Objective To estabilish a RP-HPLC method for simultaneous determination of benzoic acid and salicylic acid in Compound Benzoic acid tincture.Methods ODSC18 chromatographic column made from Dalian Yilite(4.6mm × 150mm,5μm);mobile phase:methanol: water=60|: 40(pH adjust to 3.2);column temperature:30℃;detection wavelength:242nm;fiow rate:0.9ml/min.Results Ranges of linear of benzoic aci and salicylic acid were 30～120mg/L(R2=0.9995)and 15～60mg/L(R2=0.9988).The average recovery rate was 99.2％(RSD=0.95％)and 99.1％(RSD=1.36％).The RSDs of intra-day were 1.57％ and 1.57％(n=5).The BSDs of interday were 1.43％ and 1.59％(n=5).With t test,difference between Acid-base titration and RP-HPLC was not significant(P＞0.05).Conclusion The metold is simple,accurate and sensitive and can be used for the quality control of Compound Benzoic acid tincture.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of acarbose combined with metformin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes with hyper-lipidemia. Methods:A retrospective study was adopted. A total of 2000 patients with type 2 diabetes and hyperlipidemia from general practice in the center were enrolled, and among them, 1050 patients were treated with acarbose, and the other 950 ones were treated with acarbose combined with metformin. After 3-month treatment, the therapeutic effect and adverse drug reactions were compared be-tween the groups. The changes of blood glucose and blood lipid were observed before and after the treatment. Results:The total effec-tive rate was 94. 83% in the combined group, which was significantly higher than that in the control group (72. 38%, P<0. 05). Af-ter the treatment, the blood glucose levels of both groups significantly decreased (P<0. 05), and the decrease in the combined group was more significant than that in the control group (P<0. 05). After the treatment, the serum lipid levels of both groups were signifi-cantly improved (P<0. 05), and the improvement in the combined group was much better than that in the control group (P<0. 05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of drug reactions between the groups (P>0. 05). Conclusion:Acar-bose combined with metformin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes with hyperlipidemia can significantly improve blood glucose levels and blood lipid levels, and the clinical efficacy should be affirmed.

Objective To explore the adeB gene expression level impact of tigecycline for multidrug resistance Acinetobacter baumannii.Methods 57 strains multidrug resistance Acinetobacter baumannii were separated from September.2012 to September.2014.Epsilome test method was used to detect minimum inhibitory concentration of tigecycline against multi drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii.PCR amplification detected adeB, adeR, adeS efflux pump gene distribution.Real-time fluorescent RT-PCR detection technology were used to detect relative expression level of each gene. Results 57 strains of multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter Bauman MIC value were 0.1-8μg/mL.The calculation of MIC50 =2μg/mL, MIC90 =4μg/mL. 49 strains sensitivity accounted for 86.0%, 5 intermediate strains accounted for 8.8%, 3 resistant strains accounted for 5.2%.57 strains of bacteria were divided into 38 strains lower sensitivity group and 19 strains sensitive group, with reduced susceptibility in lower sensitivity group 30 strains, accounting for 78.9%, sensitive group were all sensitive to tigecycline, accounting for 100%, for tigecycline susceptibility sensitive group was significantly higher than that of lower sensitivity group ( P <0.65 ) .41 strains were detected adeB, adeR, adeS gene in all strains, accounted for 86.0%, 29 strains were detected adeB, adeR, adeS genes in lower sensitivity group, accounted for 70.7%,12 strains were detected in sensitive group accounted for 63.2%, the difference between the two groups had no statistical significance.Fluorescent RT-PCR detection results showed that the relative expression of adeB gene with lower susceptibility group was significantly lower than that of sensitive group (P<0.05), relative expression levels of adeR and adeS gene in two groups had no significant difference.Conclusion AdeB gene plays an important role in tigecycline for multidrug resistance Acinetobacter baumannii, but may also exist outside of the adeB gene is involved in the regulation of resistance to tigecycline.

Objective To study the 5 years contraceptive efficacy of levonorgestrel intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) and the ovarian functions in amenorrhea women. Methods LNG-IUS and TCu 380A IUD were randomly inserted in 2 groups of women, 50 each. Women were followed annually for 5 years. Serum follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), prolactin (PRL), estradiol (E 2), and T levels in 14 women with amenorrhea, and endometrial biopsies were obtained in 9 cases. Results By the end of 5 years, there were 2 pregnancies in TCu 380A group, but none in LNG-IUS group; and 24 amenorrhea cases in LNG-IUS. The chromatography condition was ODS C18 column (4. 6mm×255mm,25μm),mobile phase Methanol-0. 2% HAc,and flow speed 1. 0ml ? min-1, detection wavelength 363nm.Results In this experiment,the standard fingerprint had been established and the similitude degree of 10 batches bidens bipinnata L. has also been obtained(0.941～0.999). Conclusion The method was accurate,reliable,good reproducibility, strong characteristic and could be used for the standard of general judgement and the quality estimation about the bidens bipinnata L.

Objective: To measure the iodine nutritional status of students in Zhoushan Islands and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of iodized salt prophylaxis. Methods: A comparative study was carried out in 12 classes which were selected from Dinghai(iodized salt district) and Daishan(non-iodized salt district) of Zhoushan Islands by random sampling. Mann-Whitney test was used to compare the urinary iodine concentration and dietary iodine intake of the two groups. Spearman correlation was used to look for the correlation between urinary iodine concentration and dietary iodine intake in the two groups. Ordinal regression was used to analyze the factors that affect the urinary iodine concentration. Poisson regression was used to analyze the risk factors of goiter.Results: The urinary iodine concentration in non-iodized salt district was 129 ?g/L,which was lower than 169 ?g/L in iodized salt district(u=6.302,P=0.000) , whereas the daily iodine intake in the two groups was 105 ?g/d and 184 ?g/d respectively, the difference was also significant(u=4.710,P=0.000). The influence of sex and iodized-salt intake was significant in the final regression model (P0.05). Objective To investigate the application of intravascular ultrasonography in guiding the performance of interventional management for coronary true bifurcation lesions. Methods A total of 62 patients with coronary true bifurcation lesions, who were admitted to authors’ hospital during the period from April 2010 to Jan. 2014 to receive double stenting treatment, were included in this study. The patients were randomly divided into intravascular ultrasonography group (IVUS group, n=32) and coronary angiography group(CA group, n=30). The minimal lumen diameter(MLD), the minimal lumen area(MLA), the reference lumen diameter (RLD), the length of the lesion and the diameter and length of the implanted stent were determined, and the results were compared between the two groups. During the follow-up period lasting for 12 months after percutaneous coronary intervention, the incidence of in - stent thrombus, target lesion revascularization (TLR) and major adverse cardiac events were recorded. Results The MLD values of the main artery and branches in IVUS group were higher than those in CA group, but the difference was not significant (P>0.05). The MLA, RLD, the diameter and length of the implanted stent in IVUS group were significantly larger than those in CA group (P<0.05). The incidence of in-stent thrombus, TLR and major adverse cardiac events in IVUS group were lower than those in CA group (P>0.05). Conclusion Intravascular ultrasound- guided double stent implantation for coronary true bifurcation lesions can help optimize the performance of stenting and improve the long-term outcome of percutaneous coronary intervention.

AIM: To observe the change of boiling point in the concentration of medical herb's extract liquor. METHODS: Extract liquors of typical herb. such as Radix salviae Miltiorrhizae, Flos chrysanthemi indici, Folium isatidis and Radix Astragli, were concentrated in the normal pressure, its boiling-points and mol concentrations were recorded and its curve was depicted. RESULTS: At the same concentration, the boiling points of different kinds of Chinese medicinal material is different. CONCLUSION: In the concentration process of distillation the change of solvent and solute should be taken into account.

The paper reports the systematic study on felodipine and its impurities in tablets, to improve its quality standards for the control of the related substances. HPLC-DAD, UPLC-MS, IR and NMR methods were used for the isolation of felodipine and its impurities in tablets, their identification and the zebrafish animal model was used for the analysis of the toxic impurities. In felodipine material and its tablets, three impurities are isolated and identified. They are impurity 1 [dimethyl 4-(2, 3-dichlorophenyl)-2, 6-dimethyl-1, 4-dihydropyridine-3, 5-dicarboxylate], impurity 2 [ethyl methyl 4-(2, 3-dichlorophenyl)-2, 6-dimethylpyridine-3, 5-dicarboxylate] and impurity 3 [diethyl 4-(2, 3-dichlorophenyl)-2, 6-dimethyl-1, 4-dihydropyridine-3, 5-dicarboxylate], separately. The result of zebrafish animal model analysis showed that the teratogenic effects of four compounds were: impurity 3 > or = felodipine > impurity 1 > impurity 2, lethal effects were as follows: impurity 2 = impurity 3 > felodipine > or = impurity 1. This study confirmed the toxicity of three impurities in felodipine. According to the results, the paper suggested the amendments to the standard of the medicine and provided the support to the control of impurities in the manufacturing process.

Objective To investigate and compare the clinical values of serum procalcitonin (PCT)and high sensitivity C-reac-tive protein (hs-CRP)levels for predicting the blood culture positivity in the patients with sepsis.Methods 132 adult patients with sepsis were enrolled in this study.Blood cultures were performed before the antibacterial therapy.The white blood cell (WBC) count,absolute neutrophil count(ANC),levels of PCT and hs-CRP were determined.The application value of PCT and hs-CRP for predicting the positive blood culture results were evaluated.Results The median serum PCT levels in the blood culture positive group and the blood culture negative group were 7.92 ng/mL and 0.95 ng/mL respectively,the difference had statistical signifi-cance(P <0.01).The receiver operating characteristic (ROC)curves showed that PCT had a higher predictive accuracy for blood culture positivity compared with hs-CRP,the area under the curve (AUC)was 0.810(P =0.001)and 0.690(P =0.274),respec-tively.The combined detection of PCT and hs-CRP for predicting the blood culture positive results was similar to the performance of PCT alone,AUC as 0.885 (P =0.001 ).The median cut point of PCT was 0.91 ng/mL,the sensitivity of PCT for predicting blood culture positivity was 90%.This sensitivity remained unchanged when PCT cut point was1.14ng/mL.Using the PCT cut points of 0.91 and 1.14 enabled reducing the submitted blood cultures by 51% and 56% respectively.Conclusion Compared with hs-CRP,serum PCT level could better predict the blood culture positivity in the patients with sepsis.
