3.Hospital runners and personnel's attitudes towards structural reform in public hospitals

Objective To find out about the attitudes of hospital runners, academic leaders and key members of the technical force in public hospitals about structural reform in their institutions and to explore modes and methods for such reform. Methods Survey questionnaires were designed, anonymous surveys were conducted on the spot, and statistical analyses were made of the data collected. Results Surveys on 1904 people in 55 second- and third-tier hospitals indicated that 84.9% were in favor of structural reform in their institutions; 89.7% played an active part in the reform; 86.8% held that structural reform should first be carried out in large and medium-sized hospitals; 96.6% were in favor of such reform modes as government-controlled stock systems, government-owned and civilian-run hospitals, and non-governmental hospitals, with 66% of them supporting the mode of government-controlled stock systems. Conclusion The majority of hospital runners, academic leaders and key members of the technical force in public hospitals actively support structural reform in their institutions and their views with regard to the modes and methods for such reform are in accordance with the guidelines put forward by the government. Sound ideological foundations have been laid for duly promoting structural reform in public hospitals.
5.Influence of Danggui buxue tang on the proliferation of bone marrow cells of mice

The experiment was conducted at the Basic Laboratory of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Chengdu University of TCM from March 2005 to March 2006. A total of 40 BALB/C male mice aged 6-8 weeks were selected, and randomly assigned into 4 groups: bcl-2 control group, bcl-2 experimental group, cmy-c control group and cmy-c experimental group with 10 in each group. From the first day of experiment, all the mice were treated with 5 g/L cyclophosphamide solution by intraperitoneal injection for successively 5 days, 6 mL/kg per day. From days 11 to 12, the mice in the bcl-2 experimental group and cmy-c experimental group received Danggui buxue tang by gastric perfusion, 6 mL/kg per day for 10 days. The mice in the control group received saline of the same volume. At day 20, all the mice were killed to obtain bone marrow cells of one side femoral bone of mice. The smear received bcl-2 in situ hybridization immunohistochemical staining after centrifugalization and washing in the bcl-2 control and bcl-2 experimental group. The smear received cmy-c in situ hybridization immunohistochemical staining after centrifugalization and washing in the cmy-c control and cmy-c experimental group. Five fields of each section were red into image analyzer. The sum of positive cell area and the sum of integral absorbance in each field were analyzed. The results showed that the sum of positive cell area was (16.11?3.01)?102 ?m2, and the sum of integral absorbance was (19.9?2.42)?105 in the bcl-2 experimental group. 6.Analysis on distribution and drug resistance of pathogens causing central venous catheter-related infections

Objective To understand the distribution and drug resistance of pathogens causing catheter related bloodstream in‐fection (CRBSI) to provide reference for clinical treatment .Methods The distribution and drug resistance of pathogens isolated from the central venous catheter from January 2011 to June 2015 were retrospectively analyzed .Results Among 731 submitted samples ,38 cases were CRBSI ,with the positive rate of 5 .3% ,in which ,the Gram‐positive cocci accouted for 26 .3% of isolated bacteria and dominated by Staphylococcus epidermidis (13 .2% ) ,moreover which was MRSE .MRSA and VRE were not detected . Gram‐negative bacilli accounted for 73 .7% of isolated bacteria and dominated by Acinetobacter baumannii (42 .1% ) ,which was most sensitive to amikacin with the sensitivity rate of 87 .5% .Conclusion Acinetobacter baumannii is most common pathogen in CRBSI with serious drug resistance ,therefore the operating should be standardized in clinical work for controlling infection .
7.Twist regulation of EMT and its clinical significance in monitoring circulating tumor cells and evaluating effects of anticancer drugs

Tumor cell plasticity, including epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) and its reverse program, mesenchymal to epithe-lial transition (MET), regulates circulating tumor cells and carcinoma metastasis. Twist is overexpressed in rhabdomyosarcoma, breast cancer, gastric cancer, and other tumors. Twist, as a transcriptional factor, cross-talks with multiple signaling pathways, forming a com-plex network to participate in the regulation of EMT/MET in circulating tumor cells, which in turn promotes metastasis of tumor cells. Therefore, monitoring the level of Twist and epithelial–mesenchymal phenotypic molecules is important as it may be beneficial for in-creasing the detection ratio of circulating tumor cells as tumor biomarkers and for evaluating the effects of anticancer drugs.
8.Clinical and Pathological Analysis of Acute Renal Failure in Children

Objective To study the etiology, clinical and pathological characteristics, therapy and prognosis of acute renal failure (ARF). Methods The literature of 80 treated children with ARF from 1988. 1 to 2003.10 was reviewed. Results Sixty three cases (78.8%)suffered from mtrarenal ARF;47 glomerulonephritls (58. 8%); 15(18. 8%)prerenal ARF;2(2 5%)postrenal obstructive ARF. Twenty three cases with renal biopsy,9(39. 1%)MsPGN;4 (17. 4% ) MPGN; 4 (17. 4%) crescentic glomerulonephntis; 3 (13% ) endocapillary glomerulonephritls;2(8 7% )proliferative and sclerosing glomerulonephritis; 1(1. 3% )minimal changes. According to the different etiologic and pathological characteristics,different therapies were applied,infusion,oral prednisone ,and intravenous pulses of methylprednisone and cyclosphosphamide ,dialysis, or diuretic therapy and lowering blood. Thirty one (38. 8% )cases recov-ered;27(33 8% )cases improved; 10( 12.5% ) cases gave up treatments;21 (26 3% )died. 9.Steps to further reform the public hospital system

The ongoing health reform is bringing reforms of public hospitals under spotlight in China, attracting growing attention onto its progress and roadblocks. Probing into the "three steps" of public hospital system reform in Wuxi, this article analyzed such a reform in the city. It described the measures and initial outcomes gained in such fields as the hospital trusteeship reform, the separation of hospital regulation from its administration, and the hospital board system. Citing the case of Wuxi No. 2 People's hospital as an example, the authors introduced the innovative efforts made in hospital internal mechanism, management innovation, medical service model, hospital connotation construction, and talents cultivation.
10.Preparation of total glucosides in paeony sustained-release pellets by fluidized bed coating method

Objective To prepare totel glucosides in paeony(TGP) pellets by extrusion-spheronization and to optimize the formulation of TGP sustained-release pellets coated with Eudragit RS 100.Methods The TGP sustained-release pellets were prepared by mini Glatt fluidized bed coating method.The factors to influence the drug release behaviors and their properties were evaluated.Results The optimal TGP sustained-release pellet was shown significant sustained-releasing at the loading weight of copolymers of 6% and the plasticizer concentration of 10%.And the curves of cumulative drug release were fit for Peppas and Higuchi equation.Conclusion The pellets showed an obviously sustained-release effect.
