Objective To study the effect of noise on the ability of learning and memory of mice, and observe the effect of herba Houttuyniae injection on the change of the ability of learning and memory in noise condition, and then analyses the mechanisms. Methods To choose suitable mice and divide into groups, applying Y-maze and colorimeter to determine the content of MDA and the enzyme activity of SOD, AChE and NOS of mice brain. Results Learning group in Y-maze, noise cause the ability of noise group (12.1±1.20) decrease(P<0.01) compared with the control group(15.1±1.45), but herba Houttuyniae injection can reverse the ability of the mice, the correct frequency is much higher(P<0.01)in herba Houttuyniae group(14.9±1.60). The results is same in the memory group, in Y-maze, noise cause the memory ability of noise group (5.20±1.40) decrease(P<0.01) compared with the control group(6.30±1.32), but herba Houttuyniae injection can reverse the memory ability of the mice, the correct frequency is much higher(P<0.01)in herba Houttuyniae group(6.10±1.10). Either learning or memory group mice, noise can decreased the activity of SOD and NOS of mice brain(P<0.01), but the content of MDA and the ability of AChE elevated(P<0.01). herba Houttuyniae injection can change the effect of noise to mice, the activity of SOD and NOS of mice brain elevated(P<0.01) and the content of MDA and the ability of AChE decreased (P<0.01). Conclusion herba Houttuyniae injection can prevent the ability of learning and memory of mice which decreased by noise, and have the effect of intoxication.

Objective To explore the effect of histamine in paraventricular nucleus (PVN) on the development of neurogenic pulmonary edema (NPE).Methods NPE models of rabbits were made and H 1 receptor antagonist (chlorpheniramine, H 1 group), H 2 receptor antagonist (Cimetidine, H 2 group) or normal sodium (NS group) were injected into PVN of rabbits utilizing the technique of stereotaxis. The degree of pulmonary edema was observed, the content of histamine in PVN was measured by high performance liquid chromatogram, and the ration of lung-water and A/P value were calculated. Results (1) Compared with control group and sham operation group, the content of histamine of PVN in NPE group obviously increased ( P

OBJECTIVE To investigate the phlegm etiology and the prevention measures of respiratory tract infection in 89 cases with heavy type hepatitis in hospital.METHODS From Jan 2004 to May 2007,the phlegm from respiratory tract hospital infection patients were studied retrospectively.RESULTS The main respiratory tract pathogens were the G-bacillui(44.5%),G+ cocci(23.2%),Candida albicans(16.8%),Aspergillus(9.0%) and yeast-like fungi(4.5%).CONCLUSIONS The investigation of the etiology suggests that the prevention of respiratory tract infection be the main measure to decrease hospital infection in heavy type hepatitis patients.

Electric and electronic products are required to pass through the certification on electrical safety performance before entering into the market in order to reduce electrical shock and electrical fire so as to protect the safety of people and property. The leakage current is the most important factor in testing the electrical safety performance and the test theory is based on the perception current effect and threshold. The traditional method testing the current threshold for perception only depends on the sensing of the human body and is affected by psychological factors. Some authors filter the effect of subjective sensation by using physiological and psychological statistical algorithm in recent years and the reliability and consistency of the experiment data are improved. We established an experiment system of testing the human hody's current threshold for perception based on EEG feature analysis, and obtained 967 groups of data. We used wavelet packet analysis to detect a wave from EEG, and used FFT to do spectral analysis on alpha wave before and after the current flew through the human body. The study has shown that about 97.72% alpha wave energy changes significantly when electrical stimulation occurs. It is well proved that when the EEG feature identification is applied to test the human body current threshold for perception, and meanwhile alpha wave energy change and human body sensing are used together to confirm if the current flowing through the human body reaches the perception threshold, the measurement of the human body current threshold for perception could be carried out objectively and accurately.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2010;26(4):742-747
AIM: To establish the cell model of hippocampal neurons impaired by the supernatant of microglia conditioned medium (MCM) induced by LPS, and to study the mechanisms of neuron damage and the protection effect of curcumin. METHODS: The microglia were activated and stimulated by LPS at concentration of 5 μg/L. The supernatant of activated MCM was used to stimulate the hippocampal neurons. The morphology of the neurons was observed under light microscope and the survival rate was detected by MTT. The availability of respiration in the hippocampal neurons was determined by detecting the ratio of lactic acid/pyruvic acid, and the expression of 3 types of 1,4,5-inositol triphosphate (IP3R1, IP3R2, IP3R3) was detected by RT-PCR. RESULTS: The hippocampal neurons were damaged severely by the supernatant of activated MCM, and the morphology of the neurons changed significantly. Compared to control group, the ratio of lactic acid/pyruvic acid in MCM group was elevated and the expression levels of IP3R1 and IP3R3 in the hippocampal neurons were significantly increased. The ratio of lactic acid/pyruvic acid and the expression of IP3R1 in curcumin+MCM group were evidently lower than those in MCM group. However, no effect of curcumin on IP3R3 expression was observed, the changes of neural morphology was also ameliorated in curcumin+MCM group. CONCLUSION: Curcumin protects rat hippocampal neurons from damage induced by LPS-induced microglia condition medium.

Objective To investigate the characteristics of co-infection in initial treatment acute leukemia induction chemotherapy. Methods The clinical features of 179 untreated acute leukemia patients with nosocomial infection were analyzed after combined chemotherapy. Results In the 179 patients,151cases achieved complete remission, the complete remission rate was 84.4 %,82 cases suffered from nosocomial infections, the incidence of infection was 45.8 %.The sites of infection were oral, anal, lung,as well as primary foci was not clear bacteremia. In 428 specimens, the isolated bacterial colony counted a total of 66,the number of fungal colonies was 9,the bacterial colony was G-bacteria-based.G-bacteria had different degrees of resistance to many antibiotics.Extended-spectrum β-lactamases strains had not been detected in these specimens. Conclusion Acute leukemia patients is easy to co-infection after chemotherapy.Control and prevention of nosocomial infections should run throughout the entire treatment process, application of laminar flow bed helps reduce the newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients with nosocomial infection incidence.
