Objective · To investigate the intention of quitting smoking and influencing factors among husbands in gestational households in Shanghai and provide a scientific basis for establishing smoking cessation strategies. Methods · Pregnant women and their spouses who received antenatal examination in 5 hospitals in Shanghai were asked to finish two versions of questionnaires respectively. Basic demographic information, smoking history, history of smoking cessation and intention of quitting smoking were investigated. The database was set up by EpiData 3.1, and data were analyzed by SPSS 22.0, such as descriptive analysis, χ2 test (univariate), and Logistic regression analysis (multivariate). Results · A total of 282 questionnaires were sent to smoking husbands and 266 effective questionnaires got back with the effective rate of 94.3%. Among them 34.2% smoking husbands had intention of quitting smoking, 18.4% were trying to quit, and 22.9% had tried to quit before. Single-factor analysis showed that influencing factors for intention of quitting smoking among smoking husbands in gestational households included the daily cigarette consumption, overall opinion for smoking, the knowledge about the harm of passive smoking to pregnant women and fetuses, having smoking cessation experience or not, how many people smoking among five intimate friends except family members (P<0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that intention of quitting smoking had relationship with the daily cigarette consumption (OR = 0.456, 95% CI: 0.245 ~ 0.852), overall opinion for smoking(OR=2.443, 95% CI: 1.008 ~ 5.921), having smoking cessation experience or not (OR =0.316, 95% CI: 0.162 ~ 0.616). Conclusion · Intention of quitting smoking is relatively strong in gestational households. It is recommended to strengthen the education of tobacco control for smoking husband in gestational households, and encourage smokers who had smoking cessation experience before to quit smoking again.

Objective To explore the mechanism action of Shoutai Pill in the embryo from the molecular level. Methods The model of normal pregnancy was established with the model of recurrent abortion CBA/J ×DBA/2. The recurrent abortion model CBA/J×DBA/2 in pregnant mice were randomly divided into model group, high-, medium-, low-dose group of Shoutai Pill. From the first day of gestation, mice were given medicine by gavage for 14 d, and then sacrificed. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect differences in protein HSP27,α-enolase, transferrin, annexin A2 protein expression. Results Compared with normal group, decidual HSP27 and α-enolase expression of model group increased significantly, the expression of transferrin and annexin A2 was significantly decreased, with significant differences (P<0.01). Compared with model group, decidual HSP27 andα-enolase expression of Shoutai Pill high and low dose group decreased, annexin A2 expression was increased. Compared with model group, expression of decidual transferrin of Shoutai Pill high dose group increased, with significant differences (P<0.01), decidual transferrin expression of Shoutai Pill medium and low dose group had no significant difference (P>0.05). Conclusion Through the protein expression, Shoutai Pill achieves the maintenance of pregnancy, reducing the rate of embryo resorption, which may be one of the mechanisms of Shoutai Pill preventing miscarriage effect.

Membrane type-1 matrix metalloproteinase (MT1-MMP or MMP14) plays the pivotal role in tumor development and metastasis, so it is a promising drug target in malignancy. To acquire MT1-MMP specific binding peptides, we first analyzed MMPs sequences to find the divergent and specific sequence of MT1-MMP by bioinformatics approach, then set the specific sequence as the sense peptide target and designed antisense peptide library. Finally, by means of molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation and in vitro cell assays, we screened the antisense peptide library against MT1-MMP and further studied the obtained specific peptides. Here, we identified the divergent and specific sequence of AYIREGHE (Named MT1-loop) located in MT1-MMP loop by multiple sequence alignment and established the antisense peptides library with capacity of 1 536 sequences. After two rounds of virtual screening, we obtained five antisense peptides with Rerankscores in the top for further screening. They all interacted with MT1-MMP, and docked well at the active site composed of MT1-loop sequence. Analysis of the affinities of these five antisense peptides to other MMPs (MMP1-3, MMP7-13, MMP14 HPX, MMP16) revealed that the peptide FVTFPYIR was more specific to MT1-MMP. Molecular dynamics simulation showed that the peptide FVTFPYIR might affect the stability of MT1-MMP and thus have effects on its activities. Meanwhile, the peptide FVTFPYIR could specifically inhibit the growth of MG63 and MDA-MB-231 tumor cells both of which expressed MT1-MMP. The work provides a new insight and way for the development of antitumor lead peptides targeting MT1-MMP.

Objective In order to know the influence factors about treatment compliance among patients with type 2 diabetes, and then offer certain positive reference for health education and prevention. Methods Selected 504 patients with type 2 diabetes among 4 hospitals in Guangzhou, interviewed them by self-designed questionnaire. The interview contents included patients' basic socio-demographic characteristics, treatment compliance, diabetes knowledge, social supprot and self-efficacy,and then analyzed the datum about the interview. Results After adjusting for gender, disease course, patients' type, education level, and incoming level, multiple linear regression analysis indicated that drug treatment compliance was positively associated with age, subjective social support, objective social support and degree of support utilization.Lifestyle was positively associated with age, objective social support and degree of support utilization. Conclusions There are several factors associated with the treatment compliance of patients with type 2 diabetes, enhance paitents' self-efficacy and carry out health education are the keys to promote their treatment compliance.

Objective To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of intracranial vertebrobasilar artery stenosis. Methods By cluster sampling, adult Han people were recruited from residential communities. Medical history was documented and body height, body weight, waist circumference, hip circumference and blood pressure were measured. Venous blood samples were collected to determine serum fasting glucose, total cholesterol and triglycerides concentrations. Intracranial vertebrobasilar artery stenosis was diagnosed with transcranial Doppler. The SPSS 11.0 software package was used for data analysis. Results Among 1035 people conforming to the inclusion criteria, intracranial vertebrobasilar artery stenosis was found in 58 (5.6%), 17 with left VA stenosis, 23 with right VA stenosis and 30 with BA stenosis.Univariate analysis showed that subjects with diabetes mellitus had a significantly higher prevalence ( 10. 3% ) of intracranial vertebrobasilar artery stenosis (χ2 = 6. 221, P = 0. 013 ) and the mean systolic blood pressure (( 131.1 ± 25.5) mm Hg, 1 mm Hg = 0. 133 kPa) in the subjects with stenosis was significantly higher than those without (3.2%, ( 124. 1 ± 21.6) mm Hg) (t = 2. 228, P = 0. 026). Logistic regression indicated that diabetes mellitus and systolic blood pressure were independent risk factors for intracranial vertebrobasilar artery stenosis ( diabetes mellitus: OR = 3. 305, P = 0. 023; elevated systolic blood pressure 1 mm Hg: OR = 1. 012, P =0. 047). Conclusions This study demonstrated a considerably high prevalence of intracranial vertebrobasilar artery stenosis in a southern Chinese population. Diabetes mellitus and systolic blood pressure play potent roles in intracranial vertebrobasilar artery stenosis.
