Objective To survey the status of the clinical competence and meta-cognitive ability of college nursing students, to explore the correlation between the two factors, and analyze the influencing factors of baccalaureate nursing students′ clinical skills, then explore the approach of improving the clinical competence of nursing students. Methods Totally 184 nursing students from Taishan Medical University were investigated by General Information Questionnaire, Clinical Competence Test Scale, University Students Meta Cognitive Ability Scale. Results Nursing students′ average score of meta cognition was 80.48 ± 11.97, the average score of clinical competence was 121.22 ± 22.74. The meta cognitive ability and clinical competence of nursing undergraduate students both maintained at the middle level. Meta cognitive ability was positively correlated with clinical competence. To some extent, enhancing the meta cognitive ability could help students improve the clinical competence. Conclusions To understand the status and correlation between meta cognitive ability and clinical competence can guide students to learn effectively, can help teachers play a good role in teaching effectively.

Objective To use three different methods-different nursing level,different ADL and nursing manhour to allocate nursing human resources,and find their difference.Methods Using observation method to record nursing time,and then using three different methods to allocate nursing human resources.Results 22 persons were needed using nursing level to allocate,20 persons were needed using ADL method and 15 persons were needed using nursing manhour to allocate nurses.The difference of direct nursing time between patients with primary care and secondary care had statistically significant difference.The difference of direct nursing time between patients with different ADL had statistically significant difference.Conclusions It is different using three methods to allocate nursing human resources.How to select a suitable method to accurately calculate nursing human resources and combine computer and the present methods is the problem which we should solve currently.

Objective To assess the efficacy of the laryngeal mask airway i-gel (LMA i-gel) in patients undergoing neuro-interventional surgery. Methods Forty ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ patients of both sexes, aged 20-60 yr,body mass index ＜ 30 kg/m2, undergoing elective neuro-interventional surgery, were randomized into 2 groups (n = 20 each):LMA i-gel group (group I) and LMA ProSeal group (group P). After induction of anesthesia with TCI of propofol and remifentanil, LMA i-gel and LMA ProSeal were inserted in group I and P respectively. The patients were mechanically ventilated and PETCO2 was maintented at 35-40 mm Hg,SpO2 at 99%-100%. BP and HR were monitored and recorded before induction, immediately after induction, at 1, 3 and 5 min after insertion of LMA and immediately after removal of LMA. The success rate, LMA placement time, leak pressure, peak airway pressure and complications were recorded. Results There was no significant difference in the success rate, the LMA platcement time and peak airway pressure between the two groups (P ＞ 0.05). BP and HR were within the normal range during operation in both groups. The leak pressure and incidence of blood stain and sore throat were significantly lower in group I than in group P (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion LMA i-gel can provide adequate ventilation during operation with less complications and can be used effectively for neuro-interventional surgery.

Results The quality of cervical smears and the positive rate had greatly improved, dramatically improve customer satisfaction. Conclusion ISO15189 implementation of process management standard “two cancer ” screening of cervical cytology screening provided quality assurance.

Objective To study the changes and roles of serum anticardiolipin antibodies (ACA) and plasma TXB_2, 6-K-PGF_ 1? in acute cerebral infarction (ACI).Methods Serum ACA and plasma TXB_2, 6-K-PGF_ 1? levels were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in 143 patients with ACI and were compared with 59 healthy controls. The patients with ACA positive in ACI group were further divided into subgroupⅠwith stroke risk factors and subgroup Ⅱ without stroke risk factors. The levels of TXB_2 and 6-K-PGF_ 1? in the two groups were compared.Results The positive rate of ACA in ACI group (46.85%) was significantly higher than that in control group (11.63%)( P

Objective To investigate the imaging findings of primary bone malignant fibrous histiocytoma (PBMFH) in long bone. Methods MRI and XV ray examinations were performed in 10 patients with PBMFH in long bone confirmed by histology. CT scans were performed in 6 cases. Results Nine cases had single and 1 case had multiple lesions of single bone. Seven cases showed osteolytic bone destruction, and 3 cases showed mixed bone destruction. Only 1 case showed periosteal reaction. Gross bony ridge was seen in 3 cases on CT scan. All the patients demonstrated isointensity or hypointensity on T1WI, and slight hyperintensity signal on T2WI. Necrosis was seen in the lesion of 10 cases. Four cases showed obvious but heterogeneous enhancement after contrast medium injection. Eight cases had soft tissue mass beyond the scope of bone destruction. Conclusions Some imaging features may suggest the diagnosis of PBMFH in long bone.

OBJECTIVE To observe and compare the cytotoxicity induced by andrographolide (AD)and its water soluble derivatives:andrographolide sodium bisulfite(ASB),active pharmaceutical ingredients of Chuanhuning and Yanhuning on human renal tubular epithelial cells (HK-2),and to explore the ASB-induced endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS)mechanism. METHODS HK-2 cells were treated with the above four drugs respectively. The survival rate was examined by methyl thiazolyltetrazolium (MTT) assay and 50% inhibitory concentration (IC50) was calculated. In ASB treated group, Hoechst33342 staining and flow cytometry analysis were used to determine cell apoptosis, intracellular superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity and malondialdehyde(MDA)content were examined, and the protein expressions of binding immunoglobulin protein (Bip),C/EBP-homologous protein (CHOP)and cysteine-containing aspartate-specific protease 4(caspase 4)were detected by Western blotting. RESULTS The four drugs inhibited HK-2 cell growth in a time-dependent and concentration-dependent manner. At 24 h,the IC50 of AD (30.6 μmol · L- 1) was lower than that of others. Active pharmaceutical ingredients of Chuanhuning and Yanhuning (16.2 and 15.6 mmol · L- 1) were very close,ASB was 29.4 mmol · L-1. ASB(0,15,30 and 60 mmol · L-1)increased the apoptotic rate and caused the decrease in SOD activity and the increase in MDA content in a dose-dependent manner. Compared with control group,the protein expression of CHOP increased (P<0.01) at 8 h with ASB (30 and 60 mmol · L-1)treatment,Bip and caspase 4 had no significant change. In addition,at 24 h, ASB(60 mmol·L-1) decreased the expression of Bip(P<0.05),ASB(30 and 60 mmol·L-1)promoted the expression of CHOP(P<0.01),and the protein expression of activated caspase 4 increased in a concentration-dependent manner(P<0.01). CONCLUSION AD and its water soluble derivatives have a toxic effect on HK-2 cells. CHOP and caspase 4 pathway related to ERS is involved in ASB-induced apoptosis.

Objective To investigate the effects of moldavica total flavone on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), nitric oxide (NO) and endothelin-1 (ET-1) in ovalbumin-induced bronchial asthmatic rats, and explore its mechanism. Methods A total of 60 SD rats was randomly divided into control group, model group, dexamethasone (1 mg/kg) group and moldavica total flavone low (90 mg/kg), medium (180 mg/kg) and high (360 mg/kg) dose group. Rats asthma model was established by ovalbumin challenge methods except the control group. After modeling, rats in control and model groups were intragastrically given distilled water, rats in medicine groups were intragastrically given moldavica total flavone and dexamethasone for 30 d. VEGF in lung tissue and ICAM-1 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) were detected respectively by ELISA. The content of ET-1 and NO in BALF were analyzed with radioimmunity method and nitric acid reductase method. Results The VEGF in lung tissue and ICAM-1, NO and ET-1 in BALF were decreased by moldavica total flavone at 180 and 360 mg/kg (P<0.05, P<0.01) in ovalbumin-induced bronchial asthmatic rats. Conclusion Moldavica total flavone is effective in adjusting abnormal increase of VEGF, ICAM-1, ET-1 and NO of bronchial asthma rats.

Objective To investigate the effect of quorum sensing autoinducer 3OC12-HSL of Pseudomonas aeruginosa on the apoptosis of Caco-2 cells and its mechanism. Methods Caco-2 cells were incubated with 3OC12-HSL for 4 h and then examined by MTT method for cytoactivities. Flow cytometry was used to analyze apoptosis rate of Caco-2 cells. Expression of apoptosis associated proteins p-p38/MAPK and NF-κB were detected by Western blot. Results After exposure to 3OC12-HSL for 4 h, cytoactivities of Caco-2 cells was reduced(P<0.05) with dose-dependent pattern, and higher dose of 3OC12-HSL leaded to increasing apoptosis rate of Caco-2 cells(P<0.05). 3OC12-HSL raised expression of apoptosis associated proteins p-p38/MAPK and NF-κB detected by Western blot. Conclusion Quorum sensing autoinducer 3OC12-HSL can effect cytoactivities of Caco-2 cells and may induce its apoptosis by enhancing the expression of p-p38/MAPK and NF-κB protein.
