fracture patients before they were discharge.
9.Role of mito-KATP channels in sevoflurane postconditioning-induced inhibition of oxygen-glucose deprivation and restoration-induced pyroptosis in primary rat cardiomyocytes

Objective To evaluate the role of mitochondrial ATP-seusitive potassium (mito-KATP) channels in sevoflurane postconditioning-induced inhibition of oxygen-glucose dcprivation and restoration (OGD/R)-induced pyroptosis in primary rat cardiomyocytes.Methods Cardiomyocytes of newborn Sprague-Dawley rats (<48 h after birth) were cultured in vitro and seeded in 6-well dishes (2 cm in diameter)or in 96-well plates.The cells were divided into 6 groups (n =15 each) using a random number table:control group (group C),OGD/R group (group O),sevoflurane postconditioning group (group Sev),sevoflurane postconditioning plus 5-hydroxydecanoate (5-HD) group (group SH),5-HD group (group H) and OGD/R plus 5-HD group (group HO).The cardiomyocytes were subjected to oxygen-glucose deprivation for 4 h followed by restoration of oxygen-glucose supply for 24 h.After oxygen-glucose restoration,the cardiomyocytes in the culture media were exposed to 2% sevoflurane for 1 h to perform sevoflurane postconditioning.At 1 h before oxygen-glucose deprivation,a specific mito-KATP channel blocker 5-HD 100 μmol/L was added to the culture media.Cardiomyocytes were cultured in normal culture atmosphere in group C.Cardiomyocytes were collected at 24 h of oxygen-glucose restoration.Cell pyroptosis was detected by double flow cytometry AlexaFour488 (caspase-1 FLICA staining) and TMR red (DNA staining) staining.The pyroptosis rate was calculated.The cell survival rate was measured by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium assay.The content of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in mitochondria was determined by 2',7'-dichlorofluorescin diacetate assay.The mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) was measured by using JC-I fluorescent probe.The expression of interleukin-1beta (IL-1β) was determined by Western blot.Results Compared with group C,the pyroptosis rate and ROS content were significantly increased,the cell survival rate and MMP were decreased,and the expression of IL-1β was up-regulated in group O (P<0.05).Compared with group O,the pyroptosis rate and ROS content were significantly decreased,the cell survival rate and MMP were increased,and the expression of IL-1β was down-regulated in group Sev (P<0.05).Compared with group Sev,the pyroptosis rate and ROS content were significantly increased,the cell survival rate and M MP were decreased,and the expression of IL-1β was up-regulated in group SH (P<0.05).Compared with group SH,the pyroptosis rate and ROS content were significantly increased,the cell survival rate and MMP were decreased,and the expression of IL-1β was up-regulated in group H O (P<0.05).Conclusion The mechanism by which sevoflurane postconditioning inhibits OGD/R-induced pyroptosis in primary rat cardiomyocytes is probably associated with increasing mito-KATP channel opening.
10.Synergistic Inhibition of TNP-470 and Recombinant Human Endostatin on the Growth of Mice Lung Adenocarcinoma LA795

Objective: To investigate the combined inhibitive effect of TNP-470 and rhES on the growth of lung adenocarcinoma LA795 in T739 mice. Methods: The purified rhES was acquired by using methanol to induce the recombinant pichia pastoris. GS115 and heparin affinity chromatography. The T739 mice inoculated with LA795 cells were randomized into three groups, 10 mice per group, one group was injected with PBS for 14 days, the other two groups were respectively treated with rhES and TNP-470+rhES. To observe the tumor growth in different groups, and the tumor volume was measured with caliper. The microvessel density(MVD) of tumors were measured by using immunohistochemistry. Results: The purified rhES was acquired. In compared with PBS group, the tumor growth of other two groups was inhibited significantly.
