Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging Technology 2017;33(6):929-932
Objective To analyze the imaging features of testicular solid lesions. Methods The CT and MR findings of 18 cases of testicular solid lesions confirmed by pathology were retrospectively reviewed. The location,attenuation/signal,size,shape,edge,and enhancement patterns of lesions were analyzed. Results In all of the 18 cases,5 cases were seminomas,1 of them was huge with punctate calcification,4 of them had low signal separations in T2WI.Lymphomas were in 4 cases, and all of them were primary diffuse large B cell lymphoma;T2WI was priority with low signal.Solitary fibrous tumor was in 1 case, and the attenuation was lower than that of muscle.Embryo in sinus tumor were in 1 case, and the attenuation/signal was unhomogeneous;the continued enhancement liking grid was obviously seen after contrast injection.Nonspecific inflammatory masses were in 4 cases with involving epididymis in 2 cases, and the attenuation/signal was unhomogeneous.Tuberculous mass were in 3 cases, and 1 case with points of calcificationwas on the edge of lesion,2 cases characterized by short T2 signals. Conclusion It is possible to make an accurate diagnosis by the combination of clinical data with imaging features in most of the testicular solid lesions.

Objective To investigate the anti-apoptotic mechanism of tanshinone ⅡA and the function of prohibitin(PHB)onmyocardial cells apoptosis induced by hydrogen peroxide(H2O2).Methods Myocardial cells were primary culturedneonate rat were cultured in medium with 200 μmol/L H2O2,and the medium was supplemented with tanshinone ⅡA(1 × 10-4 mol/L)in advance for 24 h.PHB in myocardial cells was knocked down by RNA interference, and theexpression level of PHB was determined by Western blotting analysis.Flow cytometric analysis was used to detectapoptosis rate, intracellular calcium concentration([Ca2+]i),and mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP).ResultsH2O2-mediated cell apoptosis resulted in activation of PHB,increasing of[Ca2+]i,and decreasing of MMP.TanshinoneⅡA profoundly inhibited myocardial cell apoptosis induced by H2O2,decreased[Ca2+]i,and increased MMP.Specificsilence of PHB by siRNA down-regulated the expression level of PHB,increased apoptosis rate and[Ca2+]i,and decreasedMMP.Conclusion The results demonstrate that tanshinone ⅡA could attenuate apoptosis induced by H2O2,and theactivation of PHB induced by H2O2 is the major regulatory pathway of cyto-protective gene expression against oxidativestress.

Objective · To explore the effects of brisk walking on blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and autonomic nerve activity of male elderly with hypertension in community-based health centers in Shanghai. Methods · A total of 630 elderly men received brisk walking treatment (>10000 steps/d) voluntarily, who were selected from six community-based health centers in Pudong New Area of Shanghai. Among them, 210 people stick to training for 12 weeks. According to whether suffering from hypertension, the people were assigned to hypertension intervened group (intervention group, n=110) and normal intervened group (control group 1, n=100). Blood pressure, BMI, heart rate and autonomic nerve activity before and after the training were compared. Results · After 12 weeks of training, systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and sympathetic nerve activity of intervention group were significantly lower than those before the training (P<0.05). SBP was also significantly lower than control group 2 (P<0.05). However, heart rate, BMI, parasympathetic nerve activity and baroreceptor reflex sensitivity did not change significantly after the training (P>0.05). Conclusion · Brisk walking treatment lasting for 12 weeks can decrease blood pressure and sympathetic nerve activity in elderly men with hypertension. It is worthy to be popularized in the community.

Objective To investigate the effects of different chromatogram fingerprints analysis methods on the quality evaluation of Chinese herbal medicine. Methods With the chromatogram fingerprints of a Chinese patent medicine in different batches as the analytic object, the quality evaluation of three methods such as peak area ratio, peak area quantification and similarity coefficient were investigated. Results The method of peak area ratio has the highest accuracy rate and the precise rate for quality evaluation, and similarity coefficient and peak area quantification came next. The result of peak area quantification was similar to that by current evaluation method. Conclusion Different chromatogram fingerprints analysis methods would result in a great difference in the quality evaluation of Chinese herbal medicine.

Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control 2015;(1):26-31
Objective To observe the toxicity of fangyouling after one month’s transdermal administration in rabbits and evaluate its security. Methods Forty rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups including a control group and low, middle and high dose groups of fangyouling. The rabbits in the control group were administered with sunflower oil,and the other rabbits were administrated dermally with fangyouling of 50,300 and 2 000 mg/kg respectively once a day for 4 weeks. The general con?dition, the skin irritation reaction, body weight, food consumption, hematology, blood biochemistry, organ coefficients and his?topathological changes of all the rabbits were observed. Results There was no obvious effect on the general condition in all the rabbits. However, the mild skin irritation was observed in 2 rabbits of the middle dose group and 4 rabbits of the high?dose group. The decreases of body weight and food consumption were noted in the high dose group. No changes were detected of hema?tology, blood biochemistry or viscera pathological at all dose levels. Conclusion The dose of non?toxic response of fangyouling is 50 mg/kg at this study condition.

Objective To establish the normal reference ranges of clinical pathology for Beagle dogs in the Good Laboratory Practice ( GLP ) system.Method Sixteen biochemical indexes , seventeen hematological indexs and three coagulation function indexes of 117 Beagle dogs were detected , and the mean value of each index and the normal reference ranges were calculated and compared .Results Only alkaline phosphatase ( ALP ) from the biochemical items was significantly different between males and females (P<0.01),which was higher among males than among females .Three in-dexes of hematology were significantly different between males and females (P<0.01),with red blood cell(RBC), hemo-globin(HGB)and hematocrit(HCT)lower among males than among females. The coagulation function items were not signif-icantly different between the two sexes .Conclusion Some indexes of clinical pathology were significantly different between males and females , which should be considered during statistic analysis on toxicity .Our study has established the normal reference range of clinical pathology for Beagle dogs in the GLP system , which provides reference for toxicity tests .
