Some managers and medical personnel in the institutions of maternal and child health were lack of ethical awareness.Their awareness about the protection of rights and interests of the subjects, informed consent, and research medical safety were not enough. There arised some ethical problems in reproductive medicine, prenatal diagnosis, new technology and new project review, and scientific research project application.Based on cause analysis, this paper put forward the corresponding countermeasures.Researchers should recognize the importance of medical research management and ethics review. It should strengthen the training of research ethics for hospital managers and researchers, meanwhile, strengthen the construction of ethics committee, strengthen the tracking and governance, and make good use of education and assessment measures,in order to promote the healthy development of maternal and child health medical research.

To investigate the prevalence of intestinal parasite infections in Yanbian Prefecture, Jilin Province, China, epidemiological surveys were conducted on a collaboration basis between the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Yanbian Center for Disease Control and Prevention. A total of 8,396 (males 3,737 and females 4,659) stool samples were collected from 8 localities and examined with the formalin-ether sedimentation technique, and additionally examined with the cellotape anal swab to detect Enterobius vermicularis eggs. The overall rate of intestinal parasites was 1.57%. The prevalence of Ascaris lumbricoides was the highest (0.80%), followed by Entamoeba spp. (0.23%), heterophyid flukes (0.15%), Clonorchis sinensis (0.08%), Enterobius vermicularis (0.07%), hookworms (0.06%), Trichostrongylus spp. (0.06%), Giardia lamblia (0.04%), Paragonimus spp. (0.02%), Diphyllobothrium spp. (0.02%), Trichuris trichiura (0.02%). The prevalence by sex was similar, 1.58% (n=59) in males and 1.57% (n=73) in females. By the present study, it is partly revealed that the prevalences of intestinal parasite infections are relatively low among the inhabitants of Yanbian Prefecture, Jilin Province, China.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the chemical constituents of Ehretia thyrsiflora.
METHODCompounds were isolated with silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and RP-C18 colum chromatography. Their structures were elucidated by means of physico-chemical properties and spectral analysis.
RESULTSix compounds were isolated and identified as beta-sitosterol (1), ethyl caffeate (2), 2-methoxyl benzoic acid octyl ester (3), tetradecenoic acid, 2,3-dihydroxypropyl ester (4), daucoster (5), allantoin (6).
CONCLUSIONCompounds 1-5 were obtained from this species for the first time. Compounds 2-5 were obtained from the genus Ehretia for the first time.
