OBJECTIVEThis study aims to investigate the color stability of ceromer with different thicknesses and different types of resin adhesive materials after accelerated aging and provide references for clinical application and selections.
METHODSNine groups of experimental samples were used, and each group contained five samples. We made joint samples with ceromer having three different thicknesses (1.00, 0.75, 0.50 mm) combined with three different resin adhesive materials (RelyX Veneer, RelyX Unicem, Filtek Z350 Flow), respectively. All samples were placed into Xenon Lamp Aging Instrument to implement accelerated aging. Spectrophotometer was used to measure the lightness (L*), red green color value (a*), and blue yellow color value (b*) of all samples before and after accelerated aging. The change of lightness (ΔL), red green color value (Δa), blue yellow color value (Δb), and color variation (ΔE) were also calculated. We investigated the influence of ceromer veneer thicknesses and resin adhesive material types on color variation by two-factor analysis of variance.
RESULTSThe thickness and type factors showed significant influence on ΔE values, and exhibited interactions (P < 0.05). The ΔE values of all experimental groups were lower than 3.3. After the accelerated aging process, all L*, a*, and b* values of the experimental groups decreased and the ΔL values were lower than 2.0.
CONCLUSIONCeromer veneer thickness and resin adhesive material types could affect the color stability of ceromer veneer and resin adhesive materials. The changes in lightness and color in ceromer veneer and resin adhesive materials are considered clinically acceptable after accelerated aging.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of inlay buccal mucosa graft with tubularized incised urethral plates (TIP) urethroplasty for hypospadias repair. MethodsFrom January 2005 to December 2010,a total of 343 cases of hypospadias underwent a buccal mucosa graft with TIP urethroplasty. The patients aged from 6 months to 61 years, mean 7 years. One hundred and forty-seven were primary surgery cases, and 196 cases had a history of failed surgery. In primary cases,124 were distal type and 23 were proximal type. There were 137 distal type cases and 59 proximal types in failed case group.A buccal mucosa graft was harvested from lower lip, fixed into the incised urethral plates in primary cases. In re-do cases, open urethral and remove scar tissue were necessary. ResultsThe width of the buccal mucosa ranged 0.5 - 2.5 cm,length ranged 1.0 - 8.5 cm.All the patients were followed up for 6 - 36 months, average 16 months. In primary group, fistula occurred in 14 cases (9.5% ),and urethral stricture in 2 cases (1.4%),in which 1 proximal case occurred both with urethral stricture and fistula; the overall success rate was 89.8%.In re-do group, fistula occurred in 32 cases ( 16.3% ),and stricture in 13 cases (6.6%),in which 1 distal and 5 proximal cases occurred with both urethral stricture and fistula; the overall success rate was 80.1%. ConclusionsInlay buccal mucosal graft with TIP technique is an effective instrumentality for hypospadias repair because of its high successful rate, good cosmetic effect and without affecting on oral appearance and function in donor site.

Aim To investigate the protective effect of flavonoids from Radix tetrastigmae (RTFs)on lipopo-lysaccharide (LPS)induced acute lung injury (ALI) of aged mice and the mechanism. Methods Aged C57BL/6J mice were bronchially instillated LPS to in-duce ALI.RTFs were orally administered to treat ALI. After 3 days, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) was collected to enumerate leukocytes with Wright-Gi-emsa staining, and to detect inflammatory cytokines with ELISA.ELISA and Western blot methods were al-so used to detect the expression of MAPKs and NF-κB in lung tissues. The activity of NF-κB in nucleic pro-tein extract was detected with TransAMkit. Results
ALI models were successfully induced through LPS in-stillation.RTFs significantly reduced leukocyte,espe-cially neutrophil infiltration in BALF,inhibited IL-1 β, IL-6,IL-1 2p40,TNF-αand sTNF-R1 secretion, and improved pathohistological change of lung tissues.Be-sides,RTFs significantly attenuated the phosphoryla-tion of p38MAPK,NF-κB and the activity of NF-κB. Conclusion RTFs inhibits LPS-induced ALI through p38MAPK and NF-κB pathway and exhibits significant anti-inflammation effect on aged mice.

Objective To investigate the color stability of computer aided design and computer aided manufacture (CAD/CAM) composite ceramic/resin cements after accelerated ageing. Methods Twelve groups (ten samples each group) were used as experimental groups, which were composed of CAD/CAM composite ceramic of three kinds of thickness (0.50, 0.75, 1.00 mm) (Lava Ultimate) associated with resin cements (Variolink N) of four colors (A1, A3, T, BL1). Another three groups of CAD/CAM composite ceramic/resin cements of three different kinds of thickness (0.50, 0.75, 1.00 mm) were used as control groups (ten samples each group). All samples were put into the xenon lamp ageing instrument to implement accelerated ageing. Spectrophotometers were used to measure the lightness (L*), red green color value (a*) and blue yellow color value (b*) of all samples before and after accelerated ageing process, and the changes of color variation (ΔE) was calculated. The effect of composite ceramic thickness and resin cement color on the changes of color variation (ΔE) before and after the ageing of CAD/CAM composite ceramic/resin cement and whether there was an interaction between them were tested by two-way ANOVA. Results Before and after accelerated ageing, the ΔE of CAD/CAM composite ceramic/resin cements were <3.3. Two?way ANOVA showed that the thickness of CAD/CAM composite ceramics had an effect on ΔE (F=27.025, P<0.001), and the color of resin cement also had an effect on ΔE (F=15.606, P<0.001), but there was no interaction between them (F=0.534, P=0.829). Conclusions The thickness of CAD/CAM composite ceramics and the color of resin cements could both affect the color stability of composite ceramic/resin cements combination. However, the resulted color change is within the clinically acceptable range.

Objective:To explore the efficacy and compliance of e-aid cognitive behavioral therapy (eCBTI) in patients with situational insomnia among different age groups. Methods:A total of 194 patients with situational insomnia were recruited via a campaign of the " Prevention and Protection Handbook Against Epidemic" from March to April 2020 in Guangzhou, China.Participants were divided into two groups according to age: under 35 years old ( n=87) and 35 years old and above ( n=107). They all received one-week eCBTI intervention.Insomnia severity index (ISI), Pre-sleep arousal scale (PSAS) and Hospital anxiety and depression scale (HADS) were used to evaluate the severity of insomnia for all participants pre- and post-intervention.The change of each scale within the group and the reduction rate of each scale between groups were compared using t test and one-way ANOVA. Results:(1) Intervention efficacy: in the <35-year-old group, compared with baseline, the scores of ISI scale ((9.2±4.1), (14.8±5.1)), PSAS cognitive arousal subscale ((18.5±8.4), (23.5±6.6)), PSAS((34.3±15.8), (40.3±10.7)), HADS depression subscale ((5.8±3.6), (8.5±4.6)) and HADS anxiety subscale((7.1±3.9), (9.5±4.5) )were statistically significant after eCBTI intervention ( t= 2.88-8.80, all P<0.01), but there was no significant difference in score of PSAS body subscale ((15.8±7.8), (16.8±5.7)). In ≥35-year-old group, compared with baseline, the scores of ISI scale ((9.7±4.2), (14.4±4.3)), HADS depression subscale ((4.6±2.2), (6.6±3.5))and PSAS cognitive arousal subscale ((16.9 ±8.5), (20.0±5.8))were significantly different after intervention ( t= 2.90-6.86, all P<0.01), meanwhile the scores of PSAS body subscale ((14.3±8.0), (13.9±5.2)), PSAS((32.2±16.5), (33.9±9.2)), HADS anxiety subscale((6.1±3.2), (7.0±3.5)) were not statistically significant (all P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the score reduction rate between the two groups before and after intervention (all P>0.05). (2) Compliance: 86 cases dropped out, and the dropout rate was 61.3%.Totally 75 cases (38.7%) completed the 7-day treatment, and 119 cases (61.3%) completed the treatment within 1-6 days.Further study found that there was statistically significant difference in the reduction rate of ISI total score among the three groups with excellent, good and poor compliance ( F=5.655, P=0.004). Conclusion:eCBTI has a good effect on situational insomnia in different age groups, and there is no difference in treatment compliance.
