1.Hyperuricemia and Ischemic Stroke
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2006;0(12):-
Epidemiological studies have suggested that the increase of uric acid level has a direct correlation with the risk of ischemic stroke. However, the significance of this correlation remains controversy. Most findings have suggested that hyperuricemia is a risk factor for stroke and poor outcome after stroke.Very few studies have suggested that hyperuricemia has protective effect on acute ischemic stroke.Although the effect of hyperuricemia on pathophysiological mechanisms of stroke remains uncertain, the interventional strategy by lowering the levels of blood uric acid for preventing ischemic stroke is worth to be considered. This article mainly reviews the recent clinical trials data and related mechanisms.

4.The significance of Inhibition of NF-?B by I?B? in Cerebral Ischemia
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2006;0(06):-
Nuclear factor-?B (NF-?B) is a nuclear transcription factor that regulates the expressions of multiple genes. It can be activated during cerebral ischemia; it is closely correlated with the inflammatory reaction and apoptosis during cerebral ischemia. NF-?B inhibitor ? (I?B?), an important inhibitor factor of NF-?B, can regulate the survival and death of neuron in the ischemia penumbra. Therefore, the inhibition of the degradation of I?B? and the prevention of the activation of NF-?B with drugs or molecular biological methods has become an important approach in study of the effect of NF-?B at present. Recent studies have indicated that I?B? itself may also participate in the regulation of apoptosis.

Objective To summarize the strategies for perioperative nursing of the patients with radical resection of esophageal carcinoma under combination of thoracoscopy and laparoscopy.Method Eighteen patients with radical resection of esophageal carcinoma were treated with a combination of thoracoscopy and laparoscopy and their histories were retrospectively reviewed. Results Before the operation, nursing care focused on psychological nursing and preparations of operating room and various operating instruments.During the operation, the key nursing points included position care, proper cooperation with doctors, strict aseptic procedures and non-tumor techniques to reduce postoperative infections and dissemination of tumor cells. All the patients lived through the successful operations, their recovery satisfactory. The blood loss ranged from 100 mL to 300 mL,averaged(225.00±24.30)mL. Conclusions Radical resection of esophageal carcinoma under the combination of thoracoscopy and laparoscopy is technically feasible and safe. The perioperative nursing care is important for the improvement of operative success.

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1993;0(03):-
Objective To study the effect of Thrombolytic Compound (TC) injected into internal carotid at superacute stage. Methods 66 Wistar rats were divided into group A,B and C randomly. Focal cerebral ischemic model was established by improved microthromboembolus method. The rats were intubated conversely into internal carotid 3h after cerebral ischemia for treatment with normal saline (group A),Urokinase(group B) and TC(group C) respectively. The neural functions of these rats were evaluated at 2 h after cerebral ischemia,2.5 and 23.5h after treatment and pathological changes were observed under optic and electron microscopes 24 h following thrombolysis. Results There was no significant difference of neural function scores among the three groups before administration. The scores of group C were lower than those of group A after treatment ( P

Objective To investigate the effect of Diane-35 and metformin on blood-adipose and sex hor-mone in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome ( PCOS ) .Methods 52 cases with PCOS admitted from Jan . 2010 to Jan.2013 were selected as research objects .They were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group .The control group were treated with metformin , while the observation group with metformin and Diane-35.Follicle-stimulating hormone ( FSH), luteinizing hormone ( LH), testosterone ( T), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride(TG), high density lipoprotein(HDL), low-density lipoprotein(LDL)in the 2 groups of pa-tients were tested before and after treatment .Results The levels of blood-adipose and sex hormone between the 2 groups had no statistical difference (P>0.05).The level of T reduced in the control group after treatment , and there was statistical difference compared with that before treatment ( P <0.05 ) .FSH and LH levels did not change obviously in the observation group .Levels of LH and T in the observation group reduced , and had statisti-cal difference with that before treatment (P<0.05).FSH levels did not change significantly after treatment .Lev-els of LH and T had statistical difference between the 2 groups(P<0.05).Levels of TC, TG, and LDL reduced after treatment and had statistical difference compared with those before treatment ( P<0.05 ) while HDL signifi-cantly increased after treatment(P<0.05).Levels of TC, TG, HDL, and LDL between the 2 groups were signif-icantly different(P<0.05).Conclusion Metformin combined with Diane-35 are effective in improving the lev-els of blood-adipose and sex hormone in patients with PCOS .

Chinese Journal of Neurology 2001;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the expression of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-?B ) in focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion and effects of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) pretreatment. Methods The focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion model was made by suture occlusion of right middle cerebral artery. The rats were randomly assigned to nine groups: sham operated group, 6 hours and 24 hours ischemia groups, 6 hours and 24 hours reperfusion groups, corresponding NAC treatment groups. NAC groups’ rats were treated with NAC (150 mg/kg) prior to occlusion. NF-?B p65 were detected by immunohistochemistry. Brain was stained with 1% triphenyltetrazolium chloride for assessment of the volume of infarction. Apoptosis was detected by terminal-deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated nick end labeling (TUNEL).Results The translocation of NF-?B from cytoplasm to nucleus increased significantly after ischemia and reperfusion. The expression of NF-?B p65 decreased in NAC pretreatment groups, which were respectively (0.462% ? 0.022%) in 6 hours ischemia-reperfusion groups, (0.452% ? 0.015%) in 24 hours ischemia-reperfusion groups, as compared with saline control groups which were (0.563% ? 0.028%) and (0.554% ? 0.013%) (P

Chinese Journal of Nursing 2009;44(12):1071-1072
This paper introduces the perioperative nursing of 47 patients undergoing intraperitoneal parastomal hernia repair. After the surgery, two cases suffered from incision infection and two cases with subcutaneous hydrops.Three patients suffered from chronic pain or foreign bodies sensation, which disappeared at 3-6 months later. No recurrence occurred at 6-24 months after the surgery. It is suggested that the key points of perioperative nursing were careful preoperative symptom care and bowel preparation,as well as postoperative observation and correct discharge instruction.
