AIM:To determine the contents of euphorbiasteroid and lathyrol diadetate benzozte in Semen Euphorbiae and Semen Euphorbiae Pulveratun from different habitats.METHODS:A kromasil C_(18) column(150 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm)was used with methanol-water(68:32)as the mobile phase and UV detection was at 280 nm.RESULTS:The linear ranges of euphorbiasteroid and lathyrol diadetate benzozte were from 0.200 μg to 1.200 μg and 0.206 μg to 1.651 μg(r = 0.999 7,r = 0.999 9).The contents of euphorbiasteroid and lathyrol diadetate benzozte in Semen Euphorbiae from different habitats ranged from 0.450 8% to 0.625 1 % and 0.692 3% to 0.752 9%.The contents of two kinds of compositions in Semen Euphorbiae Pulveratun ranged from 0.156 8% to 0.221 1% and 0.232 2% to 0.283 0%.CONCLUSION:The method for quantitating euphorbiasteroid and lathyrol diadetate benzozte in Semen Euphorbiae is accurate and reliable,and can be used to control the quality of toxicity Semen Euphorbiae and Semen Euphorbiae Pulveratun.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of Compound changpu yizhi decoction combined with nimodipine on clini-cal symptoms,cognitive function and cerebral blood flow velocity of patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI)after stroke, and its medication safety. METHODS:84 MCI patients after stroke in our hospital from Feb. 2012 to Oct. 2014 were selected as re-search objects and randomly divided into observation group and control group,42 cases in each group. All patients received basic preventive treatment;control group was additionally given Nimodipine tablet 30 mg,tid,po;based on it,observation group was given Compound changpu yizhi decoction,one dose a day,taking with warm water every morning and evening. They were treated for 3 months. Clinical symptoms of patients were compared by vascular dementia TCM syndrome table before and after treatment, mini-mental state examination(MMSE)was used to compare the cognitive function of patients before and after treatment,cerebral blood flow velocity before and after treatment and incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were compared. RESULTS:Before treatment,there was no statistical significance in clinical symptom scores,cognitive function score and blood flow velocity of main artery between 2 groups(P>0.05). Clinical symptom scores of 2 groups were decreased significantly,while cognitive function and cerebral blood flow velocity were increased significantly;there was statistical significance,compared to before treatment (P<0.05). Memory scores,pain scores,complexion scores,tongue scores,pulse scores,additional scores and total scores in observa-tion group were obviously lower than control group;orientation ability scores,recall ability scores,language skills scores and com-prehensive cognitive function scores in observation group were obviously higher than control group;blood flow velocities of anteri-or cerebral artery,middle cerebral artery,posterior cerebral artery,vertebral artery and basilar artery in observation group were obvi-ously faster than control group,with statistical significances(P<0.05). The incidence of ADR in observation group and contral group were 11.90%and 9.52%,there was no statistical significance between 2 groups(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Compound changpu yi-zhi decoction combined with nimodipine helps to relieve clinical symptoms of MCI patients after stroke,improve cerebral blood circulation and cognitive function,with good safety.

Objective: To explore the relationship between gross motor development and perceived motor competence among children aged 7-8 years old. Methods: Random cluster sampling method was used to conduct a test among 162 students aged 7-8(78 boys,84 girls)by using Test of Gross Motor Development Ⅲ(TGMD-3) and 3 and Pictorial Scale of Perceived competence and Social Acceptance for Young Children(PSPC-P). Results: There were no statistical significance of perceived motor competence in different genders,and ages among children(t=-0.82, -0.58, P>0.05). Gross motor development differed significantly in different age groups (t=-4.79, P<0.01). Eight-year-old group(63.10±5.70) scored higher than 7-year-old group(57.96±7.76).There exists clear association between gross motor scores and perceived motor competence (r=0.29, P＜0.01), as well as locomotor development and manipulative development with perceived motor competence (r=0.21, 0.24, P<0.05). Conclusion There are close correlations between gross motor development and perceived motor competence among children aged 7 to 8 years. Manipulative development shows obvious influences on perceived motor competence. No gender differences are found in perceived motor competence.

Post-stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI) is a series of syndromes caused by stroke, involving impairment of one or more cognitive functions, such as attention, language function, executive function, visuospatial cognition, episodic memory and working memory, etc. The traditional treatment methods of PSCI include drug therapy and cognitive training. The treatment modalities are limited and the maintenance effect is not good. Therefore, an auxiliary treatment method is urgently needed to improve its therapeutic effect. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a safe and mature non-invasive brain stimulation technique, which generates weak direct current (1-2 mA) through electrodes placed on the scalp to change the resting membrane potential of neurons, regulate the excitability of the cerebral cortex, so as to achieve the purpose of treatment. This article reviews the effect of tDCS on PSCI, and hopes to provide reference and guidance for its rehabilitation treatment.

OBJECTIVETo study the role of Slit-Robo signaling in the proliferation of human mucoepidermoid carcinoma Mc3 cells.

METHODSWe measured the expressions of Slit2 and Robo1 proteins in human mucoepidermoid carcinoma Mc3 cells using immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry. To test the role of Slit-Robo signaling in the proliferation of the cells, we treated the cells with the monoclonal antibody R5 against Robo1 receptor extracellular domain and observed the changes in the cell proliferation by cell counting and colonogenic assay; the expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in the cells following the treatment was measured with flow cytometry.

RESULTSTreatment of Mc3 cells with the monoclonal antibody R5 caused significantly suppressed cell growth and proliferation and obviously lowered the expression of PCNA.

CONCLUSIONSlit-Robo signaling can suppress the proliferation of Mc3 cells possibly by up-regulating the expression of PCNA.

Objective: To investigate incidence of traffic injury and its associated factors among secondary school students in Shanghai, so as to provide scientific basis for intervention. Methods: Using the method of multi stage stratified random cluster sampling, an on-the-spot anonymous questionnaire survey was conducted among 19 629 adolescents from 16 districts in Shanghai from May to June 2021. The multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze possible associated factors. Results: The rate of road traffic injuries among secondary school students in Shanghai was 0.74%, the highest reporting rate among secondary vocational school students (1.35%), followed by junior high school students (0.72%), and the lowest reporting rate of road traffic injuries among senior high school students (0.55%), with statistically significant differences ( χ 2=13.39, P <0.01). The results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the junior high school ( OR =0.56, 95% CI =0.35-0.89) or senior high school ( OR = 0.40 , 95% CI =0.24-0.68) and residential school ( OR =0.39, 95% CI =0.18-0.88) were protective factors of road traffic injuries( P <0.05). Male ( OR =1.65, 95% CI =1.14-2.37), unaware of seat belt ( OR =6.38, 95% CI =2.81-14.50), had a cycling chase/fight ( OR =2.33, 95% CI =1.39-3.90), music or phone calls on a bicycle ( OR =2.54, 95% CI =1.72-3.75) were positively correlated with road traffic injury( P <0.05). Conclusions The road traffic injury among secondary school students in Shanghai is related to many factors, and traffic hazards are common among students in all school sections. Targeted measures should be taken to strengthen traffic safety knowledge education and intervention in healthy behaviors among adolescents, in order to reduce the incidence of road traffic injury.
