Objective To summarize the clinical characteristics of Foix-Chavany-Marie syndrome.Methods The clinical,electroencephalography and imaging characteristics,as well as etiology,treatment and prognosis of 4 cases of Foix-Chavany-Marie syndrome were retrospectively evaluated,and relevant literature was reviewed to investigate its pathogenesis.Results All the 4 cases presented with hypersalivation,facial diplegia,dysarthria and dysphagia with autonomic-voluntary dissociation.Brain MRI showed bilateral cortical or subcortical lesions in the opercula and perisylvian areas.Three cases were secondary to encephalitis,and 1 case was related to perinatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.After administration of antiepileptic drugs,they were free of seizures.But all the other symptoms remained.Conclusions Autonomic-voluntary dissociation is a feature of Foix-Chavany-Marie syndrome.Most patients are due to bilateral structural or functional lesions between motor cortices and brain-stem cranial motor nuclei.The prognosis depends on the heterogeneous etiologies,such as encephalitis and cerebrovascular disease.

Objective:To study the changes of upper airway dimension and morphology in Class Ⅱ mandibular retrusion children af-ter functional treatment by Twin-block appliance.Methods:The Cone-Beam CT(CBCT)data of upper airway of the subjects were measured with Dolphin 11.5 software before and after fuctional treatment by Twin-block appliance.The comparison of upper airway di-mension and morphology between pre-treatment and post-treatment was performed by paired t-text.Results:After functional treatment the volume of total upper airway,velopharyngeal airway,glossopharyngeal airway,laryngopharyngeal airway,oropharyngeal airway,the sectional area of the inferior of the soft palate(SP),tip of the epiglotti(TE),the sagittal diameter of SP,the lateral diameter of SP and TE increased(P <0.05)in the children;the airway's shape of SP was attended to be rounder and TE to be more flat.Conclusion:Functional treatment is effective in the treatment of skeletal Class Ⅱ mandibular retrusion of children by increase of the upper airway and improvement of respiration.

Objective:To explore the chain mediating effect of escape motivation and flow experience between frustration and online game addiction.Methods:Stratified cluster sampling method was used to randomly select 740 students from 5 universities in Beijing.Frustrate mental state scale (FMSS), escape subscale of online game motivation scale (OGMS), game flow scale (GFS), and the game addiction subscale of different types of internet addiction scale (DTIAS) were used for investigation. SPSS 25.0 software and PROCESS macro program model 6 were used to analyze the data and test the mediation effect.Results:Frustration (62.94±15.84) was positively correlated with escape motivation(6.89±2.34), flow experience(20.36±7.38), and online game addiction(16.05±6.62) ( r=0.30, 0.19, 0.39, all P<0.01). Escape motivation was positively correlated with flow experience and online game addiction ( r=0.51, 0.50, both P<0.01), while flow experience was positively correlated with online game addiction ( r=0.51, all P<0.01). The direct effect of frustration on game addiction was 0.23 (95% CI=0.17-0.30). Frustration indirectly affects game addiction through two paths. The single mediating effect of escape motivation was 0.07 (95% CI=0.05-0.11), and the chain mediating effect of escape motivation and flow experience was 0.05 (95% CI=0.04-0.08). Conclusion:Frustration not only directly affects online game addiction, but also indirectly affects online game addiction through escape motivation and flow experience.

ObjectiveTo investigate the consistency between the results of passive particle agglutination test ( PPA ) and ELISA on Mycoplasma pneumonia ( M.pneumonia ) infection.Study the diagnostic value of both assays.Methods From November 2010 to May 2011,the serum samples of ]191 patients with respiratorysymptoms were collected fromAffiliatedHospitalof JiningMedical University.All samples were tested for antibody levels against M.pneumonia using PPA,and for IgM,IgG,IgA subclass using ELISA.The correlation between the results of two methods was evaluated by Kappa test and Spearman rank correlation analysis.The variances of the antibody subclasses among samples with different PPA titers and different age groups were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis test.The infection status of patients was analyzed based on ELISA results and the clinical relevance of both assays was evaluated in comparison with clinical diagnosis for samples with high PPA titer.ResultsThe level of agreement between the results of PPA and ELISA was 84.3％,with Kappa value of 0.642 ( P ＜0.01 ).The prevalence of IgM and IgA antibody against M.pneumonia was significantly different among samples with various PPA titers ( P ＜0.05 ).The prevalence of IgM subclass was higher in chill and teeuager groups,while that of IgA and IgG were higher in elderly group.Antibody isotyping results suggested that 58.1％ of PPA positive samples (75 cases),especially 96.4％ of samples with high PPA titer ( 27 cases),were of current infection,which was in consistent with clinical diagnosis.ConclusionPPA showed good consistency with ELISA on diagnosis of Mycoplasma pneumonia infection.Antibody subclass determination hy ELISA indicates disease progression,thus to differentiate current infection from past.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of CT perfusion (CTP) imaging for providing quantitative information about angiogenesis in patients with lung carcinoma and investigate the correlation of CTP enhancement parameters and histological microvessel density (MVD) with lymphatic involvement in peripheral lung carcinoma. MethodsFifty-three patients with pathology-proved peripheral lung carcinoma underwent CT perfusion scan before operation. The enhancement parameters of CTP were calculated based on the time-density curves (TDC) of fist pass phase. All cases were classified into two groups according to pathologic results: tumor with and without lymph node involvement. Two-sample t test was used for the statistics. The ROC curve was used to assess the efficiency of the enhancement parameters of CT perfusion and MVD for predicting lymphatic involvement.Results Tumors with lymph node involvement had significantly higher value of MVD than those without lymph node involvement (64.69±16.34 and 42.67± 16.78, respectively,t=4.84,P<0.01). Tumors with lymph node involvement had significantly higher value of CTP enhancement parameters (PH, M/A, PV) than those without lymph node involvement [PH= (41.79±15.50) and (29.99±10.91) HU,M/A =0.24±0.09 and 0.15±0.06, PV=(2.14±1.09) and (1.27±0.53) ml·min~(-1)·ml~(-1), t=3.21,3.95, 3.66, P<0.01, respectively]. The CTP enhancement parameters (PH, M/A, PV) of lung cancer correlated positively with the MVD, the highest correlation coefficient was between the PV and MVD (r=0.716, P<0.01). MVD and PV had higher values for predicting lymph node involvement in ROC curve analysis.The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy for predicting lymph node involvement were 80.8%, 81.5% and 81.1% or 84.6% ,85.2% and 84.9% respectively if MVD>52/0.74 mm~2 or PV>1.52 ml·min~(-1)·ml~(-1). ConclusionThe CT perfusion PV and histological MVD have good correlation with lymph node involvement in peripheral lung carcinoma and are important predicting parameters before operation.

Objective To investigate the application value of serum auto-antibody detection combined with low-dose spiral computed tomography (LDCT) in early lung cancer screening. Methods From 12568 medical examination crowd (7453 males and 5115 females), 1324 people with high-risk cases of lung cancer in our medical examination center were divided randomly into three groups (LDCT, serum auto-antibody, and serum auto-antibody combined with LDCT groups). All people in this research were screened by chest X-ray. Follow-up was conducted for one year, and the positive screening and diagnosis rates of early lung cancer screening were compared between these groups of high-risk people with lung cancer. Results The positive screening and diagnostic rates of high-risk lung cancer in the serum auto-antibody combined with LDCT group was significantly higher those that in other two groups (P < 0.001). The specificity and sensitivity of serum auto-antibody combined with LDCT group were 89.1% and 88.4%, respectively; the area under the ROC curve was 0.863. Conclusion Serum auto-antibody detection combined with low-dose spiral CT can significantly improve the positive screening rate of lung cancer in high-risk populations, providing a strong theoretical support for lung cancer screening pathway.

Objective: To study the difference of airway volume among the adolescent subjects with various vertical skeletal patterns. Methods: CBCT records of 88 adolescents with normal sagittal facial pattern were collected and divided into 3 groups according to their FH-MP angle. The subjects of the 3 groups were matched in age and sex. Airway volume and cross-sectional areas were compared among the 3 groups with Dolphin software. Correlation analyses of the airway dimensions with the maxillofacial variables was carried out. Results: There were statistical differences among the 3 groups in volumes of velopharynx,glossopharynx and oropharynx, minimal cross-section area of oropharynx and cross-section area on EP plane,and all the measurements decreased from low angle to normal angle to high angle groups(P ＜ 0. 05). Cross-section areas of HP plane and SP plane in low angle group were significantly larger than that of the normal angle and high angle groups(P ＜ 0. 05). The oropharyngeal airway dimensions showed negative correlation with FMA,and positive correlation with Co-Po,Ar-Gn (except cross-section area of HP). Conclusion: The pharyngeal airway volumes among different vertical skeletal patterns in adolescents are different.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the mitigation role of nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal airway in obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) patients with upper airway obstruction after multiple plane operation. Observed parameters included life quality, the clinical value and reliability of nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal airway. METHOD: The nasopharyngeal airway group, 56 patients with PSG in patients diagnosed with severe OSAHS, after setting nasopharyngeal airway. Oropharyngeal airway group, 45 cases of OSAHS by PSG confirmed severe patients home after oropharyngeal airway, the same as the other treatment groups. Line postoperative ECG, oxygen saturation and hemodynamic monitoring. Two groups were compared in 24 h breathing difficulties, low oxygen saturation, hemodynamics, pharyngeal pain and discomfort of the situation. RESULT: The multiplane after 24 h, the nasopharyngeal airway in patients hemodynamics HR (82.3 +/- 2.65) times/min, SBP(124.5 +/- 13.95) mmHg, DBP (76.2 +/- 8.1) mmHg, RPP(10282.0 +/- 1481.7), port pharyngeal airway in patients hemodynamics HR (93.4 +/- 2.89)times/min, SBP (135.1 +/- 16.5) mmHg, DBP (92.25 +/- 11.25) mmHg. There was significant difference between the two group (P < 0.05); pharyngeal pain nasopharyngeal airway group (1.71 +/- 0.45) points, oropharyngeal airway group (310) points, there was significant difference between the two (P < 0.05); nasopharyngeal airway breathing difficulties Group 0, 0 oropharyngeal airway group, no significant difference between the two (P > 0.05); the lowest oxygen saturation nasopharyngeal airway group (95.2 +/- 1.6)%, oropharyngeal airway group (95.41 +/- 1.34)%, no significant difference between the two (P > 0.05). 24 h before and after surgery between patients with the same group in the hemodynamic parameters (HR,SBP,DBP,RPP), pharyngeal pain, lowest oxygen saturation difference was statistically significant areas (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION Ventilation tube in the nasopharynx and oropharynx in patients with severe OSAHS the same period of postoperative respiratory management plane could well lift the upper airway obstruction. However, nasopharyngeal ventilation tube has a better hemodynamic stability and tolerance, it can reduce patient suffering and increased health and safety from, it is a more safe, minimally invasive and effective method.

BACKGROUND:As a dominant breed pig in southwest China,the southern Yunnan small-ear pig has been widely used as an experimental animal in the basic research of other disciplines,but there are still no reports on its application in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. OBJECTIVE:To establish a large animal model of the southern Yunnan small-ear pig with anterior cruciate ligament with autologous Achilles tendon was established. METHODS:Twenty adult female Yunnan small-ear pigs were equally randomized into two groups.In the autologous Achilles tendon group,the right knee anterior cruciate ligament was reconstructed with autologous Achilles tendon as a graft,while in the sham-operated group,a similar operation was performed on the right knee without any treatment of the anterior cruciate ligament.General conditions of each pig were observed and recorded before and 12 months after surgery.Ligaments and grafts were taken for gross observation and MAS scoring.Hematoxylin-eosin staining was performed to observe morphological characteristics of ligaments.The staining and arrangement of type I and type Ⅲ collagen were evaluated by immunohistochemistry.Transmission electron microscopy was used to observe the type,size,diameter,ratio,and distribution of collagen fibers in ligaments. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:All animals had normal diet and activity,good wound healing,no obvious inflammatory reaction,no local purulent infection,and no significant changes in mental and urinary conditions compared with those before surgery.The reconstructed cruciate ligament of the knee was intact,with no stiffness and normal range of motion.Both the anterior drawer and Lachman tests were negative.Gross observation of the graft:12 months after surgery,the grafts was in good position,with good integrity,obvious tension,ligament color close to the original anterior cruciate ligament,and complete surface synovial coverage.Most of the intraarticular ligaments in the autologous Achilles tendon group were defined as MAS I type and a few were defined as MAS Ⅱ type.In the sham-operated group,the intraarticular ligament was defined as MAS I type.Hematoxylin-eosin staining indicated that,12 months after surgery,collagen fibers in the autologous Achilles tendon group began to appear bundled,isotropic,and uniformly arranged,with more obvious isotropic corrugations,and the nuclei were mainly linear or spindle-shaped,which were similar to those in normal anterior cruciate ligament tissue of the sham-operated group.Immunohistochemistry results indicated that,12 months after surgery,there was a higher expression of type I collagen and significantly less expression of type Ⅲ collagen in the reconstructed anterior cruciate ligament in the autologous Achilles tendon group.The degree of type I and type Ⅲ staining was similar in the two groups.Under the transmission electron microscope,the diameter,arrangement and density of collagen fibers in the reconstructed anterior cruciate ligament of the autologous Achilles tendon group were similar to those of the original anterior cruciate ligament at 12 months after surgery,indicating that the ligament remodeling process had been basically completed in the autologous Achilles tendon group at 12 months after surgery.Through a comprehensive evaluation of animal general conditions,ligament general view,MAS score,hematoxylin-eosin staining,immunohistochemistry,and transmission electron microscopy observation,we successfully established a large animal model of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using autogenous Achilles tendon in southern Yunnan small-ear pigs,with good morphological,histological and ultrastructural results.
