2.Clinicopathological characteristic analysis of three cases of colonic muco-submucosal elongated polyp
Chinese Journal of Digestion 2013;33(10):696-699
Objective To explore the clinicopathological features, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of colonic muco-submucosal elongated polyp (CMSEP).Methods The clinical manifestations, endoscopic and histological features of three cases of CMSEP were analyzed. The literature was reviewed with regard to the diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis. Results Three patients were male, and aged 25,45 and 75 years old.Two polyps were at transverse colon and one at rectum.Under colonoscope, all three cases showed the long pedunculated polyps. The surfaces of two polyps were smooth and the colors were similar to colonic mucosa while one polyp appeared mucosal erosion and congestion on the top.Under optical microscope, three cases had similar lesions. The axis of the lesions was expanded submucosa and the surface was the layer of colonic mucosa. The expanded and thick walled blood vessels were seen paralleled to the long axis in the submucosa of the axis of lesions. One polyp with mucosal erosion on the top presented with adenocarcinomal changes. Conclusions CMSEP is a kind of specific polypoid lesion, with characteristic colonoscopic and pathological features. Most are benign changes, however malignant changes occur in a few cases. In histology,CMSEP should be identified with mucosal prolapse syndrome associated inflammatory polyp.
3.Chemical carcinogen 3’-me-DAB affects proliferation and migration of rat hepatic stem cells
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(20):-
Objective To explore the relationship between hepatic stem cells and hematopoietic stem cells by detecting the expression of OV6 and CD34 in rat hepatic oval cells. Methods Healthy SD rat were fed with chemical carcinogen 3’-me-DAB for 4 weeks, then the rat hepatic tissue samples were obtained. The rats fed with normal forage served as normal controls. The expressions of OV6 and CD34, specific markers for oval cells and hematopoietic stem cells respectively, in rat hepatic stem cells were detected by immunocytochemical staining (ABC method). Results The oval cells positive for OV6 and CD34 were found in the limiting plate of portal area, mainly located around the Hering canal. In addition, some oval cells positive for OV6 and CD34 were found migrating to hepatic lobule, scattering in the hepatic cords. A great many mononuclear stem cells positive for OV6 and CD34 were also found in the hepatic parenchyma. Conclusion 3’-me-DAB could stimulate the proliferation of hepatic oval cells and hematopoietic stem cells and cause the hematopoietic stem cells derived from bone marrow to migrate to hepatic parenchyma and differentiate.

Modern Hospital 2015;15(5):22-24
Objective To investigate the inhibition of Sophora flavescens extract on the degree of inflammatory swelling of guinea pigs'skin with eczema, observe pathological changes and explore the effects of the anti-in-flammatory action, in order to provide experimental basis for clinical treatment. Methods Eczema models of 40 guinea pigs were set up by smearing 2, 4-dinitrochlorobenzene on their napes to cause sensitization and motivating in the inside of their right ears. All guinea pigs were randomly divided into 5 groups equally, including the model com-pared group, positive control group and high, medium, low concentration groups of sophora flavescens. After eczema skin was continuously administered drugs for 14 days, the same part with equal area of the left and right ears was taken and weighed. The difference between the left and right ears was used to evaluate the swelling degree of skin inflammation. The pathological changes were observed by making pathological slices with HE staining with the tissue blocks of right ears. Results Compared with the model group, the swelling degree of skin inflammation was significantly relieved and dermal edema and inflammatory cell infiltrating were significantly improved in the high and medi-um concentration groups of sophora flavescens (p<0.05).Compared with the positive group, the swelling degree of skin inflammation, dermal edema and inflammatory cell infiltrating were significantly alleviated in the high concentra-tion group of sophora flavescens ( p<0.05) .Conclusion Sophora flavescens extract can effectively reduce inflam-matory response of guinea pigs'skin with eczema, having a certain significance for the clinical treatment of eczema.
5.Growth factor in diabetic neuropathy and nerve regeneration
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1981;0(03):-
Diabetic neuropathy is the most common peripheral neuropathy, and it is important to enhance both nerve regeneration and prevent nerve degeneration in its treatment. Disturbed nerve regeneration in diabetes has been ascribed,at least in part,to decreases of some neurotrophic factors or the decreases of their receptor expressions. This paper reviewed the effect of some major neurotrophic factors on diabetic neuropathy and their application in clinical treatment.
6.Protective effects of oxytocin on maternal aggression in stress model rats
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2015;24(10):888-891
Objective To explore the effect of the different doses of oxytocin(OXT) on stress model aggressive behaviour in Wistar rats. Methods According to random number table,40 pregnant rats were divided into experimental stress groups (A, B, C) and control group(D) with 10 samples in each group. Before forced swimming test, rats in experimental groups (A, B, C)were given OXT via intraperitoneal injection with 0.3 mg/kg, 1.0 mg/kg,2.0 mg/kg;rats in group D were given equal volume of normal saline in the same way.At the 3rd day all rats were tested with maternal aggression, including mothers' following indices as total aggression times, biting times, pinning times, attack latency and duration of attack.Elevated plus maze (EPM) test was applied to analyze the behavioral changes. Results In terms of the duration of attack and attack latency, the indexes of group A and group D were significantly different from relevant data ((147.60±23.92) s and(79.70±9.88) s, P<0.05), while other indexes had no difference(P>0.05).The duration of attack and attack latency had a significant difference ((3.10±0.87) times, (13.60±5.14)times, (91.30±9.74)s and(167.20±30.02) s, P<0.01) between group B and group D except total aggression times(P>0.05).Group C and group D in given indexes had significant differences showing (6.40± 1.34) times, (15.10±4.35) times, (23.70±3.46) times, (49.80± 5.53) s and (215.60± 39.55) s (P<0.01).Group A and group B in given indexes had significant differences (P< 0.05);and group B and group C had a significant difference (P<0.01)except pinning times(P>0.05).In EPM ,the open arm entry ratio and the open arm time ratio of both group A and group D were significantly different from respective percentage (0.47±0.13) and (0.13±0.05) (P<0.01).The significant difference was found in group B and group D(P<0.01);group A and group B had a statistical difference(P<0.05);there was no difference in both groups in open arm time ratio(P>0.05).Conclusion Oxytocin potentially mediates maternal aggression by attenuating stress, and improves the intimate bonding between mother and pups, which means dose dependency of OXT in this process.
7.Effect of Ethyl Pyruvate on Expression of Caspase-3 in Hippocampus and Learning and Memory in Rats with Hypoxic Ischemic Brain Damage
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2016;22(4):409-412
Objective To investigate the effect of ethyl pyruvate (EP) on the expression of caspase-3 in the hippocampus and the learn-ing and memory ability in neonatal rats with hypoxic ischemic brain damage (HIBD). Methods 90 Wistar rats of 7 days old were randomly divided into sham operation group (n=15), HIBD group (n=15), EP1 group (n=15, 10 ml/kg), EP2 group (n=15, 30 mg/kg), EP3 group (n=15, 50 mg/kg) and EP4 group (n=15, 100 mg/kg). The model was established with Rice's method. 30 minutes before operation, and every 24 hours after operation, EP groups were injected with 10 ml/kg, 30 mg/kg, 50 mg/kg, 100 mg/kg EP in abdomen respectively, for 2 weeks. Af-ter treatment, the caspase-3 positive cells were observed by immunohistochemical staining, and the latency and the times crossing the target quadrant were tested by Morris water maze test. Results The caspase-3 positive cells were less in EP groups than in HIBD group (P<0.05), expect EP1 group (P>0.05), especially in EP3 group (P<0.01). The latency and the times crossing the target quadrant were better in EP groups than in HIBD group (P<0.05), expect EP1 group (P>0.05), especially in EP3 group (P<0.01). Conclusion Ethyl pyruvate can de-crease the expression of caspase-3 in hippocampus, and improve the ability of memory and learning in neonatal rats with HIBD.
