The Chinese and English published literature regarding the effects of acupuncture on microcirculation in recent years were analyzed, and it was found out that the theory of TCM meridian had subtle connection with microcirculation on structure and function, which could provide a possible breakthrough for the research of meridian essence. Acupuncture, through multiple links, multiple paths and multiple levels, could regulate microcirculation under physiological or pathological condition, which was a bidirectional benign adjustment function, and reflected the characteristic of acupoint specificity. Due to many shortcomings in the current studies, studies with rigorous design, large sample size and multicenter are expected in the further to make a standard systematized research.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate protective effects of different doses of atorvastatin pretreatment on non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS) patients underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). METHODS:A total of 81 NSTE-ACS patients in a hospital during Jan. 2014-Apr. 2016 were divided into high-dose group(40 cases)and low dose group(41 cases)according to random number table. High-dose group was given Atorvastatin calcium tablet 80 mg 12-24 h before PCI,and then 40 mg 2 h before PCI. Low-dose group was given Atorvastatin calcium tablet 10 mg 12-24 h before PCI. Fractional flow reserve(FFR),coronary flow reserve(CFR)and index of microcirculation resistance(IMR)after surgery were all observed in 2 groups. The levels of creatine kinase(CK),creatine kinase myocardial band(CK-MB)and high sensitive C-re-active protein (hs-CRP) were compared between 2 groups before and after surgery. RESULTS:There was no statistical signifi-cance in FFR and CFR after surgery between 2 groups (P>0.05);IMR of high-dose group was significantly lower than low-dose group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in CK,CK-MB or CRP between 2 groups before surgery(P>0.05). After surgery, the levels of CK-MB and CRP in low-dose group were significantly higher than high-dose group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in CK level between 2 groups after surgery (P>0.05). No obvious ADR was found in 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS:During PCI,pre-treatment with high-dose of atorvastatin(80→40 mg)could effectively improve microcirculatory disturbance and inhibit inflammatory reaction of NSTE-ACS patients.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) at Zhongwan(CV 12) on the energy metabolism along the conception vessel(CV) in volunteers with yang-deficiency constitution, and to explore the relationship of electroacupuncture regulation and body constitution.
METHODSEighteen volunteers with mild constitution and 18 volunteers with yang-deficiency constitution were collected out of 200 students of Fujian University of TCM by body constitution questionnaire. Skin microcirculatory blood perfusion units (MBPU) at Danzhong (CV 17), Xiawan(CV 10) and Qihai(CV 6) of CV were measured by a laser Doppler flowmetry in the normal condition and after EA stimulation at Zhongwan(CV 12) for 20 min.
RESULTS(1)Before treatment, (1)MBPU values at Danzhong(CV 17), Xiawan(CV 10) and Qihai(CV 6) in the yang-deficiency constitution group were lower than those in the mild constitution group, but there was no statistical significance (both P>0. 05) except Danzhong(CV 17) (P<0. 01). (Z)As for the three acupoints in the mild constitution group, MBPU level of Danzhong(CV 17) was higher than that of Xiawan(CV 10) without statistical significance(P->0. 05),and MBPU values of Danzhong(CV 17) and Xiawan(CV 10) were higher than that of Qihai(CV 6) (both P<0. 01). (3About the three acupoints in the yang-deficiency constitution group, MBPU result of Danzhong(CV 17) was lower than the value of Xiawan(CV 10), but higher compared with Qihai(CV 6)(P<0. 05, P<0. 01). MBPU of Xiawan(CV 10) was higher than Qihai (CV 6) as well(P<0. 01). (2) MBPU values of Danzhong(CV 17), Xiawan(CV 10) and Qihai(CV 6) were increased apparently compared with those before treatment after EA stimulation at Zhongwan(CV 12) for 20 min in the two groups(all P<0. 01). (3) The rise rates of MBPU level about Danzhong(CV 17) and Qihai(CV 6) in the yang-deficiency constitution group were higher than those in the mild constitution group without statistical significance after EA at Zhongwan(CV 12) for 20 min(both P>0. 05).
CONCLUSIONThe energy metabolism in CV of volunteers with yang-deficiency constitution is declined, especially Danzhong(CV 17). EA can rise energy metabolism in CV of mild or yang-deficiency constitution volunteers through regulating MBPU along meridian.

OBJECTIVETo compare the prevalence of hypertension between low birth weight infant (LBWI) women and non-LBWI women.
METHODSA retrospective cohort study was applied and 3 172 pregnant women giving births during October 1976 to December 2008 in our hospital and underwent physical check-up between 2010 and 2011 at the Kailuan medical group were included and divided into LBWI group and non-LBWI group by the history of LBWI. Prevalence of hypertension was obtained during the follow-up program. Multiple logistic regression analysis was used to assess the relative risk of hypertension.
RESULTSA total number of 3 172 women, with an average age of 42.3 years old were divided into LBWI group (n = 147) and non-LBWI group (n = 3 025), with the average birth weights of their infants were 2.31 kg and 3.39 kg, respectively. The prevalence of hypertension from the follow-up program was significantly higher in LBWI group than that in the non-LBWI group (23.8% vs. 16.9%, P < 0.05). After adjustment for other traditional risk factors, the risk of hypertension in LBWI group was 1.60 (95%CI:1.02-2.53) folds higher than that in the non-LBWI group.
CONCLUSIONPrevalence of hypertension in women with LBWI was higher than that in those women without LBWI. History of LBWI seemed to have had an increased risk to develop hypertension.

Objective:To observe the expression changes of microRNA(miR)-122 in liver tissue of rats infected with Clonorchis sinensis and its correlation with expression level of inflammatory cytokines. Methods:Totally 24 SPF grade Wistar male rats were selected and randomly divided into a control group (100 μl physiological saline gavage), a 4-week infection group (100 Clonorchis sinensis metacercariae gavage), and an 8-week infection group (100 Clonorchis sinensis metacercariae gavage) based on body weight (100-120 g) using a random number table method, with 8 rats in each group. Starting from the third week of infection, rat feces were collected and directly smeared with physiological saline for identification of Wistar rat animal models infected with Clonorchis sinensis. After 4 and 8 weeks of infection, the rats in the 4- and 8-week infection groups were euthanized, while 4 rats in the control group were euthanized, respectively. The heart blood and left lobe liver tissue and serum samples were collected from each group of rats. Using hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining to observe liver pathological damage under the light microscope, real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR to detect the expression level of miR-122 in liver tissue, and Luminex 200 liquid suspension chip to detect the expression levels of serum inflammatory cytokines [tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), interleukin-1β(IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6)]. The correlation between miR-122 and inflammatory cytokines was analyzed using Pearson correlation. Results:Under the light microscope, the morphology of hepatocytes in control group was normal, and no inflammatory cell infiltration was observed. There was inflammatory cells such as lymphocyte, eosinophil and other inflammatory cell infiltration around the portal area in the 4-week infection group. The hepatocytes of the 8-week infected rats were arranged in a disordered manner, with varying degrees of swelling, loose and lightly stained cytoplasm, and some hepatocytes showed watery degeneration; additionally, bile duct dilation and thickening of the bile duct wall were observed in the liver tissue. There were statistically significant differences of liver miR-122 (1.00 ± 0.32, 2.57 ± 0.60, 3.63 ± 1.63), serum TNF-α [(0.14 ± 0.06), (0.43 ± 0.09), (0.61 ± 0.10) ng/ml], and IL-6 expression levels [(0.03 ± 0.01), (1.06 ± 0.24), (1.48 ± 0.33) ng/ml] in control group, 4- and 8-week infection groups ( F = 13.36, 69.99, 82.23, P < 0.001). There was no statistically significant difference in expression level of IL-1β between different groups ( F = 2.15, P = 0.141). The Pearson correlation analysis showed that the expression level of miR-122 was positively correlated with the expression levels of inflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-6 ( r = 0.67, 0.80, P < 0.001). Conclusion:Clonorchis sinensis infection can increase the expression of miR-122 in the host liver tissue, and the miR-122 is closely related to the expression levels of inflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-6.

Objective To develop a reasonable plan of monitoring personal internal exposure dose. Methods This paper introduced the methods of monitoring the individual dose and direct measurement of three representative radionuclides. Results The maximum monitoring periods were determined according to the radionuclide retention characteristics and the reporting standards and requirements, which were m(1)/m(T/2) ≤ 3 and m(T/2)/m(T) ≤ 3. The lower detection limit of the instrument was derived from the monitoring periods and the annual radionuclide intake limit, which should be lower than the derived method detection limit of the corresponding radionuclide. Then the measuring duration of the instrument that meets the corresponding conditions was derived from the derived method detection limit of the instrument and the maximum monitoring period. Conclusion Our results provide a reference for the formulation of a plan of monitoring personal internal exposure dose.
